Re: Thank you, Bronson!

Oh, are you the author now? If so then how hard is it to tweak this to display resource recovery? Thanks.

Different Addon

Can you make an addon like this one but it`s for recovery. Nothing fancy just a little box like this one that displays all three recovery resources, Thanks.

Oh cool - I didn't realize this was an option.

Thank you, Bronson!

Bronson,

I love this addon. I've used it for a very long time now, and its sad to see you go!

I've forked the addon in order to keep it updated and to keep changes rolling.

Farewell for now!

Hi Everyone,

I'm taking a break from ESO (i.e. it's uninstalled) until they sort out some of the massive issues I feel they currently have (lag being the main for me).

Please feel free to keep this add-on alive and thanks for all your help and support over the last couple of years.

Thanks, Ben.

Hey Bronson,

I've just noticed that the backdrop of your addon is too high as in the xml the PowerTrackerWindow's height ist 256 pixel but you only need 30.
This makes the backdrop's size increase as well and overlay other addons sometimes.
And the functions in your code are all globally defined which makes them accessible by other addons.
If another addon uses the same function name you'll overwrite it with yours :-(

Find a fixed version with local functions, speed up access to teh savedvars and fixed xml below, if you are interested.
PowerTracker beta 2.8

Edit:
Oh and the version got your chat message output at the load of the addon disabled as well as I do not like getting my chat flooded. Just remove the comment again if you still need this chat flood

Keep up the great work on this addon please!

Thanks for that. I am going to try and implement something to track damage boosts, with a degree of accuracy, over the next couple of months. It turned out to be more difficult than I expected to make guesses - for example when a DK buffs they get minor and major brutality in one go e.g. +300 dmg, but they drop off separately, e.g. -50 then -250 30 seconds later.

My thinking is that the only way to accurately do this is to calculate the base WD/SP values from weapons and enchants + class and skill modifiers in code. Then this can be used against the current WD/SP to calculate how much extra a player has at any time.

Will have a play anyway and see how it goes!!

Thanks, Ben.

It's disturbing my eyes somehow and the numbers alone are neough for me to see that my weapon dmg is currently at burst level Thanks a lot.

If you need help for the chat commands check my addon FCOItemSaver, file FCOIS_SlashCommands.
At the bottom are the defined chat commands (slash_commands) and a bit above the functionswhich are called + a function to split the parameters of the chat input at a space.
Hi,

It's removed. ESO removed access to the player's base power stat (before external modifiers) so I need to write a block of logic to parse equipment and also apply class modifiers from skill trees to make a more accurate tracker.

I'm going to also add a settings screen for this so people can switch it on and off.

Cheers for the feedback as always.

Ben.

I updated to work with latest ESO patch.

I've also modified the default location of the widget to be further away from the top left corner.
To fix this position manually you can edit the variables file (or delete it and let it recreate) by doing the following:

1. Log out of the game if you are in it (otherwise when you log out the add-on will write over anything you do in the following steps)

2. Go to the ESO saved variables folder. For example on Windows:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables

You will see a file called PowerTracker.lua

If you delete this you will get the defaults when you next log in.
If you want to edit it, load it into a text editor such as Notepad, and then change the OffsetX and Y values. To get these towards the centre of the screen use values such as 640 or 800 for each. Then save your changes

3. Log a character back in to reload the variables into the add-on.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Ben.

Update

Hi all,

Sorry I've been away from playing the game for the last 6 months or so, due to a project at work.
I'll do an update once I've patched the game and tested it out.

Thanks, Ben.
