Could you perhaps explain in which way it strips excess text? also another mod called pChat allows us to setup guild tags to replace the names. i doubt your two mods work toghether. could you perhaps also add this to your mod?

Where the text would normally read "zone:", "says:", "yells:" or similar suffixing the text will be stripped out.

Cheers.

Talking v1.12 - Fixes and Features

v1.12
- Fixed a LibStub error for users that do not also use LibAntiSpam (oops!)
- Added Option to Disable Chat Window Fading
- Added Option to Display Player Name in Guild Chat (in addition to Character Name, thus "character@player")
- 'Automatic Guild Abbreviations' should now pick up on lower case characters and respect punctuation.
- Users can now (optionally) specify an 'Explicit Guild Abbreviation' for each of their Guilds.
- Highlight colors for Loot are now calculated correctly.

Enjoy!

I like to have both Character name and UserID shown in guild chat but I've noticed that when the Character Name is more than 1 word and that word also exists within the UserID it doesn't show up correctly.

e.g. UserID: @Thalamir
Char Name: La'aliam Thalamir
Guildchat output: [La'aliam c1888FF[Thalamir@Thalamir]h

So far it's always the 2nd word.

After a cursory scan of TCC's code it looks like it should play well with all Add-Ons, but, I am at work and wasn't able to actually test.

What's really strange is that it shows a color code in the middle of the name, and a bracket in the middle of the character name.

X4D Chat modifies the name after the link has been built, and does not inject brackets nor colors into the name. Can you confirm this happens when X4D Chat is the only add-on enabled?

I tested it for a week now and it works great for me. Thanks a lot. I hated seeing accountnames in the guild chat. May Auri-El guide your way

The only addon in general or the only chat addon? (Hopes he won't have to turn off ~60 addons :P)

Feature Request - chat log

I'm quite surprized. I'm seeing all these complicated features but I cannot find a single simple chat log saver. It would just save the chat history per tab to a .txt. Each tab having a .txt file of its own.

Love the ability for this to display character names instead of account names. Wish it'd play nice with pchat as I have some colors set for my chats via that addon that this seems to overwrite. Guess I need to wait for a standalone or for pchat maybe to incorporate that.

This addon is good though, solid.
