Install Instructions:

1. Download and unzip the files into your ESO addon folder (default is Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns) Or you can install it with Minion
2. When playing ESO, run the Server Link ( PC: NirnAuctionHouse.exe Mac: NirnAuctionHouse.app ) if it's not already running
3. Sell More Items by reaching more people

Q: What's the function of the Server link (NirnAuctionHouse.exe)?

This program allows the addon to communicate with the Nirn Auction House servers, Allowing you to post auctions and bid on auctions that others have posted.

Without the Server link (NirnAuctionHouse.exe) no one would know which items are in the Nirn Auction House as this data is provided by the server. Somehow you need to know what others listed. That info is provided by the addon in-game, as each user using it will send the data to your SavedVariables and then this file(contents of it) will be sent to the server (just like TamrielTradeCenter does as well with its client.exe).
Afterward, you are able to know what is being sold etc.

Without the Server link (NirnAuctionHouse.exe) you would have no new listings available, no new items, no other player's listings etc.

Statements from ESO Devs about Trusting COD sales.

CoD (Cash on Delivery) is an option in The Elder Scrolls Online's mail system. By using this, you can send an item and ensure that you will receive gold in exchange via mail. You must attach an item to the mail, and you can set a gold amount desired. The receiving player will then have to pay the specified gold amount to be able to detach the sent item.

When CoD is selected, the only gold that should be removed from your bank is the applied postage, which is calculated based on the attachments and the size of the selected CoD. Once the recipient chooses to accept the mail, you will receive the CoD amount. If the recipient refuses, you will receive the mail back along with the attachment, but you will not be able to reclaim the postage amount.

Since as was pointed out by another poster, the COD is sometimes more than the guild's dirty cut, and the guilds cut doesn't all go out of the game, on net this addon actually is more deflationary than the guild system.

That said, so what about inflation? IRL inflation represents stolen, ie counterfeited currency. In the game it represents actually more gold coming into the economy. Slow inflation isn't a problem per se, in fact so long as governments and their central banks limit their theft, we deal with slow inflation all the time IRL. When they go crazy they can cause collapse, like Venezuela or Zimbabwe.

Anyway if you're worried about inflation then you should use this addon over the guild system since the entire transaction fee leaves the economy. And since deflation is preferred to inflation generally, that's another good reason to use the mod.

But the main reason is so we can enjoy the game without the hassle and spam of being in a trade guild.
Oh look more flawed stuff about economics. Inflation is NOT stolen/conterfeited currency, and unless there is a real, huge problem with it (which there isn't in most countries) conterfeits won't affect the economy a lot.

Inflation can be due to multiple different things. But it's definitely not often due to stolen or counterfeit currency, nor does inflation represent that.

In a game, slow inflation can be a problem. First of all, slow inflation over time can result in a huge jump from how it was in the first place. If there is a lot of inflation, that is a problem, even if it happens over time.

Saying that the guild's cut does not go out as a gold sink belies a complete misunderstanding of how trade guilds work. In fact, for the most part, much more than the guild's cut goes into the gold sink of a trade guild's bid. Most trade guilds need to supplement the bid with something else - Auctions and Raffles are the most common sources. And auctions and raffles by far outstrip the sales tax in the amount of gold they raise for the guild. In a trade guild, the entire transaction PLUS more leaves the economy. Some trade guilds have a large bank of gold, but it's been saved over a long period of time, and it's not because they're getting a tiny tax from stuff sold on a trader.

So no, by using this addon, and the COD fees, you are contributing to inflation. Or at least, contributing less to deflation than you would if you were in a trade guild. (As a side note, if you're worried about spam you can simply turn off the trade guild chat channel and never see it again)

that guild masters would get a cut is totally bull****. i dont need to like everyone, but i know from eu eldenroot, over wayrest, mournhold, rawl and belkarth nearly all guildmasters. i know not a single one feeding on the taxes/donations in the guild. most of them would even give their own gold into the guild, to secure the spot. u dont have any ideas about the financials of a trade guild but blantering bull**** and rumours, which just aren't true. the goldsink of a trade guild is 8% overall, some gold stays in the guildbank when the gm bids smart, still its out of the game with the most guilds (since they are interested into having a huge bank, which scares off other guilds to bid on their spot). the cod system only brings a goldsink of 5% (>6% under 1k price). so pls.

In a game, slow inflation can be a problem. First of all, slow inflation over time can result in a huge jump from how it was in the first place. If there is a lot of inflation, that is a problem, even if it happens over time.
Inflation is a motivation problem mainly, people who aimed also on farming dont get what they deserve, other people are sitting on ****ton on gold and dont know what to do with it and are overly bored by that fact. When i started in early 2014, i had to fight hard, to get my first horse and it was an achievement, when i got it. A lot of stuff is meanwhile way to cheap and too easy to get, since there is too much gold. While people get bored and stuff gets to easy achieved, the rush-through-game process is so fast, that people, also new people, get bored way faster from the game, which also can end into more people jumping off from the game, because there is no challenge anymore. gold in the game plays its part to this. I know a couple of people which were already millionaires before they even were lvl 50, i remember myself having trouble to get my first 20k together, when i got my first 100k i was like hell yeah back then.

talking about having to keep that some percentages of goldsink, because u (not u dolgubon ) get more out of it is quite hillarious, looking at the fact, that people are rich as they never were in eso - only that having that gold isnt worth anything anymore. u sit on it, but cant do anything with it.

