Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)
  • Tracks information separately between NA and EU

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex
3.67

- Updated for U41

3.66

- Update to address resizeToFitDescendents warnings

3.65

- Update to address regression for subcategory dropdown
- Removed MRL support

Because of those that do not wish to help find the mod causing the conflict I removed the MRL support. I can't troubleshoot it because I'm not using the same mods as those with the issue. It would have been nice to know which mod was causing the issue. I especially can't without a LibDebugLogger file that was created while they had the issue.

The necrom update has some bugs in it anyway that will do things as simple as break resizing windows. The fixes for some of these issues won't be included until the next incremental or update 39. So removing the MRL code will be helpful so that after the release of Necrom when someone realizes something is broken I won't have to hear people complain about it when the user has the issue because of other mods causing the conflict.

3.64

- Fix for Search inventories from Chat
- Jewellery no longer shows up when filtering armor

3.63

- Added tooltip to Deconstruction assistants

3.62

- Fix for moc with Lazy Set Crafter

3.61

- Update to tooltip localization for weapons

3.56, 3.58, 3.59, 3.60

- Update to address possible mismatching of items from any list of items
- Added nil checks for AGS when data rows are temporarily empty or switching between a guild that has listed items for sale and one that doesn't

The tooltip should be correct now for outdated mouse over controls. Added controls include Furniture Catalogue and CraftStore.

3.55

- Update to address possible mismatching of items when you right click on the UI from other mods like Awesome Guild Store

3.54

- Fix for Honestaly's report that the search box no longer works

3.53

- Pre PTS version

3.52

- Fix for IIfA: Search inventories issue that Neverlands reported

3.51

- Update to make the Up and Down arrow buttons for the scroll bar work to scroll the list because previously that was not defined.
- Holding Shift while clicking the Up or Down arrows or while scrolling the mouse will move the list by an increment of 10. Basically a Page Up/Page Down.
- Inventory Insight will no longer display the count for the last item viewed in the main UI for items in the MM window. Meaning if you looked at Acai Berries and had 1000 of them in your craft bag, everything in the MM window had 1000 for the tooltip. This only applied to new views and lists that didn't previously exist.
- You can now right click items to link the MM price from the Inventory Insight window

3.50

- Reworked tooltip font routines for quickc's report
- Updated TLC in xml because of ZOS changes so currency and bag space popup isn't under the Inventory Insight window

I'm getting the same errors, but weirdly enough only on the NA side and only on one of my accounts (both accounts run the same addons, and on both servers).

EDIT: Deleting saved variables apparently fixed it, so whatever it was, it was some kind of error there.

Howdie,

thanks so much for this great add-on.

Sometimes I was wishing the tooltip would as well give me a total in addition to how many items X I have on which bank/char. So I went ahead and added it.

Maybe I am not the only one and somebody else will find this useful :-)

Code:
		if(queryResults) then
			if #queryResults.locations > 0 then
				IIfA:DebugOut(queryResults)
				if itemStyleTexArray.styleName ~= IIfA.EMPTY_STRING then
					IIfA:Tooltip_AddDivider(tooltip)
				end
				local total = 0
				for _, location in pairs(queryResults.locations) do
					local textOut
					if location.name == nil or location.itemsFound == nil then
						textOut = 'Error occurred'
					else
						textOut = zo_strformat("<<1>> x <<2>>", location.name, location.itemsFound)
						total = total + location.itemsFound
					end
  					if location.worn then
						textOut = string.format("%s *", textOut)
					end
					if location.bagLoc == BAG_BACKPACK then -- all of the bagLocs are distilled down to single locations (bag_worn or bag_backpack are all bag_backpack for this table element)
						textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerToon:Colorize(textOut)
					elseif location.bagLoc == BAG_BANK then
						textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerBank:Colorize(textOut)
					elseif location.bagLoc == BAG_GUILDBANK then
						textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerGBank:Colorize(textOut)
					elseif location.bagLoc == BAG_HOUSE_BANK_ONE then
						textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerHouseChest:Colorize(textOut)
					elseif location.bagLoc == 99 then
						textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerHouse:Colorize(textOut)
					elseif location.bagLoc == BAG_VIRTUAL then
						textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerCraftBag:Colorize(textOut)
					end
					tooltip:AddLine(textOut)
				end
				local textOut
				textOut = zo_strformat("Total  x <<1>>", total)
				textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerCraftBag:Colorize(textOut)
				tooltip:AddLine(textOut)
			end
		end
new lines are:

local total = 0
total = total + location.itemsFound
local textOut
textOut = zo_strformat("Total x <<1>>", total)
textOut = IIfA.colorHandlerCraftBag:Colorize(textOut)
tooltip:AddLine(textOut)

No bugs afaik. Great job on that

Any possibility of you getting together with the folks from perfectpixel to hook their aesthetic for this addon? Its a staple in my book! thanks for the work!

Same error messages

So I had deleted Inv Ins, I have just reinstalled after this last patch, and I am still getting the same error messages that I had been getting before. It only seems to happens whenever I open my inventory. As long as I don't do that the game is fine. I have no idea what could be causing it. I'm going to try the process of elimination with the other addons that I'm running. Again if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. Here's the error I'm getting I expanded it with the "more info." Hopefully someone can figure out what my problem is. TIA

Re: Error Messages 03/02/2022

I've logged in recently and have not gotten this error message. I'm not sure all these assets are required for inventory insight. Perhaps it's from another add in you are running?

Two thoughts, I think there is a setting to not track house items and storage containers (Or the addon never tracked them?).

You may need to delete (rename maybe safer) the saved variable file in the saved variable folder to rebuild all of your inventories.

Maybe someone else has better suggestions.

Thanks but I tried renaming the saved variable file method and it didn't change anything.

The house options in the Settings is rather limited in that it seems to only determine if we're tracking furniture in houses, the ability to ignore or unignore specific houses to track for furniture.

Before the most recent event, the addon used to work all the time. I'm not sure if the update during that event messed something up or what happened.

thank you for the hard work on the add-on - pretty much indispensable if you have multiple toons.

I do not know how you have set up the filters so I do not know if it would be hard to do or not, but would it be possible to add one that is all characters except the current one?

Reason for using it would be looking for all of something that is on other toons without having to go to each toon filter.

Can the Character Name order in the Bag Space list be changed?

I have re-ordered my characters in the main ESO load screen and would like the new order to match in Bag Space.

I looked in the .lua for II but did not see anything that looked like it would re-order the Bag Space list.

Thanks!

In case someone else is close of going crazy because in the overview it just shows "IIfA" instead of the full name:

change the textfile "IIfA.txt" (with Notepad++ e.g.) from this:

to this:

And we are back to normal:

Strange issue...when on seige in PVP.

So when I am in cyrodil and use a siege device, the II menu pops up in the middle of the screen and I can't close or move it. No clue why it opens when I go on seige but it's really frustrating.

Anyone else experience this?

I tried hotkeying a keystroke combo in keybinds to close it, but that doesn't work when on seige either...sigh.

Re: Re: UI Issues after 31-Oct-2021 update

Thanks Baertram for the suggestion. I uninstalled it from Minion & re-installed it & fixed the problem.

As before post already said:
It seems that the wrong file was uploded to ESOUI for version 3.47.
Yes, the file is called "InventoryInsight-3.47.zip" but its "IIfA.txt" states version 3.19 and API Versions 100024 and 100025 which are quite old.

The zip archive was fixed meanwhile. Thanks mana
