I appreciate all the in game bow emotes and thanks. However, so you do not think I am being rude, I only have whisper, group and guild chat enabled. If anyone has tried to say a kind and subtle thank you I didn't see it. You are welcome. If you see me in game on the NA server and wish to say thanks you can whisper me if you like instead. Although I do reload my UI over and over testing changes, so I may not see it. You can try though. Thank you all for using the mod.

I Scry with my little eye...

ScrySpy is a mod I created for tracking Dig Locations similar to how HarvestMap tracks Harvest nodes. If you are satisfied with your elite scrying skills then this is not for you.

ScrySpy collects locations you visit. I have included what locations I found to test with. However, it records and draws the locations you find as you use the mod just like HarvestMap.

If you are like me knowing approximately where I have to go is helpful to me so I thought I'd share.

Q: Can you add something to detect when you have already scryed for something, and then you start scrying again for something different?
A: No. Because there is no Scrying functions. I barely came with with what I have. ZOS doesn't want this automated.

The game does not provide a way for me to get the scrying locations based on the blob on the map, the size of the blob, and all the points within the blob. What I do is the best I can do with what I found from ZOS. So I can not detect the location of multiple blobs on a single map or multiple maps and then draw the pins. In addition to that the pins show from all zones regardless of where you are so that's why they show and hide automatically depending on whether or not you are scrying.

It still records them. I have checked before. I will have to see if ZOS changed anything that might prevent things from being displayed but I don't think so.

It may have started before the Pre-PTS update, I'm not sure, I haven't done antiquities in a while, but this addon has stopped tracking new locations for me. Question Would it be possible to include more data by default?

I understand that the data included is limited, can we share our saved data(like you can with HarvestMap) and give everyone the ability to get more locations by default?


I have spent too much time looking for some pins, so I want to save the frustration for others.

Btw, this addon is amazing and I think with this data it could be superb

Very useful. Thanks!

This is a really useful addon. It was annoying to go back to the same digsites and not remember where any of the nodes were, so this is exactly what I needed. I like that the markers only show when near an active digsite. Everything works automatically, so I don't have to bother with turning anything on/off depending on whether I'm doing antiquities or not. Very well done. Thank you!

P.S. I made an alternate icon for myself, to fit in slightly better with the aesthetic of the HarvestPins addon that I use as well. If you would like to include it in ScrySpy then I would be delighted!

Well first off this is a mod that tracks where you dig. The locations only appear after you find them. It does not come with any pre loaded. So if you have not used this mod, or are a new player or a returning player, then you will not see any until you find the locations.

Also it is all automatic. Because I have a hard time controlling when to draw the 3D pins. I do not draw them unless you have an active digsite.

Lastly I do not support any languages except what the game supports. English, German, French, Russian. So if you have another language then this will not work.

So they only show up if you use an official language, if you already dug up a treasure in that spot, if you didn't start scrying in a city, and if you have an active dig site.

Otherwise I don't have a way to help troubleshoot. It works fine for me and I was using it for the event.

There may be situations where you cause the mod to not work. I don't know all of those situations.

One situation is you can not scry unless you are out in the open map. Meaning if you are in a city for example the game does not let me access what I need for the mod to work as intended. As a workaround for that I have a chat message appear that tells you the information the mod needs was unavailable and to use /ssrefresh when you are closer to the dig site. If this fails I will have to be able to reproduce it which means I would have to have extremely and absurdly detailed steps.

In the end most of the time I feel people simply think the game can tell this mod where to dig and do not realize it is a tracking mod and that you have to find the locations first.

As mentioned on the description page this mod records locations you find. I am happy to look into specific locations but I would need a screen shot of exactly the polygon from the map where the map pins and the 3D pin does not show up. Then I can verify whether or not pins show up for that location. However, when I test it I will have to get an Excavation for that Polygon and record a pin and then I have to keep trying until I get the same polygon a second time to see if my first pin is displayed.

Also this mod requires that the game is in the 4 supported languages because it uses the name of the digsite to capture the location. So English, Russian, French, and German only. If you us a fan based translation in Polish or Spanish or some other non official language then I would need the exact string used so I can match it when you dig for the relic in order to record the location.

Still does not work reliably all the time, there are places (non cities) where it just don't save a dig location.
During that, chat window does not inform me to enter specific command.
But I love it anyway

I'm currently in Auridon and sites near the dungeon Banished Cells I,II are not recorded.
I can see 3D pin to appear once digging is done but it immediately disappears.
