I was able to test with a few guild members today and this problem appears to be fixed in v1.8 (just uploaded), hope it works for you as well.
I had the chance to test v1.9 today and the problem is gone for me aswell. Thanks again! :)

Any news on the planned feature for an option to show character names instead of account names like X4D Chat does?. Thats the only feature i really miss here in pChat for now.
