Tutorial video courtesy of @JGoss (outdated)

This update fixes Ability Bar save/load issues. In addition, the Gear Change window has been shifted to the right a bit to prep for the Orsinium DLC release on Nov. 2nd.

Anyone installing the addon fresh will have no issues, however if you have been using Outfitter previous to ESO 2.2.4, your Gear UI will be under the Character Stats ZOS added to the inventory screen. The easiest way to fix this is to click on your paperdoll, this will bring the Outfitter UI to the front, and you can move it to where you like to have it (and it will save that location going forward.)

If anyone has difficulty with doing this, or would rather edit the savedvariables file cause they like to be geeky/nerdy: in the WykkydsOutfitter.lua file in your savedvariables folder; change the line gc_shiftx to read: ["gc_shiftx"] = 600 ... This will force the UI to shift.

Note: This addon is in queue to be re-written. The interface will be improved as well as the functionality.

Wykkyd's Outfitter allows you to create GEAR SETS and ACTION BAR SETS from within the Inventory & Skills windows and load them at will. The sets you build in Outfitter can also be macro'd via Wykkyd's Macros and can, thus, be paired together and keybindable, if you so choose.

Swap your gear with a click!

Swap your action bar abilities with a click!

AS OF OUTFITTER 1.8.24.1 you will have to re-build all armor sets that you've built in the past. None of them will cross over and work properly. This is because I converted the addon over to use Zenimax's new item API for identifying your gear. This changed the ID codes associated with each piece of gear and that results in your old sets no longer being viable. I highly recommend you use the Outfitter popup window inside of the Inventory/Bags game window and re-build your sets before trying to equip them, or you might flood yourself offline.
  • All new item Identifier system = more accurate and faster gear moves
  • Cleaner item handling = fewer issues with duplicate or dual wielded items and shields
  • Faster item moves = slightly greater chance you could move too quickly and cause small item hangs. So try not to swap sets too quickly after each other (I recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 seconds, and I also recommend reloading your user interface occasionally between multiple swaps to keep things running smooth).
  • DO NOT open or close your bags or manually click any gear while an item move is taking place
  • WARNING swapping gear-sets while mounted will dismount you if your swap includes any weapons
  • WARNING swapping skill sets CAN result in a graphical bug with your ability icons. Toggling between weapon 1 & 2 a few times really quick usually resolves this bug (it is a game bug and I cannot directly fix it, sorry).

NEW WITH WYKKYDS MACROS (separate addon) you can now take advantage of a VERY ADVANCED user interface, via the new features of the MACRO WINDOW.
  • Firstly: You can swap both action bars AND a gear set in a SINGLE macro with 1 press. The inactive weapon's skills will load when you swap to it. It will even prompt you in chat to toggle your weapons to finish loading your skills.
  • ADVANCED FEATURE: Macro Key Intercept (ESC > Settings > Wykkyd Settings > Macro Key Intercept)
    • MAKE SURE TO KEYBIND THE MACRO WINDOW (ESC > Controls > Keybindings > Wykkyd's Framework Macro Window)
    • Opening the macro window with this setting enabled WILL INTERCEPT ALL KEYSTROKES
      • This doesn't log what you're typing. That would be silly since it would only be able to write them to your saved variables file, which nobody but you has access to.
      • This DOES interrupt gameplay temporarily, but that is by design.
      • This is SPECIFICALLY so that you can re-map your keys WHEN INSIDE THIS WINDOW to whatever you wish, WITHOUT interrupting your normal game keybinds
    • When the macro window is open, you can HOLD CONTROL to enable key mapping (which lets you set which key triggers which macro)
    • Hovering your mouse cursor over a TAB button, a MACRO button or the CLOSE button while holding CONTROL lets you set that button to be triggered by the keyboard key that you press.
    • EXAMPLE: Setting a keybind inside the macro window
      • Open the macro window
      • Hold CONTROL on your keyboard
      • MOUSEOVER the first macro button
      • Press 1 (while still mousing over, and still holding control)
      • Macro 1 will now be set to the number key 1 whenever the macro window is open, but not at any other time
    • EXAMPLE USAGE: Swapping gear with a macro, using these new keybinds
      • Press HOME (my keybind for opening the macro window, in Controls>Keybinds)
      • Press 1 (my keybind, set inside the macro window, for Macro Button 1)
      • Press ` (my keybind, set inside Controls>Keybinds, for swapping weapons)

I understood this before I posted. And, believe it or not, I get your intent with this approach. In my original post, I noted that I *do* have the macro window open, when I attempt to use the feature. It is simply not working, when I press the macro bound keys.

