noticed the same yesterday. compass (only compass, not map) shows books i already collected edit: opening up the options und turning off/on "show compass books" and "show unknown books" seems to have fixed this for me, but only till the next zone port/relog

Item filtering for armor should perform better, but I doubt it's 100% accurate. If you want 100% accurate filtering, spam Zenimax and ask them for API calls for ArmorType and WeaponType.
