SRENDARR Description:




Srendarr adds the ability to track your buffs and debuffs you cast on others, both the long-duration abilities that appear under the Character window as well as the short-term buffs that normally only show via graphical effects on your character. The aura tracking is designed to visually mesh with the standard UI theme but includes many options to change the appearance, and even more options to categorize and filter the auras that may appear including multiple display windows, groupings for auras of a similar nature and a blacklist for unwanted aura display.

As of version 2.0.0 (and above), S'rendarr uses the API changes made in late 2015 to allow for 'perfect' knowledge about aura details. All auras on the player and their target are now displayed and accurate, as is the castbar for the few abilities in game that have a cast time. The downside to this change is the occasional display of 'junk' auras you may not care about. These can be added to the included blacklist or, if you believe the aura should never be displayed, please report its name and when it appeared and it can be included in a 'never show' list built into the mod itself.

NEW GROUP BUFF TRACKING FEATURE!

New in 2.3.5 is the option to show buffs with a duration for everyone in your group or raid on their unit frames. You can either whitelist specific auras to track, or show all buffs with a duration that you don't specifically block. Full customization and positioning options, with built-in support for vanilla, Foundry Tactical Combat, and JoGroup frames.

- Solved error seen since last updates. NOTE: This will disable the ability to see fake debuffs from Srendarr which the game doesn't normally track (like Trap Beast bleed when target is stun immune) if you move your mouse off the target and back again. If you keep the target under your reticle these will still be tracked however. This is due to API limitations. The game gives no unique reference ID for targets in the game. Without getting overly technical, suffice it to say it is a trade-off and ATM it is more important to ensure people can play without errors than limited cases like the above working reliably. I may develop a more permanent workaround in the future.

UPDATE: Re-uploaded without version change. Debug mode now has spam control. Will only show ability once until /reloadui or until you type /sdbclear to reset the debug database.

I second this.

More whitelists please, ESPECIALLY for debuffs, for which we currently only have one. I need at the very least one more debuff whitelist, so I can have one for critical group debuffs, and one for my own.

I don't like using the blacklist for several reasons, not only is it a global one including effects on yourself, but it's also more hassle to track down each and every effect you're not interested in seeing, than whitelisting a few key ones.

Firstly thank you so much for developing and maintaining this excellent addon - it is definitely the best of its kind available.

I noticed that with the most recent updates that Molten Armaments is now only showing its Major Sorcery effect (ID 32173) and no longer shows its +40% Heavy Attack Damage effect (ID 76549). Perhaps these have been intentionally consolidated, but can I request that we be able to track both without having to add the latter to a Prominent Whitelist?

Also, would it be possible to get more Prominent White/Blacklists? Two is great, but one or two more (or even one for each Display Window) would be so helpful for people setting-up slightly more complex configurations.

I couldn't say, I have only observed it with that setting as I only ever play with max fade duration. I don't know if this affects things, and I can't test it on my own as it only seems to occur in high intensity combat with a lot of effects going on.

In addition to the case when auras are sometimes stacking on top of each other, they also often have like empty spacers the size of an aura in between them. Also demonstrated in the video I will edit in, and more apparent.

I have "Your Ground Targets" and "Target's Debuffs" (with "Only Player Debuffs" turned ON in the filters, and certain debuffs blacklisted) in that specific display window, perhaps it's an interaction with the above.

Also the reason I have to use blacklisting with Target's Debuffs display group is because I'm using the new "Debuff Whitelist" for specific group applied effects like Minor Magickasteal and Minor Vulnerability that I need to know are there regardless of who cast them.

Therefore it would be highly preferable to have two such debuff whitelists, so one could have one for specific group applied effects, and another for one's own effects without blacklisting effects that then also get removed from your own debuffs that you ought to know about to cleanse.




