Cleaner HUD  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 12
by: Amerlite [More]
There are a few things about the HUD that I find ugly, or too intrusive. This addon tweaks the visuals of several HUD elements.

The following elements are visually altered.
  • Compass
  • Reticle + Interact Text
  • Target Health Bar
  • Boss Health Bar
  • Action Skill Bar
  • Quest Tracker
  • Player Attribute Bars
  • Latency and FPS Meters
  • HUD Notifications
In addition,
  • The chat notification icon no longer pops up blinking.
  • Chat text fades out after a shorter period of inactivity.
  • Attribute bars no longer change size, but still preform a sound and glow animation to indicate a change.

Note: This has not been tested with the controller UI.

I'll look into adding gamepad UI support. Unfortunately, it's quite a bit more effort to modify both keyboard and gamepad versions.

I like this addon very much. Itīs looking better than the default one. But it scales the target frame for me. It makes it smaller than normal. ANd the HP numbers are overlapping the frame. How to disable this pls?

Nice idea, though it should be noted that it seems to have minor conflicts with LUI Extended (and AUI be association) because it can modify the default target frame as well, and and any addon that can bump the Compass down (like The Elder Bar).

Firstly thank you for making this, this is the best aesthetics UI mod I've found, far less distracting than the default yet still functional.

The following line in TargetUnitFrame.xml has compatibility issues with Azurah and Wykkid's toolbar:

<Anchor point="TOP" relativeTo="GuiRoot" offsetY="65" />

It will cause the target frame to move to unexpected positions on the screen randomly, or when specific events happen like joining a group. Commenting the line out seems to fix the problem.

Will this be updated after the 24th of Feb?

As many of us know, after the 24th there will be a major update that will require us all to redownload the entire game. This update is expected to change some fundamental bits of code that many addons depend on.
Wonderful (and I would dare to say essential) addons like this one very well might not work anymore. They worked off of code that was previously never changed by ZOS since there was never a need to, but now that everything is being changed they will be broken.
Do you plan on updating this wonderful addon after the mega update comes on the 24th this month? For me this is one of those core mods I honestly cannot imagine playing ESO without.

I just tested the addon with the new patch, seems to be working fine

It looks great, I just wish it had some options to tweak it. :/

So chat fade is really annoying. Anyway to change that?

Edit: Nevermind. I just commented out the -- Chat Text block in the overrides.lua

This addon looks great but I agree with the person below, the chat fade is not that nice. People can use other addons to make the chat fade if they need that.

I removed this part from overrides.lua:
Code:
do
  local Original = SharedChatContainer.SetInteractivity
  function SharedChatContainer:SetInteractivity (tabIndex, ...)
    Original(self, tabIndex, ...)
    self.windows[tabIndex].buffer:SetLineFade(3, 3) -- Duration, Fade Out Time
  end
end

Please someone help me out! Is there anything I can do to the code to get rid of the abbreviated health, magicka, and stamina numbers? Either to give them full values or remove them completely? Thank youuuuu if you could help!

Resource numbers can be turned off in the normal game settings: Settings > Combat > Resource Numbers.
That's how the game displays large numbers. I'm not aware of an addon that expands abbreviated numbers.

@Zeromaz

There are several addons out there which can alter (maybe also abbreviate) the view of the health/stamina/magicka and other bars afaik:
Azurah, AUI, and others

You should disable all other addons FIRST to chckif the vanilla UI settings are able to fix your problem or if it's gone. If it's gone: Enable the addons one after another again and find out which addon caused this.

This update doesn't play nicely with PerfectPixel (specifically the inventory menu) so I have reverted to the previous version. A settings menu where you could toggle the various things this addon changes would be really awesome.

The changes to inventory view makes this mod incompatible with AdvancedFilters. When CleanerHUD is enabled, the filter panel can't be displayed and causes AF to spit out an error.
