DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many camera features to enhance the game experience.
Gain total control and enjoy all the world using the camera settings you want depending on what you do.
  • Control!
    ⋅ Add some useful bindings to control the camera: shoulder swap, center, …

    ⋅ Prevent the camera change that occurs on interactions: chatting, craft stations, style station, lockpicking, …

BINDINGS
  • Swap camera shoulder side,

  • Camera preferred parameters: distance, field of view, and horizontal/vertical position. It overrides the regular camera settings.

  • 3 static cameras can be configured. Only works with keybindings.

  • Prevent any camera change on interactions : talking to NPCs, using craft stations, lockpicking, reading, siege.
    That really is better for immersion not to change the camera on each interaction! You can't imagine.
    For example, when you talk with someone, the camera won't focus on them.
    (I recommand to allow the camera change for “Stations”, anyway, that's strange to craft without moving.)
  • Use your own camera settings when in interactions.

  • Automatically change any of your camera settings when "events" occur: chatting, mounting, in stealth, wielding weapons, in combat, in werewolf form.
  • *NEW* “On movement” event has been added, camera feels more dynamic that ever!
  • Preset can be picked between: None / Center camera on 3rd person / Switch to 1st person / Switch to 3rd person / Custom (Do what you want).
  • There are also some specific parameters for the events: use combat to trigger draw weapon, delay to restore for combat, keep minimal distance while in werewolf…

I adore this addon, and am using it with NTak Dialogue to really fine-tune the dialog view in both first and third person, and slow down the text draw speed to stop myself reading ahead of quest NPCs. Thank you so much for your work =)

An issue I've finally pinpointed to this addon specifically though, is I'm no longer able to preview furnishings from stores like the achievement furnishing vendors. With this addon disabled, if I hover over an item in the store page my mouse pointer turns into a magnifying glass and left-clicking provides a preview of the item. However, with this addon enabled that magnifying glass icon never appears, which makes previews impossible.

I'm not sure if this is a bug everyone is encountering, or just something I've encountered due to the specific addon settings I'm using. Happy to share details of my settings if there's a file that records them somewhere?

Just wanted to say "thank you" for this excellent addon! I was originally using this just for the novelty of first-person mounts and werewolf, but I recently started to play in only first person for immersion (disable the music, turn up the ambient tracks, sometimes disable HUD altogether) and the chatting camera options are really nice, and, even MORE recently, for EXTRA immersion, I started to play in VR, and this addon is invaluable for that.

Making everything into first person, as well as making the camera "do nothing" for things like chatting/etc really helps keep the camera in a great place! I can't stress enough how nice the "do nothing" option is for chatting with NPCs, since I am already standing with them right in from of me in VR and don't need it to zoom, add the fake light, or remove the background noise; it's cool to actually talk to them properly in the environment. So, again, thank you!

Playing ESO in only first-person and in VR has breathed new life into appreciating the environments and quests; I take my time instead of RUSHING through it all like I did before. I didn't realize how much I hated the original dialogue cameras until I started messing with this, now I actually like dialogue, since it doesn't look so fake and removed from the environment/setpiece.

Hey, thanks for the tests.
But I think we've found the culprit with Caranud. It seems that it is caused by the "Event-driven cameras" / "While moving".
I've disabled the cross-characters settings, and I still crash if I activate the "while moving" camera.
I'm pretty sure this event wasn't activated for you when you disabled cross-characters settings.

For now,
I suggest you all disable the "while moving" camera, I am trying to correct the issue.

Ok, long story short:

I ran a number of tests.

The bottom line is that Cross-Character Settings seems to be the problem.

The default settings have that turned off. When resetting to default in the addon's settings menu, everything works fine. However, just after turning on Cross-Character Settings, I gave it a test and it crashed when porting.

I deinstalled with delete all save files, reinstallled, did no adjustments.
Crash to desktop when using wayshrine.

no gamepad, never fps, the lua file is to big for including it in the reply

Yeah, there's no lua error in-game. When I port, i get the loading screen, and just as it's about to load me in, the game client crashes and gives the ESO crash report screen in Windows.

It's really strange that you are not crashing in update 35. Are you running a different version of the addon than what's on Minion, by chance? I have:

I do have the same problem.

Porting from one zone to another makes the game crash.

I have version 2.5.5 ... the last one from Minion.

I'm having the exact same issue. Doesn't matter what zone I try to port it always crashes the game. Had to disable the addon. No issues since

Tried again, same crash. It happens on both old and new zones (tried to go to DLC zone and starter islands, nope…). Just tried dungeon, same result.

I don’t have the usual ingame error window so I don’t know if there’s somewhere a log other than this ?