Looking at the footage, it looks like the issue lies with the two display groups conflicting with each other while being mingled, especially when the target is switched and the target's debuffs are being swapped in and out. Looks to me like "Reflective Light" and "Structured Entropy" dots/debuffs on the target are being removed when the target changes, but the rest of the auras don't adjust. Then the target changes back, and they pop back in, this time stacking with the ground target auras meaning the aura sorting is not being readjusted to accommodate target changes. (under certain conditions at least, as I can't replicate this on my own at a target skeleton.)

Unfortunately it's happening for all auras in the "Your Ground Targets" display group, as demonstrated in the video in my original comment. It's however not of major concern, since you typically won't be activating the cursor mode in ESO's combat, just thought it's worth reporting anyway, as those auras should still be there when returning from mouseover mode.

There have been a lot of changes in LUI lately and I am not surprised Srendarr support is affected. I will have to dig through their code again and see what changes they made to frame referencing, and see if it is possible to correct this. It should be. Hello!

Just wanted to start out with saying thanks for continuing to develop this addon, I absolutely love Srendarr. It's the best aura tracking addon around and has been for years, may it be so for many more!

Now on to the current issues:
  • Auras overlapping
    Great job on fixing the debuff disappearance, however there are weird cases where auras will overlap with each other now. I don't have any footage of this one unfortunately (I do now, uploading soon), but it appears as two bars on top of each other, especially where one bar is fading out.

    NOTE: I have my fade out duration set to max, would prefer a longer maximum as well to call attention to decaying auras.

  • Incorrect RAID auras with LUI Extended UnitFrames, not tested with vanilla or other raid frames.
    See the image below, clearly the auras are displayed on the wrong units here. I'm not sure if it affects group auras, but Raid auras are definitely affected. As a templar healer, I could not possible have my Minor Berserk granted by Grim Focus, as I am a Templar, also the buff food timer is not mine, as you can see if you refer to my long buff tracker.

    There are also cases where group members leave and join causing group frames to be updated, but the raid buff tracker doesn't keep up with the changes, a common theme I noticed with other unit frame addons which is why I switched over to LUI in the first place as it's more aggressive with group change updates.

    NOTE: This means I can't tell who is missing their buff food or whose buff food is running out, this hasn't been the case in groups of 4 so I believe that functionality is working.

    EDIT: I noticed that these raid frames seem to be sorted alphabetically in LUI, not sure if that's standard behavior.

  • Altered Aura icons not being used anymore?
    See the image below, for some reason altered aura icons don't work anymore? I have the mundus set to a custom one, and the vampire should be getting altered by default Srendarr.

  • Raid/Group Aura offset and growth direction.
    See image below. There is no way to change the side to which group/raid auras grow, you can change the order, but not the direction. I personally run my group/raid frames on the right-hand side, and would much prefer having quicker access to group auras on the left-hand side of the frames. Similarly the offset range of -128 to 128 highly limited the size these custom unit frames can be set to, forcing to have tiny frames with overlapping text fields in my case.

  • Auras disappearing on Toggle In-Game Cursor
    When pressing "Toggle In-Game Cursor" keybind, in my case "", Srendarr auras disappear as demonstrated in the video below. Not a big deal, but figured it's worth reporting anyhow.

Try uninstalling completely and re-downloading. Sometimes Minion gets confused. But I just tested again and the latest version definitely is not generating these errors.

If you still get an error after doing that, please paste the specific text (or post a screenshot) so I can see what line of the code is causing your issue.

Yep, thanks for the report. Left a nil check out of the EVENT_ACTION_SLOT_ABILITY_USED section. I corrected the error and the fixed version is now live.
Still getting the same error on this newest update. It's endless really. I even deleted all things related to srendarr and redownloaded and did zero customizing and it still results in MANY MANY of these errors popping up (basically every cast of ritual lulz)

Please re-download the new 2.3.8a. 2.3.8 had a small typo that was causing enchants and other special procs to not function properly (doh!).

Over the course of the past two months I've tried basically every (de)buff tracking mod out there as well as ZOS's implementation on PTS.

Hands down, Srendarr is the best. Please continue supporting!
