This update fixes Ability Bar save/load issues. In addition, the Gear Change window has been shifted to the right a bit to prep for the Orsinium DLC release on Nov. 2nd.

Anyone installing the addon fresh will have no issues, however if you have been using Outfitter previous to ESO 2.2.4, your Gear UI will be under the Character Stats ZOS added to the inventory screen. The easiest way to fix this is to click on your paperdoll, this will bring the Outfitter UI to the front, and you can move it to where you like to have it (and it will save that location going forward.)


If anyone has difficulty with doing this, or would rather edit the savedvariables file cause they like to be geeky/nerdy: in the WykkydsOutfitter.lua file in your savedvariables folder; change the line gc_shiftx to read: ["gc_shiftx"] = 600 ... This will force the UI to shift.


Note: This addon is in queue to be re-written. The interface will be improved as well as the functionality.





Wykkyd's Outfitter allows you to create GEAR SETS and ACTION BAR SETS from within the Inventory & Skills windows and load them at will. The sets you build in Outfitter can also be macro'd via Wykkyd's Macros and can, thus, be paired together and keybindable, if you so choose.

Swap your action bar abilities with a click!

AS OF OUTFITTER 1.8.24.1 you will have to re-build all armor sets that you've built in the past. None of them will cross over and work properly. This is because I converted the addon over to use Zenimax's new item API for identifying your gear. This changed the ID codes associated with each piece of gear and that results in your old sets no longer being viable. I highly recommend you use the Outfitter popup window inside of the Inventory/Bags game window and re-build your sets before trying to equip them, or you might flood yourself offline.
  • All new item Identifier system = more accurate and faster gear moves
  • Cleaner item handling = fewer issues with duplicate or dual wielded items and shields
  • Faster item moves = slightly greater chance you could move too quickly and cause small item hangs. So try not to swap sets too quickly after each other (I recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 seconds, and I also recommend reloading your user interface occasionally between multiple swaps to keep things running smooth).
  • DO NOT open or close your bags or manually click any gear while an item move is taking place
  • WARNING swapping gear-sets while mounted will dismount you if your swap includes any weapons
  • WARNING swapping skill sets CAN result in a graphical bug with your ability icons. Toggling between weapon 1 & 2 a few times really quick usually resolves this bug (it is a game bug and I cannot directly fix it, sorry).

NEW WITH WYKKYDS MACROS (separate addon) you can now take advantage of a VERY ADVANCED user interface, via the new features of the MACRO WINDOW.
  • Firstly: You can swap both action bars AND a gear set in a SINGLE macro with 1 press. The inactive weapon's skills will load when you swap to it. It will even prompt you in chat to toggle your weapons to finish loading your skills.
  • ADVANCED FEATURE: Macro Key Intercept (ESC > Settings > Wykkyd Settings > Macro Key Intercept)
    • MAKE SURE TO KEYBIND THE MACRO WINDOW (ESC > Controls > Keybindings > Wykkyd's Framework Macro Window)
    • Opening the macro window with this setting enabled WILL INTERCEPT ALL KEYSTROKES
      • This doesn't log what you're typing. That would be silly since it would only be able to write them to your saved variables file, which nobody but you has access to.
      • This DOES interrupt gameplay temporarily, but that is by design.
      • This is SPECIFICALLY so that you can re-map your keys WHEN INSIDE THIS WINDOW to whatever you wish, WITHOUT interrupting your normal game keybinds
    • When the macro window is open, you can HOLD CONTROL to enable key mapping (which lets you set which key triggers which macro)
    • Hovering your mouse cursor over a TAB button, a MACRO button or the CLOSE button while holding CONTROL lets you set that button to be triggered by the keyboard key that you press.
    • EXAMPLE: Setting a keybind inside the macro window
      • Open the macro window
      • Hold CONTROL on your keyboard
      • MOUSEOVER the first macro button
      • Press 1 (while still mousing over, and still holding control)
      • Macro 1 will now be set to the number key 1 whenever the macro window is open, but not at any other time
    • EXAMPLE USAGE: Swapping gear with a macro, using these new keybinds
      • Press HOME (my keybind for opening the macro window, in Controls>Keybinds)
      • Press 1 (my keybind, set inside the macro window, for Macro Button 1)
      • Press ` (my keybind, set inside Controls>Keybinds, for swapping weapons)

Outfit switch glitches

Really appreciate the work you've done with these!

