I'm not playing ESO any more, so I won't be updating this addon. Sorry!

SorcererHelper
An addon for sorcerers that gently reminds you to keep your minions and buffs up, and alerts you when your abilities (like Crystal Fragments) proc.

Features
  • Two types of icons: Reminders and Alerts, in two different windows
  • Alert icons are twice the size of Reminder icons
  • Reminders and Buffs can be individually turned on or off
  • Alerts display a countdown of seconds remaining
  • Option to hide reminders when in menus - New in 1.1.9!
  • Current Reminders:
    • Summons (Familiar/Clannfear and Winged Twilight)
    • Mage's Light
    • Bound Armor
  • Current Alerts:
    • Crystal Fragments
    • Surge
    • Lightning Form
    • Expert Hunter (experimental)
    • Daedric Curse - New in 1.1.9!
  • Does not load on non-sorcerer characters

Controls
  • Left-click and drag to reposition the windows (for Alerts, it's easiest to set "Show repositioning help" to ON in the settings)
  • You can turn off a feature if you do not want or need it in the settings panel

Known Issues
  • Expert Hunter tracking is experimental; it more than likely does nothing.
  • Crystal Fragments countdown does not reset if it re-procs - I can't think of a way to detect that.
  • Daedric Curse timer tracks from when it was cast, not from when it affects the target. As such, it might be off by a second or two depending on the distance to the target.

Expert Hunter Feedback

You've made playing my sorc so much easier, thank you. Responding to your request, "Expert Hunter tracking is experimental; I have no way of testing if it works, so please let me know if it does anything at all." It doesn't do anything at all.

It's trickier than it might seem

It's cast on a target, so it has both cast time and travel time before the timer should start. I have no problem starting a timer when you press the key to cast, but that sometimes makes it off by a full two seconds - not a great thing when the timer is supposed to be 3.5 seconds...

I'll keep working on it though

Wondering if I could make a request. The curse 2nd skill in summonings. Is there a way you can have a on screen notify for when the timmer is up? so I know when to recast it. I know it is only like 3.5 with velocious but it would help to remind me.

There's a known issue with the Crystal Fragments alert in that there's no way of catching when the buff re-procs (i.e. it procs again within the duration of a previous proc). In these cases, the alert will stay on-screen but with a zero timer (in 1.1.7) or a negative timer (in 1.1.8).

There's not much I can do about that unless someone can enlighten me on a way to detect CF re-procs.

I am getting that now to, but I can tell you why. It's counting down all buffs in increments of two instead of one. So Critical Surge is going 20, 18, 16, 14, etc and then gets to 0 and waits 10 sec cause there is still 10 sec left, but displays 0.

Boundless Storm and Crystal Fragments are also counting down by increments of two.

I found a bug that sometimes the time counter always show 0 (At least for dark crystal because I turned off all others). However, the window disappear correctly after the buff expire.

I will try to capture a screenshot next time.

Hmm, weird. I just went to check and now they hide when I open menus.

EDIT: Nevermind, it started doing it again. Yes, it disappears when the timer is up.

Again, thank you for the countdown on the icons! It helps a lot I think, but I found a bug!

I just found, picked, and looted a chest with the addon running, so I'm pretty sure this addon does NOT prevent picklock on chests.

Frankly, I don't see how it could, but stranger things have happened... Either way, it doesn't seem to be a problem for me.

Could you disable all other addons and try another chest?

It could be tracked by stat comparisons (current vs base), but the problem is that there's no way to tell where a stat increase comes from (I'm having that issue with Surge already - it pick(ed) up on Molten Weapons buffs as well as Surge itself), so it's... shaky at best.

I won't say no, but it's not at the top of the list.

Countdowns are implemented in 1.1.6 (which should clear approval shortly).

Thanks, this is so awesome

Do you know if there is a way to track something like circle of protection from the fighter's guild (it applies effects to the character but as far as I can tell the buff doesn't show up... but I am not sure what clever work arounds you are using and don't have time to go code delving right now)

Oh and a not at all important but if you get around to it request, can you add an option to right align the icons? I position the small "bar" on the right side of my compass and the OCD in me would love it if the icons lined up properly

Countdowns are implemented in 1.1.6 (which should clear approval shortly).
