Why should I use this instead of CraftStore?
You probably shouldn't - this AddOn has a different purpose. I wrote FurnitureCatalogue to help me with furnishing my homes - I wanted to know what's out there and how I can get it.

Writing this AddOn was a lot of work. Almost all the included data files are generated by hand. I have literally spent hours just standing in front of furniture merchants, checking item conditions and putting things into files. (If you want a better impression, check data/Homestead/AchievementVendors.lua - I have visited every single one of those myself.)
By careful estimate I've spent 30+ hours on FurC since Morrowind hit PTS - the initial release ate a week of vacation turned to pretty much nonstop coding.
I've taken over updating since manavortex no longer playes ESO, so if you want to give back, feel free to donate to @berylbones, both on NA and EU!

Possible issues

My crafter's knowledge isn't correct!
Just click the refresh button. If you want the AddOn to scan on every load, there is a setting "inable initial scan" - check if it's deactivated.

This only shows Pact PVP furniture, and I'm $other_faction!
This is a feature. Adding complexity adds bugs and loading times - and that's needlessly complex, since the prices and item sources are the same.

Something else is broken!
  1. Disable Shissu's Guild Tools - Shissu altered some ESO functions, it's nothing I can fix
  2. Reset the furniture catalogue database by middle-clicking the refresh button or wiping it from the menu
  3. Wipe the saved variables - you can do that from the AddOn menu via "Reset to default".
  4. Do a clean install of the AddOn to make sure no outdated files are left
  5. Get in touch with manavortex with a description of the bug:
    • Where exactly does it occur? (FurnitureCatalogue window, when right-clicking an item link...)
    • What is affected? (item links, posting to chat, exporting...)
    • What do I have to do when I want to reproduce this bug?

The long version about the preview
I have talked to Chip Hilseberg (may his code never bug) about this, and he was quite clear - ZOS doesn't want us to preview items from the item links because of datamining etc. A function to preview items that we can craft may come eventually, but that will only help you while logged in on your crafter.

Why can't you make it work like FurniturePreview?
There is an API function that lets you preview something that is in a bag (a vendor is a bag too) or a guild store. In theory I could add preview functions from Furniture Catalogue for items that are in your inventory, but that would require yet another loop and have a negative impact on performance. (Again.) Just use FurniturePreview for those, please.

Wishlist/ToDo:
Add icons to recipes in bank/inventory/guildbank when a recipe is known/unknown

Add MasterMerchant integration to FurnitureCatalogue tooltip overlay

Master Merchant, Cookery Wiz, and CraftStore panels all close upon hitting Esc. MM closes and opens up main menu; CW and CS just close the panel which I think is better behavior.

I'm not sure what happened there. If I check my FurCData.lua, line 596 doesn't show an attempt to table access. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the AddOn - you don't need to wipe the saved variables, those are pretty ephemeral anyway.

You're completely right. I've been neglecting the export function a lot. Sorry for that. Will be in the next patch, I should be able to get around to it within the next days.

3: Linking the item: Simple, just double-click. I can add that function to the "Furniture"-part of the context menu link, if you want.
Linking the recipe: Is a bit more complicated. Lengthy explanation follows:

Right now, I'm wiping and re-building the saved variables quite often (hence the "beta" tag). Items get into the AddOn from one of four sources:
1) A list of all recipes in the game that I datamined
2) the files in the "data"-folder, scanned by item link
3) the current character's crafting knowledge - the third block in the function "FurC.Scan" does that.
4) The player encounters any furnishing item or recipe for a furnishing item that's not in the database - in this case, an entry is created on-the-fly.
The database entries resulting from 1) obviously have a recipe saved, those from 2) obviously don't, since they cannot be crafted. For 4) it depends whether or not the item link that caused the entry to be created was a recipe or an item.
For 3), there is currently no way to get the recipe from the crafting knowledge. It was requested and will most likely show up in the API soon, but it's not in yet.

I will add a menu option to make "link recipe" link the recipe item link if it exists, would that work?

I think that:

1. opening the window should auto-switch you to cursor mode,

2. pressing Esc should close the window, and

3. there should be a way to post a link to chat not just to the item but to the original recipe itself that was learned.

I still have the export problem, since it exports uncraftable items too (like stuff you can buy at achievments vendors), it seems the FurC.IsUnknown function doesnt filter uncraftable ones, so the temporary fix would be to add:

HELP! Unable to link materials since today's update

Hello,

I am not able to link materials to chat or link materials from an item posted in chat, it is broken as of today's update, 4/8.

Please fix, this is my favorite part of the addon Highly useful as a crafter to just link what people need instead of typing all the stuff out.

3 blue recipe already learned by the same characters, do not appear as learned on tooltip, but are correct in the known by character. Tooltip says : you cannot craft this yet, though i can craft it.

This after today update.

No idea if this is related, though never had the problem before

Today's update broke known by reporting

After the update today it no longer correctly reports who a furniture recipe is known by.
I have tried every setting combo possible and nothing changes it.
I have even pulled up FUR to verify it does in fact see that my character knows the recipe and it does show it on his list. However, when viewing a recipe it still shows on the bottom as unknown even while at the same time in the title showing it is known. So atm when on a different character absolutely no way to know if your other characters know it other than memory

sorry for being a lazy fetcher and not replying so long, I might have caught a severe Mass Effect: Andromeda...
Only Unknown is accountwide. I figured that it'd make little sense to track individual characters like that, because Furniture Crafting is bad enough already without splitting it up over several chars...
