Arkadius' Trade Tools  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.0.0
by: Arkadius, Aldanga, Verbalinkontinenz
Arkadius' Trade Tools is a modular framework with the goal to provide traders with useful trading tools and information and to help trade guild masters managing their guilds. Each added module will extend the functionality of ATT in some way. Modules come as their own addons and can therefore simply be deactivated via the addons menu if not needed.

Currently there are the following modules:
  • Sales
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Collects sales from the player's guilds and displays them as a list which can be filtered in various ways. The information gained from these sales is used in multiple ways:
      • Guild rosters are extended by two additional columns, Purchases and Sales, which display the particular volume per guild member and selected time frame
      • Item tooltips are extended by the average price and a graph displaying the price development. The time frame for these calculations (1-30 days) can manually be selected.
      • Item price statistics can be inserted into chat. For non-English clients there is an option to post the statistics in English.
      • When browsing guild stores, listings also display the average price of the given item, so the player can see if it's over or underpriced

Sales are stored for up to 30 days, depending on per-guild user settings. Most features can be enabled or disabled in the user settings.

  • Purchases
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Saves purchases the player makes from guild traders and displays them as a list. This module may especially be useful for resellers to remember what they paid for a particular item. Purchases can be saved for up to 30 days.

  • Statistics
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Allows other modules to send in statistic information which is then displayed as an assembled list. (currently only used by Sales)

  • Exports
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Allows saving of guild-level sales data for export to CSV.

The community is free to write additional modules. Currently following external modules are known:
  • My Donation:
    • Adds a tabbed window which tracks your own deposits into guildbanks (up to 365 days) and enhances your overview, whether you met a guilds requirement not only on the sales side.

Currently supported languages:
  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Russian

Slash commands:
  • /att
Toggle the visiblity of the main window

Addtional notes:
  • All data is stored per megaserver

Current Todo List/Feature Requests:
  • Adding craft cost support for more master writ types.
  • More customization for Deal Finder (margin, total sales, etc.)
  • Review of how writs are priced. Currently this is done by type and quality, but certain event writs don't really price well using that model. Traits and style mats can significantly impact craft cost, which can also affect price.
  • Review and rework of the sales window checkboxes as they provide information of limited value since the guild history API changes.
  • Investigate removing outliers from visible sales data. This could severely impact performance negatively, so no promises on this one.

Many thanks to my NA alpha testers, who catch way too many bugs and provide great feedback and feature suggestions:

function expected instead of nil

I've been getting this error since the recent ESO update, I think.
I've deleted all Saved Var files.
I've tried disabling all other addons.
With no active addons other than ATT, (even disabled ATT Exports, ATT Purchases, ATT Sales, and ATT Stats), and with no ATT saved vars, I still get this error:

Code:
UI Error: 665AD979

Need Advice Please

I have had a lot of issues trying to get this to work. Finally a couple of days a go, I thought I had it working.
Not posted pics before, so hope these links work.
When I first log in, and press G to go to guilds.
When there, I go to history - Image1

https://imgbox.com/ulgGsykZ

When I choose trader - Image2

https://imgbox.com/bkMertuw

Whe I choose Aetherius - Image3

https://imgbox.com/QdcGZxF0

To all intent and purposes, all now seems to be as it should be and sales look OK Image4

https://imgbox.com/tXQ3hECQ

Only the top 2 guilds have traders. Same issue on EU/NA servers
I am not getting any error messages at all and I can switch between Alts, without any warning message appearing when I log out. As long as I stay in game, no problems appear, that I am aware of.
As soon as I quit the game, is where my problem is.
When I log back in, I have to do all this over again. It seems that I am not saving/updating when all bars are green.
I am on Win 10 - insatlled on an SSD drive and currenlty not rumming any antivirus software. Accept Widows Defender and Malaware bytes, free version.
Any help suggestions please, in what may be wrong, or I am doing wrong. Hope I have explained this OK. Cheers H.

See if this is an ATT issue. Bought 3 items from a Trader. Last item purchased is not listed under ATT's Purchase view
https://imgur.com/a/POY8M77

After purchasing more items later, it appears in ATT's Purchase view

I will stay in this version for now.

I fully support it.
I installed LibHistoire before patch 41. And I was sure that all the data had been pumped. The addon is unique.
All the problems are the crooked work on the part of the server and failures. And now LibHistoire is helping to collect all the data.

I got this same error at about 930 PM EST, but didn't have any problems earlier at 1130 AM EST. ATT hasn't updated, maybe one of the dependencies?
This sounds like an edge case in the code that updates the ATT window status icons. If this error happens, it won't stop ATT from working properly, and the status icons will eventually update correctly.

