Re: Re: Question about RDK and evolution
Don't know if that's feasible at all, just thought I would throw it out there. Thanks ya'll for the amazing add-on and all the work you put into it. <3 |

Re: Question about RDK and evolution
I do not think it is feasible in reasonable way. Take a look at the following thread: https://www.esoui.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9551 I agree with the opinion of other addon developers there. |

I'll update the addon today or tomorrow and include the newest versions of the libraries. In mid to long term i'll reconsider my stance on libraries and might remove them in a subsequent addon release. Edit: RdK Group Tool currently is the only one of my addons that includes libraries. The others should have all libraries removed for quite a while now. I simply got annoyed by things not working with that "new" approach that did cost too much time...

Fully understood
I recommand writing the libs to the description, as well as links to the help forums e.g. https://www.esoui.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9149 Most users know what to do meanwhile, and the others need to learn it as well. Not my decision, correct. But the problems we had because of included libs outweight the problems users have about downloading and installing libraries (e.g. via Minion it's 1 search and 2 more clicks!). btw: Including older libs will not load them at all if newer versions are realeased, as long as they are included with their own txt file. The addon manager will check the ## AddOnversion tag and ONLY load the newest found, no matter in what addon folder (up to the subfolder depth of 3). It would only be possible to load them "hardcoded" from your txt file, without including their own txt file. But if you do this, you'll end with way more problems, like old included LAM versions showed last year e.g.

Hey Sordrak,
your are including old versions of the libraries, e.g. LibAddonMenu-2.0, LibfoodDrinkBuff, LibGPS, ... In the idea of libraries please do not include them in the subfolders but just name the dependencies in the ## DependsOn: ## OptionalDependsOn: , add them to your addon's description text and let the users install the dependencies on their own. They are used to it very much meanwhile and this shouldn't be such a problem like including libraries with older versions. Even if you properly include the txt files of the libs they are just "dead" or might lead to errors! Please think about removing those that got their own txt, thank you.

I there a possibility to make it easier to for ex see guild members who are not in your raid? Would be useful now the the group size is limited to 12.

Re: Re: Re: Map Pins
Use: Toolbox Settings -> Synergy Prevention -> Window Enabled: Off For the Buff Food: Toolbox Settings -> Buff Food Tracker -> Enabled: Off
But yes, might be something to add in another update of the addon.
E.g.: Group Settings -> Resource Overview (Combined) -> Size (1..2) If this isn't sufficient, let me know. Furthermore, all modules (that do have windows) should have a menu entry called "Position Fixed". This will enable / disable if a window can be moved. If it is movable, you should see a red background around the control / window. In addition, there are two buttons at the top of the menu (right below the profile selection): - "Set Position Fixed" - "Unset Position Fixed" These buttons will make the controls of all modules movable (or not).

Re: Re: Map Pins
I have several remarks about the UI though :
2) If we set it to "Off", wouldn't it be better that the addon itself hides those obtrusive windows that appear right in the middle of the screen (and they're BIG, lol)? We don't need to know if they're "Off", just not seeing them would show that they're "Off": it's only when they're "On" that the ability to show or hide the window is useful. 3) Is it possible to resize those windows and/or move them around? Again, thanks, great addon.

Re: Map Pins
Map Pins are Pins set by the player. These pins will show up on the map of other group members. Setting a map pins will cause traffic. Client -> Server -> Other Players. Therefore, ZOS implemented a limit on how much data you can send. Allowing bursts in short period of time and so on. RdK Group Tool sends 1 map pin per second. This default behavior can be changed, but shouldn't except you know what you do. This is used to send data to other group members that wouldn't be otherwise available through the API (as done in plenty of other addons). If you send more map pins over a longer period of time you usually will be disconnected for spamming. So you want to avoid other addons that do send these map pins as well. So in case of a mini map: That should be fine. I use one myself. There is no reason for a mini map to send map pins anyway. So this is unlikely to cause any issues. At least i'm not aware of a mini map that causes issues. In case of bandits: I do not use this addon, so I'm not really familiar with all of its functionality. If you have anything that is shared between group members, then it might be an issue. But please be aware that most of the things you'll see from other members are directly through the API and NOT map pins. E.g.: Buffs of other group members are not sent as map pins. You'll have to check what the other addon does and you might just try and see if everything works properly and if you get disconnected. Another thing you could do, if you only need a module that doesn't rely on map pins, just disable networking in RdK Group Tool. If I remember correctly (currently not in the game) it is at Util (Settings) -> Networking. Be aware that this will disable (respectively they don't work properly) at least the following modules: - Ressource Overview - Debuff Overview - Synergy Prevention - Synergy Overview - Health Damage Meter In the past, I knew players that were using Bandits in the past and it was working. But i'm not sure if that's still the case or if it depends on the addons' configuration. |

Re: Re: Re: Auto Invite Off Warning
Either disable the whole module or just disable this window. Both should be found at Toolbox Settings -> Synergy Prevention. Edit: Short explanation why this "window" exists. There is a key binding to turns this module on and off. Therefore, the on and off tells you the current state.
