This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
    Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

Planned future additions:
  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

Not sure about this one as I haven't played actively in years. But there is a second item type that could be referring to motifs, namely: "Collectible" with specialised type "Style Page". Maybe game mixes both types for different styles? You might want to try this.

In case that doesn't help, I'd need to see a few screenshots to figure out things further:
- Your complete rules list
- The chat output when picking up a new item of that type with detailed reporting turned on (if possible)
- The output after passing an item link of that item to the /jbil chat command
Thanks, I will try that but will propaply have to wait a year for testing, because the motif was a Witches event item

I see. To be honest I dont know how the back end works in terms of developing an addon. The destroying part does sound dangerous when you mention it so maybe only the junking part? Also there could be a limitation of how the re-scan works? Just like the auto selling option. To limit it to a certain number of scanning at a time.

Other than this subject I have 2 more ideas:
- Separating Armors and Jewellery could be an option?
- Maybe there could be an additional option just for Style pages? (Not Style Motifs)

Thanks for the heads up! When the game update releases i'll keep an eye out for that when making the update for the addon. These kinds of things regularly happen as ESO devs change things in the addon API almost every game update...

Thanks for the info! I looked into this further, and there was indeed a bug in the way JunkBuster was creating new rules that involved certain specialized item types.

In this case it was possible that a newly created rule was saved with the ID of the wrong specialized type which in turn creates a rule that can never be triggered (there wouldn't be a item in game with this combination of base and specialized item types).

The new version 1.88 fixes this. However it is necessary for the user to remove and recreate any rules that are affected by this problem as they are already faulty within the saved data of the addon.

Exclamation Isn't working rn

Just installed for the first time so I can't compare to previous use. Sorry.

Not sure why, double checked library reqs, toggled on/off, reloaded UI, reloaded the game itself, including a full restart. I can only assume they muddled something in the latest-latest update, thought to give you a heads up.

By default any crafted items are excluded from rules if nothing is selected in the "Crafted" filter. E.g. the only way to make a rule apply to any crafted items is to select one of the named options in this filter. This is this way for historic / compatibility reasons. (Before there was a crafted filter, crafted items were always excluded)
