SkyShards

Adds map pins for skyshards to the world map.



In-game configuration is in the SETTINGS -> Addon Settings -> SkyShards menu,
or use command /skyshards

How to manually install addon:
  1. Go to the "Elder Scrolls Online" folder in your Documents
    Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\<version>\
    (replace <version> with the client you're using - "live" or "liveeu")
  2. You should find an AddOns folder, if you don't, create one.
  3. Extract the addon from downloaded zip file to the AddOns folder
  4. Log into the game, and in the character creation screen, you'll find the Addons menu. Enable your addons from there.

This addon uses the following libraries:

- Skyshards are not shown anymore in submaps when your immersive mode is active and you didn't unlocked the linked objective

v6.2 (Ayantir)
- Added an Immersive mode which will permit you to automatically disable unknown SkyShard spoil based on your character accomplishment on zone
- Per default, this feature is disabled. The difficulty is sorted by the entries order, "Zone Quests" is the hardest success to achieve.

- "Zone Main Quest" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of Zone Quest Storyline.
- "Wayshrines" will show unknown SkyShards after discovering of all Wayshrines of the zone.
- "Exploration" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of all delves and interesting locations of the zone.
- "Zone Quests" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of a certain amount of quests done in zone.

Please note :
- Because there is no Main Quest in Cyrodiil, Cyro Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Because Wayshrines cannot be all unlocked in Cyrodiil, Cyro Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Because there is no wayshrines in Imperial City, Imperial City Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Craglorn Main Quest and Zone Quest share same conditions.

Okay... Let me see if I am able to help you...

To update your Skyshard Addon you will only need to do one of the two following things:

1.)
  • Copy one of the whole .lua Code and insert it into the "SkyShardsData.lua" File...
  • Then save it as a lua-File by using for example the "Editor" under Win 10 (File --> Save as --> File Type: *All files* ---> enter under Filename: "SkyShardsData.lua" .... IMPORTANT ARE THOSE " " left and right of the file Name!!! --> Save --> Copy the File into the Skyshard folder in your Addon ESO folder ---> override if asked)

2.)
  • Open the SkyShardsData.lua file with the Editor under Win 10 and look for the line 62 ([1844] = true, --Clockwork City Skyshard Hunter)...
  • At the end after "Hunter" klick with your Cursor so that you'll see the | , then press ENTER to get into the next line (line 63)...
  • Copy the following Code into that line:
    Warning: Spoiler
  • Now scroll down to line 1465 and press ENTER two times...
  • Copy and Paste the following Code now:
    Warning: Spoiler
  • See that there is an empty line after the last } from the Code above... (It should be line 1525 I think...)
  • Now go to *File* --> *Save as* ...
  • Choose File Type: "All Files" and File Name: "SkyShardsData.lua" (don't Forget the " " at the beginning and the end !)...
  • Press *Save*...
  • Copy the SkyShardsData.lua File into the Addon Skyshard Folder and if asked to overwrite --> press yes...

After you have updated the .lua File following one ot the two options I mentioned above you will only need to change the API Version in the "SkyShards" text-document from:

## APIVersion: 100021 100022

to:

## APIVersion: 100022 100023


I hope that will help ...

I have seen where you guys have posted .lua files, but I am having trouble just having the add-on to even load up with the updated file. Is there a step I have overlooked through these posts by chance? Thanks in advance.

Regarding your problem with *Karnwasten*...

First thing:

Why do you have two coordinates for the entrance in Summerset..? There is only one for this Public Dungeons ... Or did I miss something..? Try to delete the line with " { 0.422, 0.138, 1845, 11, 3 }, " and leave the other one as it is...

Second thing:

I've also made a personal update for Skyshards and there it shows the Pin in Karnwasten... My Code is the same as your Code, except the line for the second entrance and that I've written ["sum_karnwasten"] = ... instead of ["Sum_Karnwasten"] = ... ... Maybe try using small letters..?


Question:

Why are your coordinates missing the fourth Digit..? Any reason for that..?

You can use as many digits as you want, it just gets more or less precise. But I don't think I could spot the difference between 4 or 5 or 6 digit precision ^^

There is also a 2nd entrance that is not on the map on that location.
And lowercase did fix my issue, thanks.

Regarding your problem with *Karnwasten*...

First thing:

Why do you have two coordinates for the entrance in Summerset..? There is only one for this Public Dungeons ... Or did I miss something..? Try to delete the line with " { 0.422, 0.138, 1845, 11, 3 }, " and leave the other one as it is...

Second thing:

I've also made a personal update for Skyshards and there it shows the Pin in Karnwasten... My Code is the same as your Code, except the line for the second entrance and that I've written ["sum_karnwasten"] = ... instead of ["Sum_Karnwasten"] = ... ... Maybe try using small letters..?


Question:

Why are your coordinates missing the fourth Digit..? Any reason for that..?

You can use as many digits as you want, it just gets more or less precise. But I don't think I could spot the difference between 4 or 5 or 6 digit precision ^^

Actually there are 18 Skyshards (6 Skillpoints) in Summerset and Sub-Zones like Artaeum ...

Thanks for this addon

I want to take the time to say thank you for making this there are 16 new slyshards in summerset so I imagine its not a quick update. the amount of time and sanity this addon has saved me is immeasurable