I appreciate your detailed post, regarding how you personally make use of your addon, as well as the reason for the design. I get it. Overload the keybindings, using a toggle (macro window), such that a user doesn't require near as many total keybinds. Its a good thing. I'm just noting that it isn't working for me.

Nothing in your post explained specifically what I am doing wrong. I get that I might be using what you would personally consider sub-optimal keybinds. But, fundamentally I believe I'm doing the same thing. Difference being, I'm currently only using Tab1, and binding NUMPAD keys 1-3, instead of 1-3. Maybe I must bind the Tab 1, as well? I just assumed it would default to it?

Here are my bindings.

Macro Window open/close: u

Tab 1: unbound
Tab 2: unbound
Tab 3: unbound
Tab 4: unbound

Macro 1: NUMPAD 1
Macro 2: NUMPAD 2
Macro 3: NUMPAD 3
Macro 4: unbound
Macro 5: unbound
Macro 6: unbound
Macro 7: unbound

Unless you are saying that with the new keybind system, I must bind macro's 1-9 to keyboard key 1-9, as you've done?

I have cleared and reset my gear and skill sets and set up new macros in the Macro Window. I can click on them fine but am unable to do any keybindings. I tried using ctrl and hovering method but either I am doing it wrong or that isn't working as well.

What is my fail?

I don't mind bringing up the Macro Window and clicking but I miss my keybindings for Outfitter.

Thanks in advance for any guidance XD
They were replaced with a more advanced system. Read the addon download page. Watch the video. Also read the comment below by me from 1:01pm today. The combination of those three should fully educate you

Maybe I am just missing something - but cannot find it. I had these blue marks one hour ago before the upgrade to the new Wykkyds versions.
It could be that they are behind something else, if you have other addons that mark items.

I plan to see if I can move that around tonight anyway. Keep your eyes open for the change log.
I only updated your addons, and I was in the game directly before I upgraded your addons - and the blue marks were there (I did read your page and was in the game to take notes of my gear - which item in which set - to redo it after the upgrade ) And these marks helped me a lot to take these notes.
Ok, I'll look when I get home.

Issue 2: Opening macro window forces "Cursor mode", even with macro key intercept "off".
I feel that I need to explain further how this new keybind system works (to clear up confusion), because you, unfortunately, are using it wrong. I blame myself for not explaining this clearly enough, not you.

FOR ALL USERS WHO ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY WITH THE NEW KEYBIND SYSTEM:

The new "Macro Key Intercept" setting uses a UI feature that Zenimax provided called "Keyboard Enabled". This setting turns the macro window into a "Keyboard Enabled" window, and that means that the macro window, when it is displayed on screen, intercepts all key strokes.

This means that with that setting enabled your key strokes don't go to the rest of the game anymore... just the macro window.

This means that the keybinds you set within the macro window, using this feature are only active when the macro window is open.

You can, for example, set MACRO BUTTON 1 to be keybound to the W key. When you're running around the game world like normal with the macro window closed, W would move your character forward like it always did (provided you didn't move the default keybind). When you open the macro window, however, W would trigger macro button 1 and would NOT move you forward.

Why would I do this? First, the original keybind system is being added back this evening after I get home from work. So you'll have that to return to if you so choose. However, I did this because I needed something far more enhanced for my purposes.

See... I don't like having a million and one keybinds and I find that the game already has too many, since there is no way to keybind "modded" keys in the default Controls menu. IE: you can't bind CTRL+X to your inventory screen... only X (if that's the key you wanted to use).

As a result, the 'lower than normal MMO' keybind volume that this game has, even without addons, sprawls to cover most of the keyboard already. Add in a few addons and you quickly become overwhelmed.

I needed my keybinds for swapping gear to take up the same space as other existing addons. I have multiple sets of gear and I fulfill multiple roles. I am a nightblade vampire. I tank. I dps. I heal. I pvp. I pve. I have select lists of gear and skills to fill each role combination. The result is a whopping 20+ gear/skill sets. That would be more than 20 direct keybinds, if I went that route. That would be extremely cumbersome.

