This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
    Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

account-wide settings?

I have 12 'toons, most of them have the same rules set.

How do account-wide settings work... I mean, what does JunkBuster consider to be the ruleset that it uses to draw 'account-wide' from?

If I am on 'toon#1, does it make all the other 'toons then mimic it, and I do NOT set 'account-wide' to 'on' for any other 'toon?

Thanks for help understanding.

Rules double

Hello,
I see all rules double. When I save a new one, the second set of rules disappears. But after a /reloadui or login it re-appears. I have acoount wide settings activated (German UI).

I'm sorry that I can't provide any of the requested new features with this initial update for Elsweyr. Many of those suggested by people here I find very good and would truely love to implement. But sadly right now I just can't seem to find the time required to propperly do that. This is mostly because I'm currently head of a not so small ESO & Guild Wars 2 guild / gaming community which takes most of my free time (together with my ever growing games backlock...).
So if there's someone who's seriously interested in taking over the development of JunkBuster I'd not be against talking about that
In the meantime hopefully ESO will get back to the top of my gaming quene again xD

Can we have following additional rule filters?

* Stolen item subtype (because crows only need Cosmetics/Grooming/Toys/Games/Dishware/Drinkware/Utensils and maybe a couple more for their quests, and the tableware stuff is common like trash, but cosmetics/grooming are rather rare);

* Enchanted or not;

* Bound or not.

I second this, sorely needed. Those known green/white recipes that vendors at 9g and takes up a whole inventory space, just need to destroy them so I dont have to deal with them

Well I'm always short on gold in ESO so donations won't be turned away xD I'm on the EU server though so it would only work if you there too (acc name is @Atoom) as Mails don't work between different regions. Also I'm currently not that actively playing but plan on coming back once Elsweyr (and most importantly the Necromancer) launces xD.
Can't speak for ADH though as he hasn't worked on the addon in years and my only contact with him was back then when I took JunkBuster over from him.
This is great I'm going to try this today. Sorry it took so long to get back but business is booming rn so I want to get in as much as possible.

Okay so when you come back it should be easy for me to buy gold with crowns on the EU server I am part of a couple of crown exchanges and I get deep discounts. See you then and thanks!

I've though about something else that could be really useful, in my opinion.

For example, let's say I've got 200 breton style materials in bank. It's enough, I don't want more. That takes slots for nothing.
Would it be possible to add rules with quantities in bank and/or in bag ?
That way we could auto-destroy if the quantity has been reached.

What do you think ?

Hmm, you mean marking items to be automatically put in bank next time you visit one? Because it's impossible to put items into (or out of) bank if you're not currently at a banking npc viewing the bank interface.
