Tamriel Trade Centre  Updated this week!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.4.6429.38725
by: cyxui [More]
The addon for http://tamrieltradecentre.com/

TTC needs localization help! Current plans is to translate for all official languages (German, French and Japanese). If you are willing to help with the translation please go to google sheet (https://goo.gl/q6xBPq) and fill in the German/French/Japanese Translation Columns as much as you could. Do remember to make a copy in case of conflicts or trolls.. cough cough...

By downloading this addon you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Like TTC? Want to help make it even better? Please consider joining our guild to help improve the frequency and quantity of regular pricing updates with periodic guild store scan!

Contact coordinator
NA: @Docta_McNasty
EU: @Ek1 for more info or a guild invite.

P.S. The NA guild is solely for organizing guild store scan, not a trade guild while the EU guild is.

Global trade search tool needs YOUR help.

By running our addon and client. Your guild listings as well as any item you seen by using guild store search function will be automatically upload to the site for other people to search and browse. The collected data will also be used to generate price info for everyone~

If you want to contribute more to the community or if you wish to help boosting up your guild's sale by uploading an entire guild's listings, you are more than welcome to do so!

A button is added to the guild store interface to allow you to scan the entire guild's listing for upload

Here are some screen shoots of the site, addon and client

Install Instruction 

1. Download and unzip the files under ESO addon folder (default is Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns) Or you can install it with Minion
2. When you are playing ESO, run the client executable (client.exe) under Client folder
3. Enjoy the game

For first time of use 

For the first time only, you need to go to bank NPC -> click on Guild Store. A dialog box should pop up asking you to wait while the addon scan existing guild listings. When finished, the "Auto scan completed" dialog will show up
.

Q:How does this addon work?
The addon collects all the item listings that you seen in the guild store and uploads them to the site. The site then uses all the data collected by all players to generate price info for everyone.
You can also use the website to search for the location of an item using way better filter than the default Guild store GUI. But it is not guarantee the item is still there since low price items tends to get sold fast. You will have to use your own judgment based on the last seen column to predict whether its still available.

Q:How is the suggested price calculated?
1. Remove outliers
2. AVG(price of the lowest 30% items) * 0.8

Q:Whats the difference between MM's price and TTC's price?
TTC uses the listing price and the MM uses sold price. By statistic and Economic, those two numbers should align given enough sample set

Q: How fresh is the pricing data?
Very fresh! Naw im kidding, its based on Data from yesterday

Q: How big is TTC
It uses around 6mb of RAM for pricing info and around 20mb at most for entries you have seen.

and on that note, cyxui, have you any news as to how/if/when you might change how TTC utilizes the collected data similar to Havestmap, as asked by another player here?

I didn't even know windows had symlinks until I read your post and googled it!

From what I just read, I would also suggest that you make sure your link(s) are "hard" links (junctions), not "soft" links.

Yep, I used a junction link.

I figured it out. I had to symlink my entire "live" folder rather than just the AddOns folder - this way, the saved variables etc resides in the same relative directory as AddOns. Client.exe works fine like this now.

ESO doesn't allow you to change the directory of your addons - it's always C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns

Well, I wanted my addons to reside in the same folder as my ESO installation, so I created a junction symlink, pointing from the AddOns folder on the C drive to an addons folder on a different drive (Y drive).

My addons work fine like this. However, if I try to launch the Client.exe (which resides in the TTC folder on my Y drive), it gives me this error. http://i.imgur.com/XNi1ENL.png

I've tried a few things, such as creating a ttc.exe symlink to the Client.exe, both ways (going from the Client folder to the C drive and vice versa), and still, same error.

Is there a way I can get the Client.exe to properly recognize the symlink back to itself?
I have never used symlink and don't know how it handles relative path. But here are the paths TTC is using.

../
../../../SavedVariables
../../../UserSettings.txt

so if you can make those 3 relative paths point to the right folder then theoretically you should be able to get TTC to work.

the default current folder is ./ which is Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\Client

../ means the folder above which is Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre

Let me know how it turns out.

A new algorithm has been applied. It should resolve all potential problems similar to this

No executable needed and after the data is merged, the player gets a fresh copy of the latest data. Also, probably less breaking from updates and anti-virus related problems.

I just wanted to put it out there for your consideration. Thank you for this addon, even if I personally won't use it right now, it helps a lot of others.
Interesting idea. Mac users might be able to use TTC this way when its done. It will take some time to make. Can't say when its gonna be ready but it will likely be available in the future.

can you record down your current time + time zone and then execute this in game

/script d(GetTimeStamp())

then post the result here plz?

thanks
Sure 10:07 PM Pacific standard time Script Result: 1500354397

And the only way I've found to update ingame prices is to delete saved variables then relaunch ESO
The number looks right. Did you start the client after the game or before the game? If you started it after the game then a reloadUI would be required.
Before that's whats odd, everything is working as it should except for the ingame prices
Ingame prices stopped updating again today, I had to reinstall TTC again to get the updated prices. What is the difference between successfully updated item price and you have the latest pricing table in the TTC client window? every time the in game price stops updating the client says you have the latest pricing table even if the prices in game say updated x number of days ago. reinstalling TTC isn't a big deal but I'd like to know what is causing in game prices to suddenly stop updating while everything else works
I can't think of anything that might cause this to happen.

successfully updated item price means new item price data has been downloaded. you have the latest pricing table means the one you have on your PC is the same as the one on server (latest)

Can you help me to collect some data when it happens again so that I can further investigate this?

1. record down the time (including timezone)
2. in game /script d(GetTimeStamp())
3. a copy of \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\PriceTable.lua
4. open up \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\UserSettings.txt and try to see if two lines similar to
SET LastPlatform "Live"
SET LastRealm "NA Megaserver"
exists, and what are the values (or you can just send me the file if you are comfortable. The only personal information in that file is your account name. The rest are your in game settings such as Graphic settings and Control settings)
5. in your browser go to
https://us.tamrieltradecentre.com/ap...eClientVersion
and
https://eu.tamrieltradecentre.com/ap...eClientVersion
(FF, Chrome, Edge will just show you the value, IE will prompt you to download a file. You can open the file with Notepad)
and let me know the values.

I know that's lots of steps.
Appreciate your help on this particular issue.
just re emailed the requested info for some reason it didn't go through earlier to [email protected]

It's puzzling that a Windows data sync app would even be noticed by the nVidia recording engine.

If there's any more information or assistance I can provide, please let me know. I'm a developer by trade, so I know how much of a pain troubleshooting can be. Thank you for your efforts!

For some reason I did not receive the email you sent. But here are the answers to your questions:

Are you using Direct3D rendering for the TTC client's UI?
Not that im aware of.

does the TTC client "layer itself on top of" the ESO game process?
Nope. TTC doesn't even recognize ESO's game process nor does it recognize if its UI's position. All it does is reading specified lua and text files and upload the data to server

My guess is that recording software might have a hard time detecting if something is on full screen mode. That's the case for windows built in game recording tool. I had to turn on full screen recording for it to work. My guess is that the recording tool will first see if there is any window exists, if yes then use that window as target, if not then use full screen. You can try to minimize TTC's window (it will go into your bottom right tray) and see if it helps.

And about the exception, my guess is that the auto updater (\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\Client\Updater\AutoUpdate.exe) got removed by your anti virus.
