Settings Profiler  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.5
by: SDPhantom [More]
Lets you save in-game settings profiles to link with your other characters.
This addon is currently command-driven. A GUI may come down the road.

Notice: I've departed from playing ESO since the start of 2019. I just don't enjoy the game that much anymore and had decided to move on.
Anyone willing to maintain this addon is free to do so. I no longer have the resources to do so myself.

Commands and profile system has changed in version 2.0:
Notes: If you have any profile loaded and want to create a new profile from scratch, use /setprofile *before* making changes. Otherwise, you'll overwrite settings in the currently loaded profile.

/setprofile <Name>
- Sets <Name> as your current profile.
Saves your current settings to the profile if it doesn't exist or loads them from the profile if it does.
Changes made by your other characters will be applied on next login.
/clearprofile
- Unloads the current profile.
/delprofile <Name>
- Deletes the profile <Name>.
/savedefaultprofile
- Saves to default profile.
/cleardefaultprofile
- Clears the default profile.
/listprofiles
- Lists all profiles in chat and marks any that are linked to your character.
/resetprofiler
- Clears all profile and character data.
2.5
- Fixed channel color loading (Thanks Baertram)

2.4b
- Fixed syntax error in command system

2.4
- Fixed keybind module storage defect. (Keybind data will be wiped since it's essentially useless)
- Fixed save migration system not wiping module data from the default profile.
- Reverted 2.2 changes to AddOn:SetProfile() and /setprofile.

2.3
- The keybind module is now more resilient to entries being added or removed.
- Fixed refresh bug that would make headers from all options panels appear.

2.2b
- Fixed bug in /setprofile's existence check.

2.2
- AddOn:SetProfile() now more consistently returns the current profile if it's already set.
- /setprofile additionally checks and reports if the target profile is already loaded.
- Profile names no longer truncate to the first word. Spaces are properly supported now.

2.1
- Fixed returning issue with other addons changing settings while loading.

2.0
- Rewritten into module-based code.
- Added save migration system with separate versioning for modules.
- Profile system and commands changed, see Description.
- The default profile is now stored independently from saved ones.
- Options panels "should" refresh now if they're shown while switching profiles.
- Saving chat options (including open tabs and their settings) is now supported.
- Saving keybinds is now supported.

1.2
- Fixed another issue with other addons changing settings while loading.

1.1
- Fixed issue with other addons changing settings while loading.

The Keybind module should be fixed for the major part. I also reverted the 2.2 changes to /setprofile. It should now allow force-reloading of the current profile.

I'm in the middle of working on version 3.0, which is a growing project to implement features I have on my ToDo list. One such feature is to make profiles system-wide as opposed to being per account. While I was able to get SavedVar migration to work between 1.x and 2.0, collision issues will prevent this from working for 3.0. This means the SavedVar will be wiped and the version/migration system will be reset.

Should be fixed now. Remnants from the load check still lingered and was causing a syntax error. The file not being able to load meant none of the commands were registered.

Everything in the audio/video tabs are system settings, meaning ESO saves that for the installation itself and not the account or character.

Was looking for an addon that would save my keybinds (not a big deal to save/load anything else) and I found your mod does, indeed, do this. The problem is it saved only half of the keybinds (those half are really my custom keybinds and not the default) but the other half of keybinds it just made them "not bound."

How I used this mod:

1) logged in with a character I knew I liked how I had the keybinds setup
2) typed "/setprofile main"
3) backed out to character select screen
4) made a new character and when in the world,
4a) checked the keybinds, noting that they are indeed at the default stage
5) typed "/setprofile main"
5a) checked the keybinds and stuff like Jump (MB5) was indeed my custom setting but stuff like Open Inventory was set to "Not Bound" even though that's set to 'Insert'.

I went through the whole thing and at least half of my custom keybinds are not set correctly.

Edit: almost forgot the most important part. The original character I logged in to to make "the profile" had all their keybinds changed, seemingly all random too.

Did I use this addon wrong? I swear I spent an hour just going through all keybinds after disabling this addon to fix all the keybinds that got set to "Not Bound", or to some random keybind, or back to Default.

It's an issue I've started seeing since the last update. It's been difficult to track down since it doesn't happen very often, but once it does, the keybind save gets corrupted and it escalates from there. For now, /resetprofiler will wipe the save so you can fix things and recreate your profile.
