Urich's Skill Point Finder  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 7.2.0
by: fritzOSU03, Onigar, tim99, yachoor
Description
Have you ever been in a situation where you need more skill points but you have no idea where to get them? Well today is your lucky day! Urich's Skill Point Finder provides a graphical interface showing all of the skill points you have (and haven't) earned throughout the entire game. You can show or hide the window by binding a hotkey or by entering the slash command. Slash command information is below.

Please Note
From Version 5.1.0 you need to separately install: LibTableFunctions-1.0 and LibAddonMenu-2.0

Localization
Localization for Russian, German, French, and Japanese is included. I speak only English so I am very sorry if a translation is incorrect. My only available source was Google Translate. Please message me if you see a translation that can be improved or shortened where space is an issue. Also feel free to provide a complete translation for another language if you would like to see it added to a future update.

Slash Commands
  • /uspf - Show or hide the USPF window.
  • /uspf help - Display help information in the chat window.
Known Issues/Complications
  1. The Folium Discognitum is a scroll that awards two skill points on use. Because the Folium is a scroll and not a book, it is not possible to determine if if you have earned those points besides comparing the number of earned skill points with the number of expected skill points + 2. There is an override in the settings menu if this information is not correct for your character.
  2. There are skill points awarded upon completion of tutorial quests for Morrowind and following chapters characters. If you skip the quest you'll get the skill point but the addon will not be able to determine that. There are override options in the settings menu for these skill points if this information is not correct for your character.

Thanks for the post. As far as I can tell, it does appear to be functioning properly. Alik'r skill point quests use achievements to verify completion. Here's the achievement info you can paste into the chat box to verify that all of them are complete. Let me know what turns up.

A Reckoning with Uwafa (QId: 2192)
Lua Code:
  1. /script d("A Reckoning with Uwafa: "..(IsAchievementComplete(516) and "Complete" or "Not Complete"))

Alasan's Plot (QId: 2222)
Lua Code:
  1. /script d("Alasan's Plot: "..(IsAchievementComplete(517) and "Complete" or "Not Complete"))

Amputating the Hand (QId: 2997)
Lua Code:
  1. /script d("Amputating the Hand: "..(IsAchievementComplete(518) and "Complete" or "Not Complete"))

Re: Dungeon stutter

Thanks for the info. If you'd like to try something, go to line 1583 in USPF.lua and change it from this.
Lua Code:
  1. EM:RegisterForEvent(USPF.AddonName, EVENT_ACHIEVEMENT_UPDATED, USPF_AchUpdate)

To this.
Lua Code:
  1. --EM:RegisterForEvent(USPF.AddonName, EVENT_ACHIEVEMENT_UPDATED, USPF_AchUpdate)

Update coming soon.

Have uninstalled and wiped saved variables, reinstalled and still the stutter remains with ONLY this addon activated. Sorry but I cannot even begin to figure out why this addon would cause this. Have tried 2 public dungeons and both were the same.

Hope you can fix it. I can activate it and use it and then deactivate it but that is a really sad way to use are really great addon.

Thanks for all your hard work.

Re: vet dungeons

This is not something that connects directly to skill points so it's not easily done with my add-on. However, Dungeon Tracker seems like it might do the job for you. It uses the vet dungeon conqueror achievements to track vet dungeon completion. It's outdated but is basically what you're after.

Re: General Points Area Total

Yes they do, but 130 is an impossible total to achieve. This is because any given character can be a Morrowind character, a Summerset character, or neither (older than both). It is impossible to be both a Morrowind character AND a Summerset character so the total is corrected to the maximum best-case obtainable points for any given character which is 129.

I'm not sure who you messaged, but next time try to message ZOS_ChipHilseberg, you're much more likely to get a response from him, though I don't know if he'd be able to tell you that info.
The fact that the main quest was under NDA may have also factored into it.

Re: Bug on Achievement gain

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. Those two calls are made when an achievement is updated or completed but being in a station may have an impact on that for some reason.

As for ZOS' changes from the PTS to the live version, I'm sure this is the case, but I never mentioned the fact that I had actually messaged the staff privately about the information when they reset our progress at the end of the first week and couldn't get a response. I think I got it when creating a ring. There didn't seem to be any achievement gained, but I might not have noticed it. I had a toon that I was not currently on selected.
I also got this when I did earn an achievement:

Similar bug when I completed a quest:user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:452: attempt to index a nil value
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:452: in function 'USPF_ResetSelectedCharacter'
user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:1517: in function 'USPF_QuestRemoved'

All seem to be on the same line.

I went through the full Summerset storyline on my main (over CP cap) when the PTS went live and received a total of six skill points (3,1,1,1) at different times in the quest so I know beyond all doubt that the points I received had nothing to do with leveling.
Not like they can list every change in a large patch like this, and it isn't possible to know every single addon either, and see if changes affect them. Going from the last PTS version to live, they don't list bugfixes (of the PTS content), which is understandable because they weren't bugs on live.
Edit: For your edit.
