Little add-on (420kb). It adds additional pins on your ingame map.
CustomCompassPins addon can be additionaly installed to show markers on compass.

If you want to help to add survey/treasure maps then:
1. Right click on map in your inventory>link in chat, copy this string.
2. Find location, type /loc, copy this string.
3. Post collected data in comment tab.
4. Do not post chests locations or other scrap you found.

Check Add-on path. It must be "AddOns\MapPins". Not "AddOns\MapPins\MapPins", not "AddOns\MapPins 204957", etc.

They are lineal, all bosses are in the way. There is no need to add this pins.
>How do I add my translation to the addon?

This add-on do not use any map librares, it works directly with ingame map, so it is fast as possible.
This add-on have no menu. To enable/disable pins use map filters (see screenshot).
Default size for pins is 20. Use slash command: /pinsize 16-40 to change it.

I don't have any error suppression active exactly to be able to see if anything happens, and there are no errors when it happens and prior to. When testing, I just ported to a delve to someone and that's it. I will test more, but I am reasonably certain it happens without any errors caused by any addon at all, that the errant map icons belong to the zone I port from via BMU, that they stay up after I change zones afterwards, though I am not sure if they ever come up after porting to an overland zone. I am sure I mostly saw them after porting to a dungeon/delve.

Fairly often, I tested this with Bandits UI and Map Pins and it only seems to bug out with them two, but I'm unsure if Bandits UI modifies Pins in this way?

I was not able to pin it down to any specific add-ons, but it even happens on my minimal config setup (I have 5 completely different ESO configs across 3 different PC configs), and the only other add-on in all configs dealing with maps at all is Beam Me Up.

Edit: Some testing seems to point more to Beam Me Up as the possible culprit, as the markers that stay there belong to the zone I ported from, but I will also need to test if it happens if I port via e.g., guild/friends list, not BMU, to tell for sure.

After port to a delve from Skyrim:

I remembered that happening to me as well and I asked votan about it as he is experienced with maps:
"This can happen if the cleanup is interrupted from any error message."
And yeah, for me it was an addon/lib hrowing a lua error.

Hello Hoft,

please stop including hardcoded calls to libraries which provide their own txt files!
CustomCompasPins needs to be either included with it's own CustomCompassPins.txt file so the versioning will work properly OR you need to exclude it and use ## OptionalDependsOn or ## DependsOn: CustomCompassPins (like you already do).

Please remove this line from your addon's MapPins.txt file and if you include the CustomCompassPins.lua file include the CustomCompassPins.txt file with your addon properly:

You are breaking other addons if you call libraries directly (hardcoded) to their lua files, where there are txt files given for that libs!

If there is any reason why you do that (because you manipulate the lua file of the included lib locally or whatever then stop this please and talk to the other devs of the libs so they adopt their lib to be compatible with your addon, or find another way please).

Thank you for your understanding and following "the rules" so that all addons can co-exist properly without throwing errors.

Data is collecting for adding to the source base.
Not placing cause the main goal it is chests.
White - chests, blue - trooves, green - custom chests (not a trooves).

Your code is good, don't give up!

Thieves Trove Tracking Troubles

So I noticed that the addon tracks the locations of chests and thieves troves that you discover, but only the chests that you find actually show up on the map, I took a look at the source code of the addon and added these sections of code so you can see the thieves troves you find on the map.

This bit goes at line 4184 in version 1.81.1

Lua Code:

Making both of these changes seems to have made thieves troves that you discover show up on the map.

I also changed line 3985 to have k=1.5 because it seems to make it easier to see chests on my map, it might be a good idea to implement the ability for users to change the size of different types of pins while not changing others.
