This addon will add chat bubbled to the top of the screen to make it easier to know when someone is messaging you. You can turn it on or off for various channels and change the font size and color to your liking. If you have any suggestions for improvement or constructive criticism feel free to leave a comment!

It should be doing as long as you don't override the text color. Is it not?

pinstripesc Forum posts: 16 File comments: 156 Uploads: 0	The only improvements I can think of are - - Option to add drop shadows to text, for when you have a light background - Option to allow text to take on the colour of the channel it's pulling from (I think the original video did that), makes it easier to match the bubbles to the paragraphs in chat. - Add a message width slider/option Otherwise 100%

Heh, funny that he saw my video. That all sounds great. Oh, and I had one more idea, couldn't figure this one out, but if you could keep the panel location consistent by character, it might make following easier.

I went with a layout that bumps the top of the screen
1 2 3 4
5 - - 6
Because the panels were so big they'd cover the center of the screen. Or, you could let the user move them, maybe, but that's a lot of code.

Mezzamort Forum posts: 2 File comments: 3 Uploads: 2	Glad to see this. One of my favorite mods. Although I hacked it myself to change the font and panel size and positioning. I use Azurah to clear off the top 4/5's of the screen, so I bumped the panels up to the top. Also, made the panels bigger because RolePlayers tend to talk in paragraphs. If the height of the panel could adjust to the length of the text, that would be great. This is a video of my modified SCB in action. Anyway, my version is a hack by a novice lua coder. I'd love to see it done correctly. Thanks. Mezza

Yep min duration is there already, it's worth noting that max duration will override min. So if you set min to 10 and max to 5, the bubble will display for 5 seconds.
