Updating the previous works of Thenedus and then Denidil, which were functional but neglected.

I extended Junkee's original functionality, and also with time have added extra options that come disabled by default - and may not fit the original concept.

Features:

Keybinds for Junk / Unjunk, Destroy, Link to Chat, and Lock item.
Options to Hide any of the keybindings from the Inventory screen - only to prevent clutter. They are still active!
An option to save the settings per character or for the entire account.

Extra:

/gl group-leave and /gd group-disband slash commands.
/d slash command that automatically puts text into a /script d(text) format.
Mouse middle-click to copy an Inventory, Mail Inbox item name, or Chat player name into chat and select it, for quick copying.
An option to hide the Main Quest from your Journal and Quest Tracker.
An option to show in chat when zone-chat has changed. (Only after any zone chat activity - to reduce spam.)
An option to shorten guild names in chat to their abbreviations.
An option to start the game in /zone chat, instead of the default /say.
An option to block AutoInvite messages in zone chat, so you won't see one (1) character messages like "x" and "y".
NOTE: Disabled when AutoInvite is detected and Enabled.
Options to add Send Mail and Visit Primary Residence to the right-click menu option of player links in chat.
An option to minimize the chat when the inventory is opened.
An option to maximize the chat when a store is opened.
An option to track and alert for each guild when a player joins or leaves it.
/vet chat command to toggle your group difficulty mode (in dungeons, trials, and arenas.)
/cyro chat command to queue and accept into your assigned home campaign.
An option to display AP in your Inventory, under Gold.
An option to minimize the chat when the skills window is opened.
A keybinding to toggle display name (same as Settings -> Interface.)
An option to hide the compass. (Scales the frame to 0 to avoid compatibility issues.)
/imp chat command to queue and accept into CP Imperial City.

Keybindings are in Controls -> Keybindings -> User Interface Shortcuts -> Junkee 2018. Scroll down to find it. I recommend Junk = Z, Destroy = Shift+Z, Link = F2 , and Lock = Tab. (Can't use a writing key while chat is active, so an F key is easier.)

A large list of addons looks intimidating, but isn't for an oldtime developer

The prime canditate for interfering with Junkee's chat-related options is: ChatMentions. Which relies on libChat3.

Disable only those two and tell me if it works.

I run 110+ addons, not including libraries. So, I'm not real sure how this will help you

Can you double check the option is checked? I changed its data, so it will default to being unchecked.

I made sure it was checked.
I turned off everything but:
Addon Selector
Votan's Keybinder
Votan's Settings Menu
and, this addon, Junkee 2018.

And left all of my libraries enabled.

Junkee 2018's settings still weren't working.

I disabled all of the libraries except the ones needed to run the other addons:
Lib3D-v3
LibAddonMenu
LibDialog
LibGPS2
LibMainMenu-2.0
LibMapMetaData (?)
LibMapPing

And Junkee 2018's settings worked.
So.... it's a library causing a conflict??? This is going to be a pain in the butt trying to figure out which one it is.

Before I waste my day away trying to figure out which library is giving me issues... I noticed you include LibAddonMenu-2.0 and LibStub for this addon. I've manually installed those for other addons that require them. Could that be the issue?

Edit/Update: I deleted your included libraries and I swear Junkee 2018 worked at blocking autoinvites (z, x, etc) in zone chat for a moment. And then it stopped working again. What in the heck...
You can see that the zone changes worked when I went into the outlaw's refuge. (I had turned that setting on for testing purposes.) Of course you can't see that it hid the "x" i typed into chat, because it isn't there.
Junkee 2018 definitely worked for a moment. And now those settings aren't working again.

With AutoInvite selected (enabled) in the addons list, but disabled within AutoInvite's settings, I'm still seeing single letter messages in zone chat.

Is this working as intended, then? We just can't have AutoInvite enabled whatsoever?

I reworded the option to "Hide" which is what it does, and went over the code to avoid issues. This option should hide zone messages like "x" when AutoInvite is not Enabled (or doesn't exist.)

I just tested it again and it seems to be working as expected. "x" shows when AutoInvite is enabled, and doesn't show otherwise. Please tell me if it's working as expected after updating
