SelectionCampaign variables behavior

Hi there!
Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like variables like GetNumSelectionCampaigns() or GetSelectionCampaignPopulationData(,) are only populated after the alliance war menu has been opened once.

Is there a workaround for this?
