Version: 1.0.71
by: kendaron [More]
This is a must have addon for the budding provisioner.

- See every recipe available in the game.
- See what recipe your characters have and do not have. (You can see other CookeryWiz users too!)
- Browse all recipes any time, any place.
- Search recipes using free text.
- Enter any number of items to cook... and have the correct ingredient list calculated.
- Cooks all the items for you!
- Automatically add provisioner writ items to the quantity to be cooked for any of your characters.
- Grabs writ food items from the bank or guild bank
- Send your list of known recipes to any player so they can order from you or just so you can see what they are missing!
- And lots, lots more!

NOTE: If you close the CookeryWiz window and need to get it back, you can toggle the display by binding CookeryWiz to a keyboard key or simply typing '/cw' or '/cookerywiz' in chat

Translations
Thanks to ThalonMook and Suzie Q for German translations!

What's New

- CookeryWiz now searches ingredients by default. No more selecting it from the filter dropdown!

- CookeryWiz now has 3 favourite types! Just click the heart icon next to the recipe to cycle through them. A new drop down allows you to filter on one of these favourite types.

- CookeryWiz has more known recipe icons. (Thanks frickinmuck!)

- CookeryWiz will has changed the way he celebrates. No more dull white, the pulse is the color quality of the recipe you learned.

- CookeryWiz has favourites! Just click on the love heart icon next to the recipe and it will become a favourite. Click it again and it is not! You can see your favourite recipes by selecting the new category 'Favourites' in the dropdown.

- If the mini icon is enabled, CookeryWiz will celebrate with you when you learn a new recipe by pulsing!

- Shrink functionality is gone! Instead a mini icon is now shown. Clicking on this icon will toggle the CookeryWiz window. It is moveable, and fades, and is useful for people who do not bind CookeryWiz to a keyboard key. The icon can be disabled through CookeryWiz options. Your attention will be drawn to the icon with a pulse animation (as fading can make it harder to see). This animation only occurs until the first time you hover the mouse over the icon.
If the mini icon is disabled, then it will show on the default cooking station interface when it is activated. This means you will always be able to find CookeryWiz without needing to use the /cw commands

- Yay! A new category has been added to the filter options... Cookable. Select this option to filter recipes in the list to only those you can cook. This means the recipes you know, have skills for and required ingredients.

- Recipe icons in bag/store/bank now show the food level above them.

- A new option has been added to the recipe list menu. You can select it to cook the maximum amount possible. Who wants to bother with all that typing!

- CookeryWiz now shows you how many items of food you could possibly create with your ingredients!

- CookeryWiz has decided the in-built cooking station interface needed to go. So now when you cook you see only his own! However, if you are particularly fond of the old, dull interface you can restore it via CookeryWiz options window

- Recipes in the CookeryWiz scroll list that you do not know are now faded. This means the 'tick' is no longer required. If you do like the tick it can be enabled once again through CookeryWiz options.

- For those that prefer a simpler knowledge icon, there is now another to choose from! You can select which icon to display from the CookeryWiz Options window

- CookeryWiz has decided to show the name of the food crafted rather than the recipe name. This looks less cluttered and helps our non English speaking friends!

- CookeryWiz has taken a selfie! (No fake online dating profiles thanks) You can now see him in game showing you which recipes are known to your characters. Hover over his icon in your bag/bank/guild bank or store and see who has yet to learn it

- Ever the vain, CookeryWiz has had a makeover! In addition to the tooltips for recipes, food and items, he now shows pretty icons for food and ingredients.

- Performance of the recipe and ingredient scroll lists has been improved dramatically, allowing CookeryWiz to do less work. He muchly appreciates this as he is run ragged trying to help you guys!

- CookeryWiz has overcome his dislike of 'Lemon Flower Mazte' and has agreed to stop swapping it for his preferred, more manly drink 'Mazte' (thanks HankjUSA!)

- Have too many carrots wasting space? Burdened with fish while trying to catch that elusive perfect roe? Well now CookeryWiz allows you to search by ingredient! You can even search for that recipe that requires more than one ingredient. How? Separate each search term by a comma.

