This looks right. No trailing pins, just a large visible distance. To improve the performance, not every pin is handled individually. Instead they are grouped together by splitting the Tamriel map into 200x200 sections. The size of Bleackrock is 4x4 of these sections. All pins in nearby sections (purple) are displayed on the map....

Thanks, that information helped a lot. I use votan's minimap and the bug only appeared when NOT using that minimap. It is fixed in version 3.5.3. Where does one find the HarvestmapDLC.lua? I have all the others in my folder. Just not that one. I'm having the same problem.. I don't have this .lua anywhere. I know it's a silly question but have you updated the addon? This new file was introduced with 3.5.1x.
