Updating Quest Information

Most of the quest information has been added or updated by mass adding quests from the SavedVariables file. However, I am no longer accepting information that way unless it is for a new chapter. If you have a specific quest pin you would like updated provide the information at LibQuestData:Github/22.

Description
Adds pins for completed and uncompleted quests to the map. (Including not yet started quests!)

NOTE: Map pins are never added to the Tamriel map. Not by QuestMap or HarvestMap.

Major change: Quest Map no longer has internal quest information and instead uses LibQuestData.

Please do not submit `QuestMapScout` files as the information is not formatted for what Quest Map uses. If you want to contribute then upload your LibQuestData to the GitHub link above under "Special Request".

Requirements

To be able to use this add-on you'll need to install these libraries too:
LibMapData - LibMapData

LibQuestData

LibMapPins

LibGPS - LibGPS
NOTE LibGPS Requires: LibMapPing, LibDebugLogger, LibChatMessage so be sure to download them as well. As always read the authors description page for more information.

These add-ons are optional:
LibAddonMenu - For changing Quest Map settings

LibMsgWin - For '/qmlist' command feature (see below)

Features

Uses new functions introduced in API update 6 to automatically get a list of completed quests, that means you can start using this add-on at any time/level and it will "know" which quests you have completed before.
Tooltip shows the quest name and additional info (Cadwell's Almanac quest, skill point reward)
Manually (un)hide ((un)mark as completed) quest pins by clicking on it
Map pin filters for completed, uncompleted, started and manually hidden quests (you can find them to the right of the map after clicking on the funnel icon)
Subfilters to only display Cadwell's Almanac quests and/or quests that reward skill points
Different map pin filter settings for PvP and PvE possible (e.g. quests not displayed in Cyrodiil but still in other zones)
Changable pin size and pin level
Languages supported: English / German / French / Russian / Polish

Commands (enter in chat input)

Open settings menu

/questmap
Manually (un)hide all quest of the currently displayed map (zone/subzone/dungeon/etc.):

/qm hide

/qm unhide
Display list of quests for the current map:

/qmlist *arg*

*arg* can be 'completed', 'uncompleted', 'hidden', 'started', 'cadwell', 'skill' or empty (for last used argument)

/qmgetpos
(Not for reporting quests) Display your current location

Notes, Please read!

Make sure you install the add-on before starting up ESO, else the pin icon files may not be loaded.
There are quests that are missable. Yes I know that sucks, but the missable quests are only (I hope) quests that introduce you to a new region (e.g. quest "To Firsthold"), that's why it's possible to have some few unfinished quests with no related quest giver in each zone.

If you want to help improve this add-on, LibQuestData automatically tracks updates for itself.

Yes, see screenshot 3: if you only have "uncompleted" and "skill point" checked then the map will only show uncompleted quests that give a skill point as reward (like in screenshot 10). You can also find more detailed info in the FAQ.

I'll see if I can get hold of a gamepad from someone. As far as I can tell (I can't move the cursor), only the filters are missing (or is there a filter menu by pressing the left control stick or something?) and the tooltips as you said. Is there anything else that doesn't work in gamepad mode?

Edit: Confirmed. The pin up north is another quest giver for the same quest. The quest giver directly at the ruins (Jurak-dar) was added to the game later and is missing in my add-on. I'll add it in some minutes.

Sometimes there can be multiple markers for the same quest close by. Cleaning those up is on my to-do list

Some places are worse and some are "cleaner", if you have multiple markers everywhere then there might be something wrong though.

Are you sure you already did the quest? There are missable mini-quests and other quests will only be available when a perquisite quest was completed (more info in the FAQ).

CaptainBlagbird Forum posts: 53 File comments: 177 Uploads: 23	Yes, when I have enough data from Quest Map Scout I'll see if it even is necessary, because then the markers of the followup quests can be hidden and also there shouldn't be markers for the same quest close to each other anymore. If still necessary then it shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Ratkoon Forum posts: 0 File comments: 3 Uploads: 0	Can I suggest an option like HarvestMap where if the quest markers are close to one another (like within a meter) it shows a single quest marker? More then not I have 5 or 6 quest markers in one location where I only grab a single quest from. This would clean up the map significantly.