I am having problems with the outfit switcher. It's a little hard to describe in detail, but I'll try. I have two armor sets, all Khajit, all Rank 1 medium armor on both sets, but different crafting set bonuses. Same weapons and jewelry for both sets, dual wield daggers as first set, bow as second. When I run the macro for a gear switch, it automatically defaults to the second weapon set. Further, I can then manually switch it back to first set, but the bow and quiver stay on. I'm technically wielding the daggers, but on screen I'm swinging the bow around like I'm hitting someone with it.

I've also had some problems with it losing track of the color schemes between the gear. They are different colors now, and a few times the gear has switched, but not switched appearance. It also froze up once on the gear switch load, and I had to log out in order to get back my ability to change gear.

So I'm getting inconsistent glitches, but the first one seems to be the main one, and makes the gear switcher pretty hard to use effectively. Not sure how much of this is the recent update, but I'm sure that doesn't make it any easier.

I assume you are using a different language client, and that may be part of the problem. I'll have to investigate and see. I also must warn you that it may be difficult for me to re-create the error without having your exact gear/skills. But I'll try my best.

Really awesome job. Thank you for these add-ons.

If you find time to take on a new challenge, I noticed something I would like to see in the Outfitter add-on. I use one saved hot bar when I turn in quests so that I allocate XP to the specific skills that I want. I've gotten to a point at veteran rank where I want this hot bar to have some buttons EMPTY. Currently, Outfitter does not force the saved empty hot keys to be empty, so that the keys that were saved as empty simply stay the same as they were; they retain whatever skill you currently have in that hot key. I'd like the Blank Saved hot keys to force the key to Blank whenever that hot bar is recalled.

The reason I do this is to concentrate advancement on the skill lines that I need, and not to skill lines that I have max'ed.

Hey guys..

I would like to apologize to those of you who use my addons. I know it feels like I've abandoned my projects. And the truth is, I've absolutely spent FAR less time on them as I'd planned/intended. You all deserve better. My mental picture of where I want these to be deserves better. All in all, I'm just not happy with the way things have turned out.

No, I'm not walking away. I will be returning to the fray and getting these things up to speed and enhancing them. It just may take a few extra weeks for that to happen. I can't say enough how sorry I am for the delays. Again, they weren't planned.

For those curious or interested, here's the 'why':

I work in healthcare. I am Senior Software Developer at a large data firm that helps health insurance companies submit data to the US government for financial aid/reimbursement. I work on one specific product here and that product has expanded in scope far beyond its original design. And I only have one other C# developer to help me. There were pieces and parts to all of this expansion that were unforeseen and I've been working around the clock for the last several months to catch up and overcome this... "burden".

My addon development life has suffered. My gaming has suffered. My time with family has suffered. My poor little four year old feels like he never sees his daddy, and has told me so. My wife tried building shelves last week without me there to help, because I was working, and ended up slicing her left thumb open on a table saw when a board kicked back on her. ... things have just been a mess.

With all of that I haven't been playing to see my addons work or break. I haven't been logging into PTS before patches to see changes before they hit live and adapt. I, in fact, am not even up to speed on when/where/what the next patch is or what patch we're even currently on at this point.

So, thanks to all who have stuck with me despite all of this. I appreciate each and every one of you. I am sorry I haven't been around to answer your questions more actively and to assist you all the way that I did that first month or so. Those that were around back then know the level of service I INTEND to bring to the table, and you know that something has been keeping me from doing it. Well... now you know what that something has been.

All of that said my project should be rounding out over the next few weeks with less and less work required from myself as we push our final product into production. And that should mean a return to addon development in the near future. Hopefully some of you are still around when that happens.

Would you consider adding a "cancel on not applied" feature that would cause the addon to cancel an attempt to swap to gear/abilities instead of queueing it up ad infinitum?

As it is currently, I will frequently hit a situation where the group will be in and out of aggro while I am attempting to swap abilities and since I am in combat it doesn't work. I might try again a couple times, even though I know I can't, because eventually when I AM out of combat, the addon will have queued up every single button press and try to apply them in sequence all at once (you can hear abilities being assigned dozens of times a second).

