Why should I use this instead of CraftStore?
You probably shouldn't - this AddOn has a different purpose. I wrote FurnitureCatalogue to help me with furnishing my homes - I wanted to know what's out there and how I can get it.

Writing this AddOn was a lot of work. Almost all the included data files are generated by hand. I have literally spent hours just standing in front of furniture merchants, checking item conditions and putting things into files. (If you want a better impression, check data/Homestead/AchievementVendors.lua - I have visited every single one of those myself.)
By careful estimate I've spent 30+ hours on FurC since Morrowind hit PTS - the initial release ate a week of vacation turned to pretty much nonstop coding.
I've taken over updating since manavortex no longer playes ESO, so if you want to give back, feel free to donate to @berylbones, both on NA and EU!

Possible issues

My crafter's knowledge isn't correct!
Just click the refresh button. If you want the AddOn to scan on every load, there is a setting "inable initial scan" - check if it's deactivated.

This only shows Pact PVP furniture, and I'm $other_faction!
This is a feature. Adding complexity adds bugs and loading times - and that's needlessly complex, since the prices and item sources are the same.

Something else is broken!
  1. Disable Shissu's Guild Tools - Shissu altered some ESO functions, it's nothing I can fix
  2. Reset the furniture catalogue database by middle-clicking the refresh button or wiping it from the menu
  3. Wipe the saved variables - you can do that from the AddOn menu via "Reset to default".
  4. Do a clean install of the AddOn to make sure no outdated files are left
  5. Get in touch with manavortex with a description of the bug:
    • Where exactly does it occur? (FurnitureCatalogue window, when right-clicking an item link...)
    • What is affected? (item links, posting to chat, exporting...)
    • What do I have to do when I want to reproduce this bug?

The long version about the preview
I have talked to Chip Hilseberg (may his code never bug) about this, and he was quite clear - ZOS doesn't want us to preview items from the item links because of datamining etc. A function to preview items that we can craft may come eventually, but that will only help you while logged in on your crafter.

Why can't you make it work like FurniturePreview?
There is an API function that lets you preview something that is in a bag (a vendor is a bag too) or a guild store. In theory I could add preview functions from Furniture Catalogue for items that are in your inventory, but that would require yet another loop and have a negative impact on performance. (Again.) Just use FurniturePreview for those, please.

Wishlist/ToDo:
Add icons to recipes in bank/inventory/guildbank when a recipe is known/unknown

Add MasterMerchant integration to FurnitureCatalogue tooltip overlay
[ WON'T DO] - use FurnitureShoppingList or post to chat for regular tooltip

I have "Add items to known/unknown recipes" checked. It shows marks in my inventory and bank but not in guild banks.

You can get me an item link by linking the item to chat, then pressing ctrl+a and ctrl+c (thus copying the content of your chat box), and pasting the clipboard's content in here.

The result will look like this:

the fat part is the item's ID.

Exclamation Furnishing Item Not Seen In Game

One of my characters found the following furnishing item, but I am not sure as to where or how. It probably came from looting a Chest, perhaps at Master or Advanced difficulty level:

The item name is "Common Campfire, Outdoor" which apparently was found by datamining. Now it has been found in the game. The Tamriel Trade Centre addition to the tooltip discloses "23 listings" for it in Guild Stores. There is probably a furnishing "recipe" for it somewhere.

Please explain what you mean by "link" to an item and/or its ID, because I don't know how to obtain either piece of data for a furnishing item. .....

Does Not Show Check Marks in GB

Furniture Catalogue used to show marks, known or unknown, on recipes in the guild bank.

But it doesn't do that anymore. Could you restore that functionality? Thanks.

Oh, I know how time-consuming it is to develop software, since I used to do it for a living before I was promoted to management, then retired. For a while, I maintained an add-on for World of Warcraft. I suspect that the ESO API has a steep learning curve. Lua is not my favorite programming language. I've been considering creating a simple add-on, but hesitate because, as soon as I go there, I fear that I won't have enough time to play the game, too.

Thanks for the update. I check ESOUI for updates every day before I play the game. It seems that with regard to Homesteads and furnishings, we are still in "early days". But after Update 17, whether TESO will continue to be offered as a MMORPG for much longer remains to be seen.

A way to minimize that particular effort is to keep your AddOns up-to-date. And I mean really up-to-date, not like last month's up-to-date. Some of us update frequently, and always for reasons.

The current version is 2.2.4(a). All errors you reported are fixed (I couldn't reproduce any of them), and I added a few additional calls to the dropdown-hiding-function just for you.

In fact, it is now worse -- each "explanatory" pane covers its respective dropdown menu entry entirely. After Update 17, some of the most significant add-ons upon which I have come to depend have various and sundry errors, some severe. It has been quite time-consuming to document and report them. Currently there are so many errors in the Furniture Catalog output that it has become almost useless, compared to its previous utility. It has been a sad disappointment to see that happening. Consider this one, for example:

Maybe I should uninstall F.C. and delete its /SavedVariables files, too. Then start fresh with version 2.1.5. But I doubt that it will make a difference. If you want more screenshots to illustrate my remarks, then please feel free to ask.
Update: as far as I've been able to determine, the obviously erroneous output by Furniture Catalog have not been evident since I deleted the entire installation and re-installed version 2.1.5. Of course, the add-on drop down menu for selecting the data to be displayed continues to be obfuscated by totally unnecessary "explanatory" text.

There are also tooltip and listing errors for new Legendary furnishing "recipes" introduced with Morrowind, Clockwork City, and/or Update 17 which are available for purchase from Rolis Hlaalu. I haven't noticed any tooltip errors for the Legendary "recipes" offered by the adult female (whose name I cannot recall ATM) standing next to Rolis Hlaalu, however.

I don't know who taught you how to do social interaction, but your post is an excellent example of how to NOT do it.
