An in-combat complement to the Quickslot Radial Menu
  • Each Profile contains five custom Presets of up to eight equipped Slots.
  • One Profile for each of your characters.
  • And one for an Account-wide configuration you can access from any of your characters.
  • All Settings are saved after each session and restored at login.
And I totally approve Miss Bizz YouTube video about GQSB .. (a bit outdated but cute enough)


1. LAYOUT OPTIONS
  • You can drag an Unlocked-UI corner to visualize from one up to 8 Quick Bar Slot buttons

There should be no piled up folders such as GreymindQuickSlotBar\GreymindQuickSlotBar

Collectible working again

Well, I've revisited the way I get items and collectibles ID stored into the 8 slots of each profile.
It looks like a manual drag-and-drop brings more to the ring than the item ID I'm working with.

The only thing I could change without disrupting the process - with a chance we could have a favorable side-effect - was to force-clear all slots on profile swap. The right way to do it would avoid clearing those with the same content only to put them back right away. (The cause for glowing on the ring).

Try this test-version and we shall see if it does the trick...

Your Quick Slot Addon is the best one!!! i tried some Quick Slot Addons (the most of them in a big Addon with new HUD and so on) and had a "jumping Skillbar", it jumps everytime, if i changed a slot, a little bit higher of my screen ^^

I've been having a problem with this addon regarding potions with the same name. Unfortunately ZOS in their infinite wisdom did not see fit to distinguish between tri-pots and ordinary restore health potions. I have multiple quickslot loadouts saved in this addon for different things. For example, when I'm doing veteran dungeons and trials, I definitely want my tripot Essence of Health loaded. However, when doing random overworld delves or noding, I just slot trash dropped Essence of Health that only restore health. As I slot these in the same spot b/c of muscle memory, they unfortunately don't swap as I change loadouts. It instead continues to retain whichever one was already loaded, which results in my wasting tripots, not using tripots when I need them, or stopping and opening my inventory to change the slots manually, which kinda defeats the purpose of having the loadout saved at all.

I have not tested yet with Potions of Immovability, but I imagine it would have the same problem.

Is there a way the addon can reference unique item ids for potions? When I used Static's Quickslot Profiles before, it didn't have a problem distinguishing. However, I cannot keybind specific quickslots on the wheel (a seriously invaluable feature), which is why I'd really rather keep this one if possible.

Just tested it and no joy. The colliding potions are specifically the dropped (not crafted) Essence of Health and the crafted Essence of Health tripot with the longest Major Fortitude duration. Screenshots of the offenders below.

Cool addon, just a few minor issues/requests:
- I find the alert sound annoying while playing, so adding an option to have no alert sound would be nice.
- Turning off the auto-skip empty option doesn't seem work (always selects next non-empty slot)
- I think a visibility mode where the slots are hidden until the active slot is changed would be nice. Once triggered, they would stay visible for a short (configurable) period. This would be kind of like the behavior of the ESO slot system (except you wouldn't have to press the quick slot button)

Just some thoughts!

Good point! I've Added a new "NO SOUND" entry at the end of the list.
(start holds default values I prefer not to mess with for the moment)

It seems to work as expected for me?...
If you bind a keyboard shortcut to select a slot, those wont be overruled by the automation.
But, selecting next or previous slot will indeed skip empty ones if something can be selected (optionally wraps once).
It's up to you to choose between shift[+/-] or select[1-8].

- I think a visibility mode where the slots are hidden until the active slot is changed would be nice. Once triggered, they would stay visible for a short (configurable) period. This would be kind of like the behavior of the ESO slot system (except you wouldn't have to press the quick slot button)
Here is something derived from "In combat only" policy as a starting point:

Cool - thanks for the changes! I'll check them out. (I hacked my local copy to fix the sounds temporarily). The skip empty option definitely works for direct select, it just seemed odd that next/prev ignored this option. That said, I think auto-skip empty makes sense. (I tend to select an empty slot when I'm just fooling around so I don't accidentally use a pot.)

I give it a meh for the problem I'm seeing.

I've found that I have to skip around in the selections (mostly potions) before my preferred health potion will actually "trigger" and I can use it. Kind of defeats the purpose, especially while in battle.

G'day. I've just grabbed this to solve one of the persistent annoying problems which is ... while I like radial menus, they are not a good way for me to use multiple consumables, etc, quickly.

Just to confirm my understanding: the keybindings only select which quick action item will be used, they do not and cannot actually cause it to be used, right? Still have to hit the standard keybind.

Anyway, I have observed two ... annoyances, I guess, from my perspective. One bug, one maybe bug, maybe wishlist:

Bug: blank settings window

I'm able to wind up with a blank settings window by doing the following:
  1. Open settings with ESC > Settings > Addons
  2. Select "G Quick Slot Bar", which works normally (ie: settings visible)
  3. Exit settings by hitting ESC
  4. Reenter settings by hitting ESC > Settings > Addons

At this point the settings for the addon are selected, but the content is not drawn. See https://imgur.com/a/jgaxs9X for a screenshot.

Selecting any other addon, and then back, will work. I'm not sure if you use libActionMenu or not, but I do have Harven's adapter to put non-LAM settings into the LAM menu.

Wishlist

The "Show Policy" settings don't have any option that works nicely for me. I'd very much like to follow visibility of the action bar, but none of the settings quite match.

Reticle is the closest, but hides the bar when typing in chat, but the action bar stays visible.

Always keeps the bar visible in the system menu.

I'd really like it to be able to be tied to the action bar, but failing that, something like "reticle or cursor mode", or hiding it in the system menu when "always" shown, would be great.

Preferred reporting location

Oh, and if you prefer github issues, LMK, I'll drop them there instead.

Ok, I'll look for some kind of action bar event to sync with.

I'm aware of the addon-menu issue and chose to live with it a while ago.
My usage of this lib requires a two-ways communication in order to dismiss overlapping Min-Max sliders.
I asked for this feature but the author did not even care to reply.
The only way I could do that was by re-initialising the whole page, with some side effect...