This results in a DC for spamming.

It would be nice if, when you hit a button in combat (on purpose or by accident) or when you have the wrong bar equipped, the addon would simply do nothing. Leave the message that you need to swap to the other bar, or wait until you are out of combat, but don't try to queue anything to automatically apply it when you do. Just let the player hit the button again.

In my experience the queue system is kind of hit and miss under the best of circumstances anyway. Like if I have a profile assigned to bar 1, then change the abilities and save that same profile name as a bar 2 set, hitting the button seems to apply half the abilities to bar 2 and then when I swap tries to apply half the abilities to bar 1, like it isn't fully cleared or the bar the set should apply to isn't getting reset correctly.

I usually have to just delete the profile and make a new one.

Still, my main issue is that I really wish there was a way to turn off the queue system altogether.

I hope you will consider giving us that option.

My Elemental Ring (Impulse morph) not saving
There is just nothing about this skill in SavedVariables
Tested with Lightning Staff, this skill is called Shock Ring
At the same time Elemental Blockade (or Blockade os Storms) works correctly

Tried to add Impulse in variables manually, but it doesn't helped

I think I made it working
In the file Lib/ABT.lua string 87 must be
["Shock Ring"] = "Elemental Ring",
before it was

Regarding destro staff bug, I posted a fix, that is language independant some times ago, but the post may have been forgotten in the flow.

I am using it since without any issue at all.


Edit: I repost it here

The code fixes 2 things:
-first, the issue with destruction staff, it now works with all languages.
-second, the addon check if a skill is already on the bar at the same place before swapping it, so when you change your skill set, you dont eventualy cancel a buff that would be lost otherwise.

Simply replace the content of the \Addons\mhOutfitter\Lib\ABT.lua by this:

Regarding using destruction staff abilities in your skill sets.

This is something that puzzled me at first. Any destruction staff abilities that change element depending on the type of destruction staff used arent recognized or saved when you have the staff equipped, due to the ability changing depending on staff type.

For example... If I had a flame staff equipped, and tried slotting and saving wall of elements, it wouldnt save it because its the fire version of that ability. But if I equipped a non destruction staff weapon, and slotted wall of elements, I can see the wall of elements ability doesnt show any type of element (wall of fire, wall of ice etc) and just shows as "wall of elements" as it does on the abilities page. If you save that action bar load out while not having a destruction staff equipped, it will now save the wall of elements ability in that load out. Once saved, re-equip your desired destruction staff, and the abilities will now load whenever you load that load out.
Im guessing your problem may be the same due to most destruction staff abilities changing depending on the destruction staff equipped.
I hope this made sense, Ive just woken up lol xP

Lets just hope this addon gets fixed soon, cause I dont know about you guys, but this is my most used addon. I feel crippled now that I cant adapt to situations with the push of a button lol
I'm still narrowing down the name differences in the skills. Impulse should work now. I'll check wall tonight.

This is something that puzzled me at first. Any destruction staff abilities that change element depending on the type of destruction staff used arent recognized or saved when you have the staff equipped, due to the ability changing depending on staff type.

For example... If I had a flame staff equipped, and tried slotting and saving wall of elements, it wouldnt save it because its the fire version of that ability. But if I equipped a non destruction staff weapon, and slotted wall of elements, I can see the wall of elements ability doesnt show any type of element (wall of fire, wall of ice etc) and just shows as "wall of elements" as it does on the abilities page. If you save that action bar load out while not having a destruction staff equipped, it will now save the wall of elements ability in that load out. Once saved, re-equip your desired destruction staff, and the abilities will now load whenever you load that load out.
Im guessing your problem may be the same due to most destruction staff abilities changing depending on the destruction staff equipped.
I hope this made sense, Ive just woken up lol xP

Lets just hope this addon gets fixed soon, cause I dont know about you guys, but this is my most used addon. I feel crippled now that I cant adapt to situations with the push of a button lol

there is a bug with your saved variables that has nothing to do with the mod itself

what kind of staff are you using ? can you try using all 3 elements and se wich work and wich don't ? (i don't have a magetype high enough )
