Great update! A small request though is having the window slightly bigger and have a column that displays where the lead source(s). Being able to turn off some columns would be nice too but I am sure you are planning to add addon settings already.
Also, there is a lot of weird output in the chat atm. This happens when mousing over the dropdowns and column headers.

Re: Also getting lots of chat
Oh yeah, it also seems to be printing out the default settings when you log in.

OH MY
My apologies! Left some debug printout in the code. I have libdebuglog and debuglogviewer so they go into a different window I have usually clicked away. So didn't notice them.... Noob mistake ;-) Will remove and upload an update. At this time and day we should have favorable winds through the file admin queue and it should be up shortly.... |

Could you clarify what you mean by " where the lead source(s)"? Do you mean the info that is currently in the tooltip? That isnt' really working as for some items it is already quite a list and will only grow and no way to fit it into a cell nicely. It's why I ended up turning towards Tooltip. Or the zone where the Lead can be found for the few where it is different than where the Lead can later be scried? Considered it, then looked through the list and thought it is few enough cases to not matter. And decided to postpone until we have more complete Location Information.... Or do you mean the subzone/town/delve/dungeon? Thought about it too, but - Going through neigh 300 entries and filling that out by hand kept me from it - In addition quite a few have many different sources WB1,WB2,Public Dungeon Boss, Chest, All are not gonna fit a single cell. Which one do I take? Is it even helpful if I only put in one?
I was actually planning about how to avoid stuff like addon settings, adding/removing columns, resizable windows, saved vars etc.... ;-) One thing I was kinda thinking about was a new Filter thievery. To only display leads that can be found in safeboxes. For my kitty thief to know where to go and work on the 1M achievement. Even started going through the list and noting those. But realized Leads seem to have main sources. But sometimes other sources too. I have a growing feeling that few/some/all Leads have been added as very low drop chances into certain loot tables. Which is kinda nice by ZOS. But my Addon saying Lead X can be found in Chest/safebox in Y. When that was just a super rare one in a million rng drop table event isnt't gonna be useful to people. I send somebody to Y and they'll be opening safeboxes for months before they get one.... Long story short.... not feeling that confident in my understanding ofsome Lead drop tables.. to invest to much time into creating functionality that will later turn out to be uselsess or even counterproductive... More time will clear such things up. And in a few days our console brethren will join us in adding info. Seems like smart move to wait a bit for some of the possible functionalities... And heck...still haven't even started the Greymoor Main Quest.... :-/ Anyway...long ramblings short meaning.... kinda hesitant right now to go that much further.... need time to understand these things before i decide what makes sense...best way is to go playing.... especially my thief. And try to get a feel for those lead drop tables for multisource Leads...

Yeah, I guess it would be messy showing the lead source in a column for leads that can drop from multiple sources. You'd end up with multiline leads and that would look bad.
If not having addon settings then at least have it save the column settings between logins. I haven't started on Greymoor either. Doing elsewyr atm, trying to do the main dlcs in order (not doing dungeon dlcs)

More time needed digesting the data. Well and more data :-) But if it boils down to something that easy as furnishings are a mess. rest is clean. That would totally open up the "source" info column possibility. I know I want it. Just didnt look feasible... Would have totally forgotten to save column sort orders. And only saved Filter settings.

Wow, what an update! :D
Awesome update.
Two very minor cosmetic bugs to report, with dropdown menu item tooltips: 1) The tooltips for the dropdown menus appear behind the menus themselves, making some of the text unreadable. I would expect them to appear in front of, or beside the menu. Repro steps: - hit the hotkey to open the addon's window - click to open any of the three dropdown menus at the top, eg the "all zones". - mouseover any menuitem that has a tooltip, other than the first, eg "Exclude minor DLC". - see that the tooltip opens behind the menu. 2) Not reproducible: when you have a menu open over a list of leads, the tooltips for the leads behind the menu can show, rather than the tooltips for the menu items. I would expect mouseovering the menu to always show only tooltips from the menu. Sadly, cannot reproduce: steps were as above, but ensuring that the menuitem was over an underlying list item. Closing the window and reopening it caused this issue to go away, so I cannot reliably reproduce this one. And a request: Filtering for leads you "Can Find" and which only drop in "Group Dungeons" (as a zone filter?) would be very useful, as those are the only ones that can't be ground casually. They're the ones I've been trying to hit up this weekend, before too many people finish their own grinds and lead-grinding parties become hard to find! |

More Filters
Hey, love the addon!
I was wondering if more filter options could be added. Specifically a combination of "Can Scry" and "Have Lead" so that you can see across all zones what you can actually do at a glance. Thanks in advance! |

Re: More Filters
Mmmhhh, "Can Scry" and "Have Lead" are new and old name for the same thing. Did you mean "Can Scry" and "Can Find" maybe? That would be like "All Leads" minus all repeatables that have been done or found already. Makes total sense to have that Filter. Will definitely add it. Whether you meant that or something else. If you meant something else, please elaborate what you meant.. ;-) |
