For a long time now I've been puzzled as to why there aren't more addons like this available...
Sure there's the big ones like FTC, but they are a whole "package" of several addons in one so to speak. But what if for each of those modules you already have another addon you prefer? Still use the big one only for groupframes?
Another point was that none of the groupframes addons I could find displayed @UserIDs, only Characternames. Which is what started me looking at lua code and eventually deciding to just make an addon myself.

I hope you will find this addon useful. I still have a lot planned for this addon, so work will continue with adding new features (and squashing bugs )

Features
  • Indicators for "Being ressed", "Res pending", "Reincarnating"
  • Indicators for Shield, Stealth, Foodbuff, War Horn
  • Choose different colours for roles
  • Correct display of roles assigned by dungeon finder
  • Option to sort the units by role
  • Tooltips
  • Right-click menus
  • Regen arrows
  • Displays names according to system settings
  • Choose how many units per column you wish displayed and growth direction
  • Chat notifications
  • Optional: LibGroupSocket support, if you have either LGS or GroupResources installed you can see the magicka and stamina values of other groupmembers with LGS installed

Slash Commands
  • /jogroup unlock unlocks the frames to reposition them
  • /jogroup lock locks them again
  • /rl reloads the ui
  • /rc perform a ready check
  • /gl leave your group
  • /gd disband your group

To do
  • More customisation options
  • Compact Mode needs works

This looks immensely useful! I have one question though, and perhaps I'm simply blind, but is there a preview function? I'd prefer to adjust everything in peace, if at all possible.

Not at all! It's actually really helpful ^^

I agree and I already looked into that, but I haven't found anything to tell me a player is mounted I'm afraid.

It used to do that, but I broke it when adding custom sorting, sorry about that XD, I'm working on getting it back tho ^^

I really like this addon, because I main a healer and as a support character it's really useful to see, who has food up, is there a warhorn up and stuff like that. I really like @CTgreen suggestions. It could be more compact, with the name on the health bar, but still retain the health amount (not shortened, underneath the name, doesnt need to be big) and the percentage, but it would make showing the warhorn a bit harder... Or split up the raid frame and group frame to two different things maybe, because using the same window for raid and group is really hard, because I have to move it around a bit every time I go to a trial.

Anyways, good luck with this and I'll most certainly keep enjoying this addon (even more once I get my guild mates to use the GroupResources addon so I can be more effective in dungeons).

Here's my 2 cents on the layout.

I really like the ability to show @names in addition to character names. EDIT: There is a good reason to keep both. I do not think it is a good idea to drop character name to save space. Many people use character name in group chat since that's the only one you can see with the built-in UI, and without character names you have no idea who they are talking about. This can take up a lot of space though. Thus it's probably best to allocate an entire row to just the name, or in other words leave this row as it is now.

The row with the CP level, food, stealth, etc icons seems to have a lot of extra space in the middle that goes to waste. My suggestion is to perhaps move the status icons (food, stealth) down into the HP bar somehow, maybe on the right end. The level and class info is not critical in my opinion and can be left out because it's not something that needs to be updated in real time, and can always be seen in the existing group menu.

For what it's worth, I use the 12 rows by 2 column layout, so I prefer each unit to be wide and not very tall, as this lets me see long player and character names better.

Great add-on, so much better than the games' default group frames.

I agree with retired_adventurer. I really like the ability to show @names ++....
But as it seems to not be the same for all, what about the possibiity to choose in option ? to show or not and which *name* -account or character-.

Nice! Glad that it helped

Btw, if you reduce the glossiness of the HP bars the Shield fragment will still be glossy.

Edit: Not huge but when my friend was in loading screen the values on the bar got a little weird

Numbers

Hi, love the addon so far, works great. One small request thou, can we have an option to have the numbers on the health bars be full numbers and with thousand separators? For example right now my HP says its 25k/25k I would love it if I could have the option to have it say 24,847/24,847 like it is in its entirety. But again love the addon, swapped to it from Lui's group frames and much more satisfied with this.

Is there an account wide setting? I adjusted quite a few things on top of placement.

great addon, i'd like to request two things:

1. to make the height of the healthbars scaleable
2. it would be great to just have the bar color changed instead of those arrows showing a hot or lifereg

Thank you! For now I have added the full health values to the mouseover tooltips, is this enough or do you really want to be able to see it constantly?

You're very welcome

Everything is account wide, right now I have no intention of adding a toggle for per-character settings.

Height is something I can look at sure, but changing the colour I'm not so sure about, since that would mean you can no longer see what role someone has... Unless there would have to be three different extra colours for each role... But then are they based of the default colours or taking into account the user chosen colours for each role... etc... :P
