This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
    Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

Heya,
sadly not all items where intuition would dictate have reliable values in the level/CP requirement properties set. At least armor, jewellery, weapons, and i think potions/poisons have them working. Crafting materials haven't set it correctly, so there is nothing but the item name to distinguish them from each other.

You can check most item properties used by JunkBuster for a given item with the chat command:
/jbil item-link

Addon does not automatically mark items as a junk

Hello, this addon looks awesome for me but no matter what i do i can't auto mark selected items in addon settings. When i mark as a junk manually and open the merchant, it sells successfully and print the log onto chat. Am i missing something? Is there a way to auto mark items i want

incorrect recognition of crafting mats level

Hello, addon doesn't seem to recognize correctly level of crafting materials.

Example rule:
Destroy any Blacksmithing Material with a max. CP level of 140

Deconstruct blacksmithing item and rubedite ingots will get destroyed as well.
I think it affects also woodworking and clothing mats. I can test if needed.

Precisely!
For each new item you receive your rules are evaluated in the order as they are displayed in the settings screen. The first Rule that fits that particular item is executed and all following rules are skipped

Keeping and destroying trophies

Hello Atoom,

again, I have question about destroying items.
I have a rule, that says "Keep any Trophy" and event items rules like "Destroy any Trophy/Toy that has Feder-Staunenmacher in its name".

The "Keep any Trophy" rule overrules the destroy rules - can this be changed, so that the detroy rules work but any other trophies are kept? Do I maybe have to put the destroy rules before the keep rules?

It's just ThiefTools that causes crashes, especially when u are looting a lot of stolen things at once (for example when u killed multiple citizens or sheeps etc) the best thing to do is get rid of thieftools

possible timer for rules in the future?

wonderful addon!

i have an issue when using this with ThiefTools. i have JunkBuster set to destroy any low quality items i get when stealing and that alone works well but when paired with ThiefTools my game will sometimes freeze when i get an item set to be destroyed when picking pockets. i have to close my game down and restart.

im no tech wizard but i think it might be happening bc JunkBuster is destroying the item before ThiefTools can take a look at what i stole. would be it be possible to add in a timer to the rules? like "perform x action after y seconds"?

Thanks for the heads up! When the game update releases i'll keep an eye out for that when making the update for the addon. These kinds of things regularly happen as ESO devs change things in the addon API almost every game update...

Stolen items have a treasure type. Would it be possible to add those variables so that a person could save the treasures that are drinkware, scrivener supplies, and the others used for thieves guild while destroying all of the treasure types that are not used for those quests?
