Current Development

I had set out to first revise the SavedVariables so the mod loads data faster. While the saved variables files do use less space there is more data stored. You may not experience a decrease in load times. That was the main focus of 3.6.x however, there are other features and improvements.

- Import ATT Sales and Purchases
- Import MM Sales and Purchases (ShoppingList)
- NA and EU data is stored separately
- Bonanza, tracks items listed on traders you visit
-- The Bonanza data is used to calculate an average price of the items seen at other kiosks
-- Bonanza items can be filtered by name, type, and known or unknown. For subtype such as Divines, Praxis, One-Handed use the search box
- BeamMeUp can be used to travel to the zone the trader is located in. With the usual restrictions of course.
- Purchases are now part of the MM window and the standalone ShoppingList is no longer needed (Purchases can be imported)
- The MM window will now show posted and canceled items you list on your guilds traders
- Some Master Merchant settings moved to LibGuildStore settings menu
- Various performance improvements
- Choose from the MM Price, TTC Price, or Bonanza Price for the Deal Calculator
- Choose from the MM Price, TTC Price, or Bonanza Price when replacing gold values in inventory

Updating

Because this version is being rewritten you should always backup your sales data prior to updating Master Merchant 3.0. I will not be responsible for lost data historical or otherwise.

The ZOS currency formatting would not handle a number higher then about 3B and would return 100,020,635 instead of 4,394,987,931. This was true for the two original ways MM has always handled currency, and another way using zo_strformat() and CURT_MONEY from the wiki. So I had to use an Lua example from the web.

WARNING: There is no function to check if you set an incorrect value or not. Meaning if one value is 25 percent and the value above it is 20 percent then nothing will tell you that's not going to work. You will need to keep the values in line yourself.

The function MasterMerchant:toolTipStats() has been removed. Use MasterMerchant:itemStats(itemLink, false) instead.

For Users:

NOTE: The documentation is not updated so in order to update how potions and writs are sorted, you will need to use the following slash command

/lgs clean, which is /LGS CLEAN but use lowercase.

Changes:

- Added right click options to guild store (Vanilla and AGS) to add the Seller or the Guild Name to the Guild and Account filter.
- Added voucher information for Writs to the tooltip and price to chat. The price per voucher is based on the average not the exact Writ itself. So don't whip out your calculator and tell me that x / y isn't zz.zz. It's based on the total average.
- Option to not use the price per voucher since Writ Worthy shows cost based on the craft cost of the requirement for the Writ.
- Writs are sorted by voucher count so some writs may not have any sales information when they may have previously.

Writ Change:

After a conversation with Octopuss which didn't go well and I apologize for that. Initially I did not want to group Writs by voucher count because of previous experimentation with doing that until I went out looking at Writs on other traders. I mentioned I needed to rewrite the Writ system with 3.3.6 anyway.

Using Bonanza and other things I looked at prices, cost per voucher, and what you have to craft. I noticed that even though you may need Roe or Dreugh Wax to make them, the prices were all over the place. After asking about things it seemed people throw them up and if they sell quickly, price it higher the next time. I still don't like how some Writs will now have no sales data because of the amount of Vouchers but it seems the change is needed.

The other thing I noticed is that Awesome Guild Store has a price per voucher as well. The price uses the same calculation as MM such that it is the average price and voucher count. Writ Worthy has hard coded information for calculating prices for crafting the requirement for the Writ.

NOTE: MM has never had a method to account for joining and leaving guilds. Meaning it never configured the many arrays needed for MM to function. I added some additional code for LibHistoire to help the library if either event occurs.

Thanks to all the GMs that let me join and leave their guilds. I probably bothered them more then they wanted. Guilds that helped were: Feline Great Meowporium, Free Marketers, Spicy Economics, Krafty Retro Designs, and the Conquest of Tamriel.

If you have any issues just make sure sales are linked as mentioned in the documentation listed on the description page and then use the Refresh LibHistoire button from the LibGuildStore settings menu.

- Added methods to account for leaving and joining a guild after you log in with LibHistoire already running. If you join a guild just open their sales tab once. Which at that point everything should be set up and ready to receive sales data from LibHistoire.

NOTE: For future reference. Future releases will not contain patches and hot-fixes for other authors mods. It is their job to ask which functions to use for the information they want. If there is no API then they should not alter MM functionality. For example if an author changed AGS functionality no patches would be made. It would be discussed and if the sirinsidiator objected to the feature request then that would be the end of it.

