Did they ever explain why?

The "preview in empty world" background is WAY too bright (imo) and makes it hard to see my character (especially with dark dyes). Can you change the background to be the same as the furniture preview "world"? Perhaps it could even be a choice in the settings of the add-on so people can choose which one they prefer.
Seconded.

I like the new dyes, but can you make it possible to create your own favorite list of the predifined dyes? There a to much of them xD (How many are they btw?). And would it be possible to show what colors are used in the current colorset?

Here's to hoping ZOS might revert that change to unowned armor previews. This mod's been a big help in figuring aesthetics out and deciding which motifs I'm gunna actually use

Thats really sad.. its not like we can't see motifs we don't own just by going to a website.. but now we have to buy a motif just to see how it looks on our character. Two steps forward one step back..
No kidding. When your designated crafting character isn't the character you're wanting to preview gear on it's useless. Hopefully they revert that change

Sry, other colors, previewing weapons/shields and locking slots are not possible.
According to the API there is a color field for previewing armor, but it doesn't do anything when I pass values. That's probably because the previewing API is still in development by ZOS and some features are not implemented yet.

The preview API is the current state of development of ZOS' official preview mode. You best give these suggestions to ZOS via /feedback. Maybe they will add these things to their preview mode.

Otherwise, this is a brilliant mod and one that I'll really enjoy having. Thank you.
Agreed, or even a darker grey, as i stated. No reply as of yet from dev. still very helpful.
