This addon will improve your skills window. It introduces following changes:
- shows active abilities experience gained/total and percentage inside experience bars,
- the above applies also to skills,
- experience bars are slightly higher, so the internal labels are more visible,
- labels next to morphed active abilities include name of the root ability (in brackets),
- when mouse is over active ability experience bar 2 tooltips will appear: bottom one is the same as the icon's one and the other showing next rank informations,
- when mouse is over "+" button next to purchased passive ability another tooltip will appear showing upgrade information.
- the same tooltip will appear when the mouse is over purchased passive ability (in addition to the original tooltip),
- when mouse is over a purchased active ability two additional tooltips will appear. If the skill is not morphed they will show both morphs at morph rank. If the skill is after morph they will show next rank information in both morphs (so you will know what you are missing ).
- the checkbox in the skill window header allows you to disable/enable display of detailed skills progression

The addon is compatible with Shinni's SpentSkillPoints addon.

If you feel like doing it, you can follow the instructions in my post right before yours from April 16. You just have to change 3 lines in the addon file to get the tooltips to display side-by-side instead of on top of each other. This fixes the overlap.

MISSING DATA

Great addon, I've used it in the past... except now it's missing MORPH tooltips for certain abilities - in fact it's the very abilities I'm not familiar with which are the ones that are missing their morphs. Guard, Revealing Flare, Necrotic Orb, Trap Beast... So unfortunately that makes it rather useless for the moment, since the information I downloaded it for is the information that's missing.

Not sure if this addon is supposed to do this but if not maybe if can be added?

Currently I'm in the process of getting all skills on my character maxed (base skill and both morphs). I did a respec and I don't want to pick a skill morph that I already leveled. Is there a way for this addon to show basic skill level, morph one level and morph two level? So I can see which one is leveled and which one needs to be leveled? Also avoiding to pick one that it's already max level.

Lightbulb Morph Tooltip Overlap

Is there some way to keep the tooltips (HarvensSkillTooltipMorph1 and HarvensSkillTooltipMorph2) from overlapping? Perhaps have the morph tooltips appear side-by-side instead of one on top and one on bottom? Perhaps make it an option? The monitor I'm playing on atm is only 1440x900 resolution and the tooltips overlap so that I cannot read the top one easily. Here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about.

EDIT: I believe I managed to figure out how to get them to align to each other vertically, but there is still overlap when the tooltips are very large. The morph tooltips for Destruction Staff skill Destructive Touch are large tooltips that will not fit on my screen vertically without overlap, so side-by-side is the best method for me personally. Here is how I was able to get the morph tooltips to align horizontally to the left of the skill and what it looks like. I don't know that this is the best way to do it, but it works on my system. It's probably best to backup the file before editing it and do this at your own risk.

If you want to duplicate it, do this:
Open the file: HarvensImprovedSkillsWindow.lua located at C:\Users\<NAME>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\HarvensImprovedSkillsWindow
This is the path on my Windows 7 machine for the NA client. Yours could vary. Modify the following lines (61 and 63):

It would be nice to to see the morphs for yet unskilled skills as well.

Taking a skill often depends on the value of the morphed version, which one can't see so far.

Is it possible to show exact progress for both morphs (even when neither of them are active)? E.g. Morph 1 - (Rank 2, 55%) and Morph 2 - (Rank 3, 34%). In tooltips or somehow. Thanks!

The fact that the skill line's experience bar would still display text at 100% (unlike the individual skills' bars) was bugging me. I'm fairly clueless when it comes to coding so if someone has a better solution, please share! But, here's my attempt at a resolution in HarvensImprovedSkillsWindow.lua:

Could we see the morphs for an ability without having to purchase it and gain exp in it? For theory-crafting, or to help answer guildmates questions, etc.
Especially since it allows the players to see levelled morphs for skills they don't have enough experience to unlock yet, too.
Or is this not possible in the ESO system?
