ravSpeed by rav
===============

This addon shows your current speed in units per second and a percentage of a reference speed you can set in a small, movable window.

======
Update:
======
The normal walking speed should now be normalized to 250ups in every zone. If you encounter strange speeds, please let me know where.

To set a reference speed, run for a while and look at the ups display. Let's say it shows 250 ups while running.
Now you can set this speed as a reference:
/ravspeed 250
You will see 100% as new percentage while running. While sprinting, your speed will increase to 130%.

Commands:

/ravspeed [referenceUPS]

Re: Re: Odd Question re: Steed

Doing some testing myself. They may have partially fixed some things. I have had The Steed for weeks now, I've never switched off of it since finding it. I still run at 105-106% after zoning many times, still need to get some divines pieces to test that part out.

While testing the medium armor roll speed increase and the nightblade refreshing path I have found that after casting refreshing path my run speed is down to 95% of normal. If I enter a house and come back out it is 105% again. Nothing wrong with your addon (which is great by the way, I've been searching for one just off and on for a while) seems like they are doing some wrong calculations. Even if you don't stand or move in the refreshing path AOE it still drops your speed.

Great research, good to know!

Weird... it seems to be a bug, I went into cyrodil and changed my mundus stone to the ritual, it still showed 100%, then changed back to the steed and it jumped to 105-106%.

I wonder if death is clearing the mundus buffs.

EDIT^2:
More testing shows that the speed bonus from the steed is stripped when you leave the zone and doesn't come back until you switch stones to something else and then back to steed.

I'm not sure I understand, what you mean. Do you want to see the speed at the Reticle? There are other addons to change the reticle depending on distance.

The newest version should fix this. No need to recalibrate.

Nice!

Any chance for a short alternative command for re-calibrating, e.g. /ups, please?

Your speed is different in each location, because it is based on the size of the current map.
You will have to set a reference speed for the percentage to be accurate.
Would it be possible to make this work for Range Reticles too?

You would be my true Addon hero for a very long time!

Only problem I see is it needs to be calibrated in every zone.

For instance, I was in Shadowfen, and I was at 1030ups. So I issued /ravspeed 1030 command.
And sure enough it started showing me at 100%, and when I sprinted 130%. Got on my horse, it hit 200%, etc. So far, very nice.

But then I hit up a wayshrine and went to Elden Root, and my normal running ups were at 3410. So my normal run looked like I was at 330%.

I recalibrated it again, ran outside elden root (no zoning, just walked outside) and it was off again.

So it seems like the different phases all have their own ups, which means constant calibration.
Yes, it's quite annoying, however outdoor zones seem to share the same calibration. Towns and instances are all different.