If you wanted to slow inflation this slows it more. It takes more out directly (guild cut doesn't, only the bit they bid) and it also prevents people from vendoring things, which itself puts gold into the economy.
Except that's wrong. One, much more than the guild cut goes into a guild's bid. Say a high end guild sells 80 million. They get 3.5% guild tax, or 2.8 million. They're not spending 2.8 million on a trader bid though. They're spending upwards of 10 million gold on their bid. Probably around 15 million. And you might not believe it, but those ratios are the same for most other trade guilds in worse spots. So no. The guilds dirty cut all goes into a gold sink, plus more.

Also, if a guild saves up gold.... that's essentially taking out money from the economy too, as they aren't spending it.

Finally, as to your last point, yes this prevents people from vendoring things, but so too does a trade guild.

well that bid amounts are usually only na and consoles. pc eu still is quite at least ...close to economically and reasonable. but still here its a bigger goldsink than cod.

Hi all,

There is a lot of off topic chat and its making it hard for the AddOn author to keep up and see comments that are directly about his AddOn. Could the economy discussion be moved to our Forum here? http://www.esoui.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=166

Thanks for your understanding.

@Verbalinkontinenz it wasn't that long ago people that ran stuff like this on their computers would be ignored and banned from games.

We have come a long way where people like this can and is encouraged to run programs like this on their own systems.

Then we have ZoS not only allowing botters to play the game and cheat, but they ban them then allows them back a few weeks later. Now they just ignore them no matter how much proof we give them. Oh and ban the people complaining from their forums. Oh and God forbid if you name them, that's a ban!

Yes, it is an amazing day when what we called cheating in the past to be fine and acceptable today!

Tried it: first, I always get the red message, I am forced to manually start the .exe.

In the global list there are only 10 items for bid/buyout. Didn't see any option to see more.

I put 3 items on sale, it worked and they showed in my personal list. But if I try to cancel, the "Cancel" buttons won't work at all, items are still for sale.

Top right buttons are not movable and in the same place than quest tracker.

Running Windows 10 Home 64-Bit and french client.

Note that the correct translation for "Name" is "Nom", not "Prénom".

When I did a cancel, I had to cancel an auction and sync a few times for the cancellation to be recognized, but I think it was probably just a time thing and I didn't really need to do it more than once.

The same thing when you do a new listing, it seems to take minute.

Be aware there seems to be an issue with posting a bunch at once. I did maybe 20 and it crashed. I stick to 6 or so for now and then I sync, then do 6 more. When I have time I'll experiment to see what the exact number is that is too many.

I see many more items listed on NA. It may take time for EU to pick up.

Hi there, I'm enthused about the Add-On possibilities, and have some feedback from my first few days of using this.

1) "My Listings" don't seem to show up when selected from the Drop Down menu. It's not showing what items we put up for sale.

2) As a quality of life request, it'd be nice if items we put up for auction could be marked with an icon, so we can recognize them from within our inventory. Since the bidding can take a week, it's very easy to miss what we put up, and accidentally bank, move, or sell the item in question.

3) Ever since the most recent update this morning, I've been getting LUA errors. I've pasted screenshots of what I see come up. Hope this helps for debugging purposes?

Enough. I am getting tired of having to come in here and clean up the mess that certain people keep making. Cut it out. Follow the site rules or leave, easy as that. Consider this your final warning.

Please don't be discouraged by those who don't want a global auction house.
This add-on is safe to use and I would love to hear any feedback about your experience using it.

I have had some trouble with it, but I am all in for a global auction house, I would love to be more independent!

So after some debugging with ELO I have managed to get most of the UI working smoothly again after his updates.

I do however still have some quality of life questions/suggestions:

1) My Listings still are not showing up when putting items up for auction. I've been reading some people can see them after waiting several moments post-syncing, but I still don't seem to be seeing anything come up?
2) I read that the recent update was supposed to add an icon tagging auctioned items in your inventory, but I don't see anything on my items that I've set up for auction.

Just curious if I am the only one who's having issues or if anyone else has too? Can someone who has gotten these to work, post a screenshot of what their UI shows for items successfully put for auction?

I didn't see how to upload a pic so I set my avatar and profile pic to the icon. It's in the media subdirectory of the addon as well.

It does work. You may want to try completely deleting the folder and reinstalling.

I do have to sync a few times to see my own listings, but they do show up.

There seems to be an issue where if you list an item that is stackable, then get another (like a motif) and stack them together there's a crash when you look at inventory. I'm trying to track this down.