I intend to make improvements and when I do I can't preemptively inform authors ahead of time that there will be changes. MM is not a library like LibGPS where you might want to create an alias routine for backwards compatibility.

For a range from 1 to 999 the data with the mean could give you and average of 89 and with the median 42. While other items like chromium grains, you may not see much of a difference. You could have way more data points. For example 44 compared to 3000. Therefore the chromium grains will have a much more focused range. Nobody wants to buy chromium grains for 125,000. The shear quantity of data points make chromium grains show a more meaningful trend then another item with less then 100 sales.

I really don't recommend it but if you click the chain link for Guild and Bank that is all you really need to do.

Master merchant registers to receive only sales data from LibHistoire. It does not receive any other information.

What's the reasoning behind scanning not just guild Sales history, but also Guild, Bank, and Alliance? I am in a guild that makes extensive use of their bank to deposit/withdraw materials from frequent guild farming runs, and this has been causing MM to delay updating that particular guild, and me having to wait to log out some nights. Do those scans somehow directly relate to sales history? If they're just features admins might find useful, is there a way for non-admin members to opt out of it? If not, is it something that can be added in the future?

There is the issue. You can't confuse Refresh with Rescan. There is a description below each image. Let me know if the Refresh button resolves the issue.

Keep in mind neither button has server access to draw in sales from the server. So if you use the refresh button this time instead of the rescan button, and you feel you're still missing information that's because you never obtained it from the server or it got lost because of the crash. Which in that case you should do a 10-day scan for all your Guild's to make sure you have the last 10 days of information because the server doesn't keep more than 10 days.

I have no errors. Nothing appears to be corrupted. The data I uploaded between logging in and crashing is just missing and i cannot seem to get i uploaded. The data lost was the end of day two... and most of day three. From my history in MM it appears I only have a few sales from day three

I go to the guild page and check my link:

It is fine. I scroll guild history until i find missing sales:

Unhappy No way to pick up lost data

I recently had a straight to desktop crash (definitely not MM's problem). I had updated my sales from the guild history, posted some things for sale and had a few more things sell. Then boom. So what is a good translation for tooltip and graph so I can say that it removes it from the tooltip and not the graph.

"Fügt die" means something is added somehow, not actively added by a person.

Adds the Bonanza-Price data to the tooltip, based on the vendor lists which you have seen in the past 24 hours. This way the Bonanza-Price will not be removed from the graph at the bottom of the tooltip.

Yes I did, and I mentioned it in my previous post. I tested your data multiple times and I was able to refresh your data you provided me in under one hour, on average 45 minutes.

This is why I am done discussing this. You keep saying MM is not finishing and taking too long and I am telling you it will finish and about how long it takes. It most definatly matters how many sales the user has. My data takes about 15 minutes your data takes about 45 minutes. What may take 15 to 45 minutes for me, someone else may take even longer. All I did was have everything disabled and sit there standing in the same spot in Vvardenfell doing nothing but occasionally moving to keep from going AFK. I don't even have to disable everything it still takes about the same amount of time.

I could suggest things like OneDrive or whatever and all it would do is perpetuate the conversation that is going nowhere and doesn't end. I in no way brushed you off either. I spent over a week and what small improvements I did make didn't really do much and I figured as much because there was nothing wrong to begin with. I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful I'm just making it clear. There is no issue with MM refreshing data including your LibHistoire.lua you provided me.

There is no update that will address anything because there is nothing to address. I can't tell you why you are having issues. It is local to you and if what you did as a workaround makes it so that you can use mm 3.6.x then going forward as I make other updates at least you will be able to continue to use the latest version rather then being stuck with 3.5.x.

Personally, I do not consider the "procedure" as documentation for Master Merchant -- insofar as I do not recall any remarks about how MM does or does not work, or how to use MM. No one should use it without first consulting you.

The problem which I hoped to avoid is that LibGuildStore never finished its Refresh (!). I don't suppose that either of us has discovered why that was the situation. Removing the very large LibHistoire.lua from ...\Saved Variables stopped that from happening. It also reduced the time LibGuildStore spent for the Refresh to about 3 minutes with the newly-created LibHistoire.lua data file.

As a result, the sales data in the former LibHistoire.lua was not available for storage in the GS00.lua .... GS17.lua data files that LibGuildStore created in the ...\Saved Variables folder. However, the MM00Data.lua .... MM16Data.lua files contained almost 90 days of sales history that I imported with LibGuildStore. So not much was lost, if anything at all. That might not be so, when (if ever) another player follows the same procedure, whether for the same problem.