I've got some changes I can push that should hopefully prevent the errors. This week has been non-stop IRL for me, but I will try to cut a new release soon.
I had not paid attention to those. I can confirm that my LibHis is all green and the ATT edge status icons are only checked 1/5.
Same for me after updating LibHistoire this morning:

Lua Code:
  1. user:/AddOns/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools.lua:131: attempt to index a nil value
  2. stack traceback:
  3. user:/AddOns/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools.lua:131: in function '(anonymous)'
  4. <Locals> setOne = F, i = 1, guild = [table:1]{id = 346416, linked = F} </Locals>

Got this same error today immediately when logged in with the first character. I guess it only happened after one of the recent Addon updates (MM 3.0, LibHistoire, Advanced Filters - Updated, LibScrollableMenu)

user:/AddOns/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools.lua:131: attempt to index a nil value
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools/ArkadiusTradeTools.lua:131: in function '(anonymous)'
|caaaaaa<Locals> setOne = F, i = 1, guild = [table:1]{id = 693403, linked = F} </Locals>|r

Since U41, continue to see this error for any character logged in:
Error parsing Bindings XML[bindings.xml(line 0)]: Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0

@Aldanga: Sorry for the long answer but such posts like the one of Sirb are just an example of no-brain-just-rant and must not be ignored or unanswered. Ppl like Sirb should understand that this behavior is just wrong.
If you feel that is inappropriate here, delete his and my (and following) answers at best. Thanks for your understanding.

@Sirb
1st You do not inform yourself about what is changed by ZOs and just write here to blame a library that, if not existing, would make all addons even be not working at all or even throw more errors? And you even name it worst library ever. You do know that without the lib your guild history was just slow and ATT in the past always fetched it from the server making it even slower, instead of using the "cached local data" (same like ZOs now does for exactly same reasons you blame them for: Fix servers getting slower). So your points are totaly wrong, you understand that yourself, right? Probably not. What's wrong with you guys...

2nd You blame that library because it shows a popup that helps players to not forget to update their history, because THAT actually was the biggest problem in the past (might be that this popup is not needed anymore now, yes, but that is still unclear)

3rd It's just too much to click "no" on the popup, even with 17 chars. It's always the same key you need to press there on your keyboard, not hard to remember. It closes properly if clicked on that button (but if you do so you will have to do the same next time, it does not solve your "problem". You just move it to next day, repeating until you understand what is done there and WHY -> ZOs! Guild history of ZOs was not provided "per request directly" but we needed to wait for the server to answer. Addons like ATT where trying to get those directly from the server, making it slower and slower. Addons like MM and others using LibHistoire were doing the same but checking which are needed and caching that properly so you were unstressing the servers in total -> WinWin for addons AND players).
As said above already: You do not seem to understand that and only see that 1 popup where you rant about, while that popup and LbHistoire make the servers be faster in total...
Another question would be why do you even enable the addons and libraries at all 17 characters?

Conclusion
You are just one of these grumpy guys who do not inform themselves properly and blame the ones that even try to make things work for you...
You are barking at the wrong tree

One should really ignore such Trolls like you are, but this had to be answered so ppl do not read your nonsense and think you are even only a bit of correct here.
Maybe now, if you read and understand my explanations, you at least think about it again and appologize. Perhaps we will see a bit of social behavior here.

Else:
Please just delete all addons and never talk about them anymore anywhere, as you clearly only wanted to rant about your few extra clicks and you do not deserve to use the addons then. Very sad a few guys like you exist, sorry to say.

And after ranting about the addons you rant about the game and servers.
Well, at best delete the game then And your problems are solved.

Next time: Inform yourself before you ink, please. Always a great idea.

I understand that it's an attempt to take into account the old junk servers from BUGthesda. But since they are now 16 years old, they should not be considered (they are from the time of the "won lawsuit" against Interplay). Miscast Game Destructor Todd Howard promised to get new servers, but unfortunately he hasn't found a suitable dump yet! Expecting paying players to play on servers that are <> 100 times slower than the current industry standard is a huge impudence!

The problem is that libHistoire frequently gets stuck, and the only way to fix it is to clear cache. For example, 3 out of 5 of my guilds today had to have their cache cleared. This is consistent with the advice of the author of LH.
If Sirinsidiator says to clear cache in particular situations, then do it. The issue here is that people have been clearing cache because the way the new system works hasn't made it into public consciousness yet.

However there is one case where the game "bricks" your history. You can recognize it when the status bar has a blue and a red segment that nearly touch and the ingame UI won't show the "Show more" button on the last page.

There is currently nothing that can be done about that, aside of closing the game and restoring a backup of the guild history cache files, or using the clear cache function for that category.
...
Typically I need to clear cache every day, sometimes it's just one guild, sometimes its most of them.
