Just fixed debuff/CC text flooding when spamming a failed action when the reason for the failed action was a crowd control effect.

Basically, you get stunned, then spam left click / attack, it will fail because you are stunned and then you will get stunned messages flooding the screen.

It now has a 2 second buffer before it displays the cc message again and plays an ability failed sound instead for the duration of the buffer. Each buffer is unique so you will still get for example, a feared notification if the stunned notification is already on the 2 second buffer.

I can add energized but why drain? Drain seems to be stamina loss. That would flood the screen when you or the enemy is sprinting. Also for names of abilities, just add %t in the formats.

EDIT: Energized added. Tested with Restoration staff heavy attack, Draw Essence and Magicka and Stamina potions.

so, here are some "results"

with hybrid animation on (which is what i prefer)

and outgoing set to up, i shrink the outgoing box all the way, leave it unlocked

i then test animation, and the test animations all stay withing that box

but once i start doing damage, it's like i never shrunk the outgoing box

edit: i think i've figured out what the "problem" is, font size, if i set the critical font size to 25, it stays within the box....but if i set it to 50, it goes back to being as if the box was never resized

i suppose that makes sense?

Debuffs fixed.

You will get a message saying what crowd control effect you have on you and it will display again each time you attempt an action that is blocked by the CC. So if you are stunned, it will say "Stunned", then if you try to use an ability while still stunned, it will say "Stunned" again. If you spam an action while stunned, it does flood the screen which I am aware of and will fix in the next update. I will either make a buffer or make it play a sound instead of displaying the same message over and over. So, it will say "Stunned" and then if you fail an action it won't say "Stunned" again but instead it will play a sound.

NOTE: Most events that root your character to the ground are considered CC, such as mounting your horse puts your character in a stunned state, so these notifications are "in combat" only. I have NOT tested siege equipment, which may put you into a CC state. If any PvPers get CC spam while manning siege let me know.


@ rotatorkuf

Could maybe set the origin to the center instead, so that there is at least a buffer before flooded numbers could potentially exit the box but I'd have to tune the minimum height of the boxes so that the animation doesn't exceed the box either.

I got a fix for debuffs incoming. The in combat check didn't work (I never really tested it, the CC stuff was experimental at the stage when my version was merged). I have fixed that and will add a toggle so that you can make healing numbers only appear when in combat as I'm sure a lot of PvPers don't want to see a whole bunch of "Healed 0" popping up when generating ultimate.
yaep, tha'ts how i confirmed they're not staying inside the box, this was in hybrid

cloud is a little better

can you fix the following:

even if i resize the outgoing all the way down and put it to the top of the screen

the damage output doesn't stay in the box (it never did), but now it's like i didn't even shrink it vertically

it just takes up almost the whole screen

i have the outgoing box resized all the way down vertically

have it at the top of my screen

numbers still fly about 500 or so pixels below the box

edit: apparently this is my "problem" with hybrid animation

Sorry for the hassle guys, but please do understand the latest upgrade was kind of big and the user base was extremely small to test before going public. Also, the Combat Cloud team has grown 100% so give it some time to iron out

It's normal; the new menu addon (LAM 2.0) which Combat Cloud depends on, merges all addon settings in its own settings panel to address an old bug.

However, right now, there is still a little problem with LAM2.0, which I'm sure will be fixed soon.

Also, the Combat Cloud menu has changed by itself. A lot of new options were added.

Hi great addon,

However i'm getting a weird menu bug,

somehow Garkins (skyshards, lorebooks) addons have merged with yours into one menu. And the menu for combatcloud is completely different from the Pictures shown on esoui.

Happened once I turned on the cloud display. It just doesn't work. I am forced to return to a previous version (one before this doesn't seem to work either, using 0.73 now).

Hey,

XP gain is not showing on animation (maybe AP and VP too, dunno), there are plenty of typo in settings menu and there is no debuff information anywhere.
