Foundry Tactical Combat (FTC) - Endless Archive  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.32
by: Rhyono [More]
I've retired from ESO and I am relying on code contributions for maintenance: GitHub Repo

A continuation of Atropos' Foundry Tactical Combat. This is an updated version of Demiknight's patch. The change log has more info, main changes below:

Added the option to show @names in place of character names when in a group (shown in the attached image) or when targeting someone.

Added a keybind for refreshing the group frame. Despite the addon's attempts to the contrary, sometimes it will fail to load a group member(s). This will force an unobtrusive refresh so that you don't have to /reloadui to fix it.

Added the ability to disable healing logs/text out of combat or at all times. Individual options for combat log and scrolling text.

Solinur updated buff tracking.

No, my comment was to another person who posted those exact same errors.

In technical terms, in LUA both `else if` and `elseif` are valid but they are treated differently, if there is a space, you must use 2 end statements, one for the else part, and one for the if part.

However `elseif` as one word is a key word which is a specialized else, so it only requires one end statement. The error says 'end expected in function at line 150` meaning the author meant for it to be one word but must have accidentally added the space, all the following checks were all `elseif` as one word which is how I knew that was their intention.

Error occurred upon logging in today:

Code:
user:/AddOns/FoundryTacticalCombat/character/functions.lua:371: end expected (to close function at line 150) near '<eof>'
Code:
user:/AddOns/FoundryTacticalCombat/FoundryTacticalCombat.lua:82: attempt to index a nil value
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/FoundryTacticalCombat/FoundryTacticalCombat.lua:82: in function 'FTC.Initialize'
Large box like Sargon_Starblade mentioned below after clearing LUA errors:
"Foundry Tactical Combat by Atropos/Philgo"

FTC does not initialize and we currently have vanilla health/mag/stam to use.

FTC not loading

The addon worked fine yesterday. However today when I logged in all that appears is a large box in the center of the screen that says, "Foundry Tactical Combat by Atropos/Philgo".

I first made sure it was the latest version, that didn't work.

Then I uninstalled it and deleted the saved variables and that also didn't work.

It shows up in the addons list but not in the settings/addons. I took a screen shot but I cannot see how to post it here.

Yep, that was the ticket, thanks!

These issues should be resolved in 1.18, but keep reporting anything encountered in that version.

Error report

Only one type of error so far, pretty rare, only seen it 2x (about 0.5-2 played hours grouped per day)

Different one just now, about 20 times in the first minute waiting for a raid in Rockgarden. Disabled after that because it was spamming and couldn't do anything.

Same... and similar stack trace as below...

Code:
user:/AddOns/FoundryTacticalCombat/character/functions.lua:223: attempt to index a nil value
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/FoundryTacticalCombat/character/functions.lua:223: in function 'FTC.Player:UpdateShield'
user:/AddOns/FoundryTacticalCombat/core/events.lua:238: in function 'FTC.OnVisualAdded'
Note... it wasn't consistent... there were numerous times I was in combat with the guy in my group (and our companions) and there were no issues... it seems to happen when another person not in our group was also in the combat and my mouse was on or very near that person... or his companion maybe?
