@Baertram

Here's how I am testing it:
Lock an item, check if it's locked: true. Extract locked: true. I expect this result.
Mark for decon (without locking), check if it's locked: true. Extract locked: false. I expect this result.

However, you said

IsLocked() will always return true when any FCOIS filter is applied (including "mark for decon"), so your explanation on that confuses me.

If you only use
Code:
FCOIS.IsResearchLocked(bagId,slotIndex)
all armor/weapon parts that are marked, but not marked with the "research" marker icon will be deconstructed and not protected
This will protect items that you wish to safe for research but deconstruct your gear and set parts!!!

As written before you should use
Code:
FCOIS.IsDeconstructionLocked(baf, slot)
instead.

The users should mark their items accordingly for deconstruction and if they want them to be deconstructable with the deconstruct marker icon set, they need to enable it in the FCOIS "Anti-destroy" -> "Deconstruction" settings!

CS doesn't handle decon:
lua Code:
  1. --If it's a glyph, use the extraction check
  2. if isGlyph then
  3.     locked = FCOIS.IsEnchantingExtractionLocked(bagId,slotIndex)
  4. else
  5. --If it's not a glyph, it must be a research attempt
  6.     locked = FCOIS.IsResearchLocked(bagId,slotIndex)
  7. end

That is how I was originally checking for it, but I had multiple complaints of decon flagged items not working due to it.

@babylon If a glyph has no filters whatsoever applied to it, it's assumed you don't care about it. If you do care about a particular glyph, then you need to enable the decon filter. If you have an item filtered (such as out of trade) but decon is still set to OFF, then it will still show up in the window:

No IS set = shows in extract
Trade filter on = shows in extract
Decon filter on = does not show in extract

Hey there,

just my information for FCOItemSaver (FCOIS) marked items:

The research check is the wrong check if you want to check if an item/glyph is allowed to be deconstructed/extracted!

If you mark an item with any of the marker icons the addon FCOIS will protect this marked item against selling/deconstruction/trading/destroying etc.
This way you can filter the marked items at the appropriate panel with "only show" or "hide", like only shown (yellow filter button) the items marked for deconstruction at the deconstruction crafting station.
This would still protect the item against deconstruction until you turn the anti-deconstruction check off by e.g. right clicking the "flag icon" at the top left edge of the deconstruction panel (red flag = anti-checks are OFF, green flag= anti-checks are ON).

If you want the marked items to be e.g. deconstrcuted even though the marker icon is set you are able to enable exclusions int he settings like "Allow deconstruction of items marked for deconstruction" or "allow selling of items that are marked for sell".

Depending on the settings the user chooses the API functions will return true or false for the items marked for deconstruction/glyph extraction.
The anti-research check is ONLY for items that are researchable and not available for glyphs!

So checking with the API functions
Code:
FCOIS.IsDeconstructionLocked(bag, slot)
FCOIS.IsEnchantingExtractionLocked(bag, slot)
should be the correct way to check if an item is marked for deconstruction AND if deconstruction is ALLOWED (same for glyphs with extraction).
If the user allows to deconstruct/extract the items/glyphs (by chosing so in the settings) the functions should return false, and if the items are blocked it returns true.

If you simply want to check if the item is locked at all (independent to the marker icon and the active panel, e.g. deconstruction OR glyph extraction) you should simply use the API function:

Code:
FCOIS.IsLocked(bagId, slotIndex)
If the item can be deconstructed or extracted the function should return false, if the item is protected it should return true.

I am not sure if this can be fixed. The CraftStore Quest is partially over laid by CraftStore Cook. It needs to be lowered a little bit.
Thanks for maintain this great addon.

Are you able to work with that anyway?

*Btw without CraftStore Rune on, only glyphs I marked as "decon" with Item Saver will show in the Rune Extraction window.

**Just checked and my "decon" items have the deconstruction filter OFF as they should be (OFF means the items are allowed to be seen on the deconstruction tab).

Sorry for the headaches my request to get things working with Item Saver caused, it will be nice though

If I mark my glyphs with Item Saver (not FCO Item Saver) as "decon" (for items to be deconstructed) they don't show up in the Rune Extract window.

Expected behaviour would be for Item Saver "locked" items to not show up in the Rune Extract window as it currently is, but also for the marked "decon" items to show in the Rune Extract window, which it isn't doing currently.