- Have a guild that likes to help out with food for writs? CookeryWiz has always had the ability to grab writ food from your bank, but now he can do it for Guild Banks! When you open a Guild Bank a button appears giving you the option to collect food. (If you don't like the position of this button, you can move it by clicking and dragging just to the left of the start of the text.)

- Been eagerly waiting to craft Psijic Ambrosia with CookeryWiz? Well now you can! A legendary quality option has been added to the quality dropdown. Select this and Voila! Psijic Ambrosia is available

- You can now easily link to recipes and the resulting food in chat by clicking on a recipe. This will bring up a menu providing you with the option.

- CookeryWiz is Imperial City ready! He has been updated with the latest recipes.

Re: Cooking the wrong item?

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the 'R' craft button issue... I hadn't noticed I had left it there. I have made a change so that if CookeryWiz is replacing the old interface the 'R' craft button now triggers the CookeryWiz 'Cook' button.

As you mentioned, CookeryWiz will attempt to cook the quantity of food specified. This is correct and is to avoid you having to do mental arithmetic. The amount you can possibly cook also takes into account your skill with extra servings so that is why you see 40 instead of 10

Apparently, I can't use the old "Craft" button, that defaulted to the item that would have shown up in the regular interface. It would be nice if the craft button was not there (easy to make a mistake), or it controlled what you cooked, also.

One other quirk (to me), when I wanted to cook 8 of an item, I would usually just cook something twice, since I would get 4 items each time. CW tries to cook just how many you want, so if I cook put in 1-4, I cook once.

Re: Response to low bag space...

Well what do you know! CookeryWiz now displays free space!

To be honest, if you can't tell already, I will typically set your tool to cook thousands of meals and then go off to do other tasks. Cooking can be boring the old-fashioned way! LOL!

Re: One more minor tweak...

I have been considering something that could be done to alert you to low bag space. My thoughts are that there could be an option which allows you to select a minimum number of slots at which a sound will be played. That allows you to step away from the computer while it is cooking and know. It would play this sound everytime the number of slots changes

so if you select minimum of 3, when cooking and minimum reaches 3 it will play the sound and keep cooking, when there are 2, it will play the sound again, and same at 1 and maybe a different full sound at 0. Of course this could be disabled too.

I could also just display free space, perhaps up the top to the right of the character dropdown

I do know that your tool will stop cooking when I run out of ingredients or bag space to store items so I won't worry about losing anything but it would be nice to see when I'm nearing my bag capacity so that I can go bank and get back to cooking.

Re: Winner!!!

You are welcome... and just to let you know... something is in the pipeline to help you with your extra ingredients! (and no, it isn't just deleting them )

I especially like how you've done the math in this new column for someone who can cook multiple servings! (I've been mentally doing the multiplication.) Good riddance to the default tool! I'm back to only using CookeryWiz!

Initially, I was skeptical until I combined using the level sets you've provided i.e., v1-v10 along with the quantities you calculated. I can now easily see how many meals I can cook with the ingredients I have on hand. Further as I combine multiple recipes I can quickly see when I've exceeded the available ingredients.

For those would-be chefs, you can make a ton of money as a chef!

Thank you for listening!

Thanks BigM,

What do you think I could improve on the addon to make it easier to use?

One more minor tweak...

The one thing that I have noticed which is quite minor however relevant is that now that I've displaced the embedded tool is that I no longer have visibility to the available open bag slots I have on my person. I only noticed this after cooking hundreds of meals I just about ran out of bag slots to store them in. I do know that your tool will stop cooking when I run out of ingredients or bag space to store items so I won't worry about losing anything but it would be nice to see when I'm nearing my bag capacity so that I can go bank and get back to cooking.

Re: Replacement to standard interface...

I have now added the number of items of a particular recipe you could possibly cook beside the recipe!

This is slightly different from the standard ESO number as it takes into account your skills with extra servings.

If that's what folks are meaning by missing dependencies then I too would like to at least see the required/available ingredients when I hover over a recipe versus having to enter some fake value. For the moment I'm going to revert back to previous version.

The dependency should be enabled by default but maybe

The missing creation tooltip is now back!

Also noticed that if I set "Cooking Station Interaction: Display CookeryWiz" (the old way), it seams to remove the "whats created" box in the middle of the screen when I mouse over my recipes in the default cook window (on right).

Going back to previous version until this can be corrected.
