Item Cooldown Tracker  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 4.3
by: @DeadSoon [More]
This addon tracks automatically the loot cooldown of specific items.

Some special items can drop only once a day. ESO has a server-dependent daily reset time at which such cooldowns are reset. This addon automatically records the time when you receive one of those items and supports you with helpful infromation. Item tooltips of the container display the cooldown information and a dialog will warn you if you try to open a container with active cooldown. Furthermore, you can check active cooldown times (basically the time until the daily server reset) via chat command "/ict" manually. The addon helps you to prevent opening containers or completing/hand in quests although you can not receive the valuable item/reward.

Dependencies:
You need to install the following libraries separately:

LibAddonMenu-2.0

Features:
  • You will see a info in the chat if a tracked item was collected
  • You can always see how long you have to wait via the chat command /ict
  • You will see the cooldown details (if expired or how long you have to wait)
    • in the tooltip of the containers in your inventory
    • in the item tooltip of mail attachments
    • in the item tooltip of quest reward dialogs
  • If you try to open a container with an active cooldown, a dialog will warn/prevent you from accidental opening. Of course, you still have the choice to open the container (may not work reliably, there are two different options, please check the addon settings).

How to use:
Go to the addon settings:
  1. Select the item(s) you want to track/untrack from the dropdown list
  2. Click on the button to track or to untrack the selected item(s)
  3. When you collect a tracked item, the addon automatically logs the current time.
  4. Dialogs and tooltips prevent you from opening containers to early.
  5. Type /ict into the chat to see all active cooldowns
  6. NEW: Mark container with active cooldown via FCO ItemSaver automatically.

Oh it is good I checked this. It seems im not the only one that experiencing the mod not warning me before opening a container that is on cd.

If this doesnt work wud it be possible for the addon to have the cd on the tooltip instead like how u see the cd of crafting scrolls?

Also thank you so much for all your cool addons. I use all of em and super helpful in so many ways.

That's strange and I have no idea. Preventing on double-click should really work and it do for me. Can anyone else confirm anything?

Otherwise we need to wait until the FCOIS integration is ready.

Can you please test it again while all other addons are disabled?
For me, it works. However, it is quite possible that any addon (or game setting) make a difference so that the game's code behaves different. My current problem is that I hook into the game's code earlier then before.

With update 2.1 you should be able again to use items from the inventory while in combat.
The downside for now: The "Warning of opening too early" feature currently works only when opening containers via double click. If you open a container with active cooldown via keybind or context menu, you wont get a warning dialog.

Could be a bit tricky as FCOIS relies on the bagId and slotIndex -> itemInstanceId (or the "unique ids" of items -> depending on the user settings). We will see what we can use and find out here, so it might take some time to implement this.

AND one issue could happen: automatically removing the marker icons again will not be exactly at the time as the cooldown is gone!
But as you e.g. scroll the inventoy list next time or change a filter, or refresh the inventory list somehow.
But I guess this should be ok, especially in terms of performance, as having to check every second if the cooldown is gone would be too heavy and lag the inventories imo.

This should be enough for the boxes to update as the inventory is somehow refreshed as you e.g. need to scroll the box into view.
Only if you open the inv, use a box and let the inventory stay there until the cooldown is gone (for the boes this addon here tracks this will be hours later as fa as I understood so should never happen) it would not update until you scroll a bit.

I welcome this idea! Such an integration would be a great benefit to all FCOItemSaver user. Because I think most of the programming effort is on your end, I thank you right now. I write you a PM to communicate the API details.
I had only a simple solution on my mind like borrowing a few lines form a simple addon like Set Collection Marker. No customisation at all.
The integration with FCO ItemSaver has a lot more useful features that I did not think about.
Thank you both for your effort.

Something like Craftstore adds for unknown recipes or icons you see in FCO ItemSaver or Research Assistant. So that you see the on cooldown status directly in the inventory and are not tempted to open a container that is on cooldown.
I can use the /ict command for most of the supported items, but Black Fin Legion and Ivory Brigade have the same container icons and names but different ids and after getting one of them they have different cooldowns.

Thanks
Snow

@deadsoon thank you soo much for coming up with a workaround, this should help immensely.

@Baertram As an extensive FCO Item Saver user, I would find this to be amazing! Great ideas and love the integration suggestion

Is it possible to add an option to display an adiitional warning icon in the inverntory list view for containers that are on cooldown?
Something like Craftstore adds for unknown recipes or icons you see in FCO ItemSaver or Research Assistant. So that you see the on cooldown status directly in the inventory and are not tempted to open a container that is on cooldown.
I can use the /ict command for most of the supported items, but Black Fin Legion and Ivory Brigade have the same container icons and names but different ids and after getting one of them they have different cooldowns.

Thanks
Snow

Fix/adjustment of the warning dialog feature

While I was not able to find a quick solution for that problem, I fixed it accordingly for now:

With update 2.1 you should be able again to use items from the inventory while in combat.
The downside for now: The "Warning of opening too early" feature currently works only when opening containers via double click. If you open a container with active cooldown via keybind or context menu, you wont get a warning dialog.

I tested again and you are right. Im really surprised that it is possible to use items from the inventory (not quick bar!) while in combat. Because I didnt expect that, it did not come to my attention at first.

However, I localized the root cause but currently Im not able to fix it. ZOS executes a function which should not be executable in combat. And even though my prehook doesn't interrupt/stop the call, it still breaks for some reason.

I asked the developer community and I am optimistic that someone has a good idea.

Sorry, but I was not able to reproduce this issue. Maybe someone else?
Just to be sure: You try to use your buff food via quick slot, correct? And makes it any different which food or drink you use?
No, via double clicking in the inventory. Doesn't matter if it is a food or a drink as I tried on multiple chars and both purple drinks, blue bi-stat food, and gold sugar skulls (not sure if that is a food or drink).

With the addon enabled and the "Warning of opening too early" set to ON, I just hit a target dummy, then go into my inventory and try to double click on any food and it just silently blocks eating/drinking without any popup or cooldown window and no chat message shows.

When I turn off the "Warning of opening too early", do a reloadui, I can now eat while in combat or if I disable the addon all together it allows to consume the food/drink while in combat.

And like I said, I removed my whole addon folder and the specific savedvariables config file, added a fresh new version of item cooldown tracker from minion and it behaved the same way. No other mod conflicts could have happened as there was no other mods installed.

Yes, a small aesthetic thing. I will fix it on the side.