Since I configured LibGuildStore to retain data for 90 days, it should begin deleting a lot of records today, and for many days to come. ....

Master Merchant and Advanced Member Tooltip - LibHistoire already have a chat window message when the rescan is complete. Download the current version and once you click Refresh LibHistoire it will output the same message it did before "LibGuildStore Not Finished Yet" and added to that will be the estimated time. Keep in mind the more you are doing and any reload UI or travel to another zone or anything really, will slow down the process because LibAsync will adjust for what you are doing to keep the game playable. The benefit is LibAsync keeps the game from lagging and keep you from being dumped to a login screen but any processes will take longer.

If you are talking about 3.5.x then I already know it does that. I don't support that version regardless. If 3.6.x does basically the same thing then it is partially ZOS related and I can't resolve it.

1. Erroneous timestamp. These occur frequently for you as shown in your log files. In the LibDebugLogger it will list it as "EventTime -2147483648 is negative". This is a ZOS issue and can not be controlled by mods, mod authors, or anyone else in any way. While it is happening then LibHistoire can not process data. A recent sale can not be recorded as 1657 moths ago or it would be so old the next UI reload or the next log in, it would be deleted because it is too old. Even one erroneous timestamp as the 100th event will mean the 10,000th event can not process until the server resolves the time stamp on its own.

Quite frankly I did the same thing with MM 3.1.0.

2. ZOS does not provide sales data at the speed users want and expect. This is a ZOS issue and can not be controlled by mods, mod authors, or anyone else in any way. I normally refer to these as offline sales because it happened while you were not playing.

2a. The same section as shown in the docs for "What is being scanned" is also ZOS controlled for sales after you have logged in. ZOS can and will choose to stop sending new sales based on server load at will without notice or prejudice.

Busy guilds mean more sales per day. You have 3 out of 5 guilds that have approximately 200,000 sales. The other two are less then 30,000 sales. For the two slower guilds everything should be fine. I would not know for sure but most likely these are the two that are consistent.

The server does not inform mod authors if it has decided to not send recent sales or offline sales or if you have more frequent erroneous timestamps. These are all external factors that I can not control and ZOS does not give authors a method to notify a user when anything is happening that might hinder their particular play style.

If you don't see sales for the last 4 hours, check guild history first. If one or more guilds show sales in the last 4 hours but one doesn't that is a server issue. If you see erroneous timestamps as I show in the screen shots that is a server issue. You had 90+ erroneous timestamps in your last LibDebugLogger file and with that many I would be surprised if anything processes at all. In the "Lucian Allegiance" discord in the #trader-addons channel Chalinal had a grave issue where nothing processed either. You probably have the same issue regardless of the extent of the issue. ZOS related, sorry.

Solutions are simple. Each day you log in request a day of sales and click Rescan. If after a day or two you do not see sales then go to the LibGuildStore settings and click Refresh LibHistoire. If that doesn't work maybe you had issues one of the last 3 or 4 days, so do a 3 or 4 day scan one day at a time. Just watch for erroneous timestamps because if you have any then nothing will process.

Doing a ten day scan or using Refresh LibHistoire is highly discouraged because it usually results in examining the same data already stored in MM or LibHistoire and they are just checking for duplicates. However, since I can not be there to explain any inconsistent situations then those options are there so you can do something.

At this point it is pretty obvious that I can not address the situation because I can not reproduce the error. Like you I am playing the game with the English game installed, but using the Korean Hangul font and the Translated font that is moved to the Chinese UTF8 area because ZOS does not support Hangul at all.

However, there really is no reason to put "(Raw" in the description in the first place which is what was in your error.

So if it works for hundres of other people, if it works for me, but for some reason it doesn't work for you then I will do what I can but I can not control the unofficial translation or what is in it and I don't speak Korean.

I don't even have a way to maintain the Korean translation yet. However, because of your report I am looking into it.

If there is some really simple fix we can try again but I would want all your files so I can look at them more closly. The files from your SavedVariables folder, not the Addons folder.

1. All GSxxData files
2. LibHistoire.lua

Then a new link to your LibDebugLogger.lua with the error.

I may not be able to fix it and I will not have time to look into it until the weekend. What probably happened is somehow the English text was there, now it's the Korean text and something simply isn't working for you.



ZOS does not support Hangul and will not do so for memory and other resource reasons.

I will do what I can but this is more of an EsoKR issue.