The only way to circumvent this is to use the "keyboard intercept" method. So I only have one native keybind: HOME (which is bound to my left pinky, the button labeled '1' on my Razer Tartarus).

I tap that, and the macro window pops up. I then hit '1' on my Razer Naga, and it equips the first gear set: Stamina Solo, which is 2h & bow.

I tap HOME again, the macro window pops up. I then hit "F" on my Razer Naga, by flipping the scroll wheel left, and it swaps to tab 2 of the macro window. I tap the '1' on my Razer Naga and I'm now wearing my Stamina Group build, which is also 2h & bow but uses slightly different bars.

Etc etc etc.

So now the same exact keys I'm using anyway can be mapped to trigger gear/skill set changes whenever the macro window is open, so that I can change through over 20 gear/skill sets by using 10 keys.

Open Macro Window / Close Button: bound to HOME (which is mapped to button 1 of my Razer Tartarus in Synapse config)
Tab 1: bound to toggling my scroll wheel right (which is mapped to E in Synapse config, the default for loot/interact)
Tab 2: bound to toggling my scroll wheel left (which is mapped to F in Synapse config, the default for friendly interact)
Tab 3: bound to mouse 4 (which is mapped to . in Synapse config, the default for release mouse cursor)
Tab 4: bound to mouse 5 (which is mapped to NUMLOCK in Synapse config, the default for auto-run)
Macro 1: bound to 1 (which is the default action bar slot 1)
Macro 2: bound to 2 (which is the default action bar slot 2)
Macro 3: bound to 3 (which is the default action bar slot 3)
Macro 4: bound to 4 (which is the default action bar slot 4)
Macro 5: bound to 5 (which is the default action bar slot 5)

Tab 1 is my solo setups. Tab 2 is my group setups. Tab 3 is solo pvp. Tab 4 is group pvp.

If I'm in group pvp I hit: HOME (left pinky) > mouse 5 > mouse numpad 1 = I'm in pvp group stamina build.

Once you get used to it, it's lightening fast. The point is this mapping system requires less hand movement because you don't have to reach for keys like the F keys, the numpad, etc. You can literally map them over top of 1 through 5, WASD, E, R, X, C, Z, Q, T... keys you're already using. So that you can swap gear without moving your hand across the keyboard or leaving your mouse.

And of course, as mentioned above, the default "normal" keybind system will be returning this afternoon for those who prefer it.

It's been able to do both skill bars inside a SINGLE skill set since January, when it was named Wykkyd's Action Bar Tools, before it was merged with Wykkyd's Gear Controls to become Wykkyd's Outfitter. (and heck, back then it was command-line only and still handled it).

Blue marks in Inventory for "Set-Items"?

Hello!

First I want to thank you for a great addon - I just love it!

With the update today I cannot see the blue marks in the inventory for the "Set-Items" anymore!

This was very useful, because I did not sell or destroy these items

Maybe I am just missing something - but cannot find it. I had these blue marks one hour ago before the upgrade to the new Wykkyds versions.

Firstly: You can swap both action bars AND a gear set in a SINGLE macro with 1 press. The inactive weapon's skills will load when you swap to it. It will even prompt you in chat to toggle your weapons to finish loading your skills.
I'm a little confused as to why you say this is a new feature. You could do this with the old outfitter. I constantly switched between my healing gear/skills and my soloing gear/skills with just one press. I've got soloing hotkeyed to 7 and healing hotkeyed to 8 and would only have to press it once, but manually switch the weapons to finish loading the skills as prompted in chat. I'm just confused about why this was written as a new functionality when it's been there all along.

The old version didn't need to open the macro window before pressing the keybound that's prolly why I missed this new behaviour. Your instructions were clear tho.
Tnx for your support.
the direct keybinds will be returning tonight.

I read your instructions on the download page and everything is working fine if I call the macros by clicking on the button in the macro window.
I keybounded every macro but they don't work if I press the corresponding keystroke (no error messages), but they do if I click the corresponding button in the macro window.

Could I be missing something?

Thank you so much for your hard work.
if you want the first macro button assigned to NUMPAD+, for example, you would hold CONTROL and MOUSEOVER the macro button and press NUMPAD+ all at the same time. To use it, you would hit your keybind to open the macro window then hit NUMPAD+ and it would close the window and process the macro.
