Re: Re: Fix/adjustment of the warning dialog feature
For me, it works. However, it is quite possible that any addon (or game setting) make a difference so that the game's code behaves different. My current problem is that I hook into the game's code earlier then before. |

Could be a bit tricky as FCOIS relies on the bagId and slotIndex -> itemInstanceId (or the "unique ids" of items -> depending on the user settings). We will see what we can use and find out here, so it might take some time to implement this.
AND one issue could happen: automatically removing the marker icons again will not be exactly at the time as the cooldown is gone! But as you e.g. scroll the inventoy list next time or change a filter, or refresh the inventory list somehow. But I guess this should be ok, especially in terms of performance, as having to check every second if the cooldown is gone would be too heavy and lag the inventories imo. This should be enough for the boxes to update as the inventory is somehow refreshed as you e.g. need to scroll the box into view. Only if you open the inv, use a box and let the inventory stay there until the cooldown is gone (for the boes this addon here tracks this will be hours later as fa as I understood so should never happen) it would not update until you scroll a bit.

The integration with FCO ItemSaver has a lot more useful features that I did not think about. Thank you both for your effort. |

@deadsoon thank you soo much for coming up with a workaround, this should help immensely. @Baertram As an extensive FCO Item Saver user, I would find this to be amazing! Great ideas and love the integration suggestion |

If this addon provides an API that returns "IsOnCooldown" or anything like this I could add it to automatic marking of FCOItemSaver so you can define your own marker icons for them, and filter them with FCOIS.
I only need something that returns the info like isOnCooldown (boolean) or cooldownTimeLeft (number) or similar for the item (per bagId and slotIndex of the inventory item). @DeadSoon if this okay with you write me a PM with details abou your API/global function to use for that

Is it possible to add an option to display an adiitional warning icon in the inverntory list view for containers that are on cooldown?
Something like Craftstore adds for unknown recipes or icons you see in FCO ItemSaver or Research Assistant. So that you see the on cooldown status directly in the inventory and are not tempted to open a container that is on cooldown. I can use the /ict command for most of the supported items, but Black Fin Legion and Ivory Brigade have the same container icons and names but different ids and after getting one of them they have different cooldowns. Thanks Snow |

Fix/adjustment of the warning dialog feature
With update 2.1 you should be able again to use items from the inventory while in combat. The downside for now: The "Warning of opening too early" feature currently works only when opening containers via double click. If you open a container with active cooldown via keybind or context menu, you wont get a warning dialog. |

However, I localized the root cause but currently Im not able to fix it. ZOS executes a function which should not be executable in combat. And even though my prehook doesn't interrupt/stop the call, it still breaks for some reason. I asked the developer community and I am optimistic that someone has a good idea.

With the addon enabled and the "Warning of opening too early" set to ON, I just hit a target dummy, then go into my inventory and try to double click on any food and it just silently blocks eating/drinking without any popup or cooldown window and no chat message shows. When I turn off the "Warning of opening too early", do a reloadui, I can now eat while in combat or if I disable the addon all together it allows to consume the food/drink while in combat. And like I said, I removed my whole addon folder and the specific savedvariables config file, added a fresh new version of item cooldown tracker from minion and it behaved the same way. No other mod conflicts could have happened as there was no other mods installed. |

Just to be sure: You try to use your buff food via quick slot, correct? And makes it any different which food or drink you use?
