by: L8Knight, haggen
Last Update: 2.2.2 (Mar 2 2019)

• Added compatibility with API 100026.
• Fixed Target's Health Bar re-positioning - it was appearing in the middle of the screen when the option was turned on.
• Updated setting's labels and tooltip for easier comprehension.

~~~
Slightly Improved™ Attribute Bars has received a major overhaul in version 2. Besides being now compatible with the latest version of the game, it leverages new built-in features, like displaying resource values over the your attribute bars, and adds new options.
★ Subtle visual enhancements to the Magicka, Health, and Stamina bars.
★ Switch target's Health bar position to the bottom of the screen, optionally only during combat.
★ Prevent the Health bar from fading while shield or damage absorption effect are active.
★ Displace Magicka, Health, and Stamina bars either further apart or closer together.
Please use the comment section and send me your feedback.
Slightly Improved™ add-ons:
Slightly Improved™ Attribute Bars
Slightly Improved™ Experience Bar
Slightly Improved™ Dialogues
Slightly Improved™ Gameplay
Slightly Improved™ Buff Tracking
This is just the addon PadUI, which reskins the PC user interface to look like the gamepad one. I don't have gamepad mode enabled. I didn't think it would affect the addon, but I also didn't try disabling it to see.
I did test 0 versus -80 though, and the bars definitely do shift over. Even the current maximum is near the edge of the screen, as you stated. If it's something in my UI making it look different than how yours it, I'm theorizing it would probably be the interface scaling setting.
edit: Disabled resolution scaling to see if that's it. With default resolution scale, I think it's exactly how it's supposed to look.
Seems it just doesn't like smaller interface scaling. I'm just throwing out a hypothesis here, but with an interface set larger than default, the bars might overlap at -80.
Thanks for the feature, by the way. I never liked how spaced apart ESO's resource bars are, and I don't like the modifications that make them stacked either. I've used Azurah just to push them closer together, like this addon does. Glad to see the feature here so I can use it!
Here are screenshots of how they look, my settings, and my resolution scale. I'm at 1920x1080 in borderless windowed.
Re: Attribute Bar Shift -300 to 300 ? (or more)
Question: Is it possible to increase the shift range from -300 to 300 or maybe even a greater range?
Thanks!
I'm glad you liked it! Not sure if it was you or someone else who mentioned the utility of this feature and I thought hell yea, how silly of me for taking it off in the first place! :P
Anyway, about the range; my reasoning is this: the minimum of -80 was because any closer than that would make the bars overlap each other, specially with food buffs and shield effects. Since the goal of the add-on is to play nice with the game and not deface it in any given circumstance I thought it was reasonable. Could you tell me why you would want them so much squeezed together? Now the farthest value was calculated based on a ultra wide screen, I compared the resolution with the one of a standard wide screen and figured how much far apart they have to be to take the extra horizontal space but still maintain the original aesthetics and weight in the overall image. The final result is they go almost to the edge of a regular wide screen. I could increase that, no problem, but it would help me best if you also told me about your use case. Preferably with screenshots, if you don't mind.
Seeing that you had problems before using this add-on I'm pretty something else is messing with your attribute bars. Try disabling add-ons that change the UI, one by one until you find the culprit.
i'd also like to request another feature - when the attribute bar is not set to be shown at all times have the health bar stay visible as long as a damage shield is active, so one can always see how much shield is still left and recast if needed.
right now the health bar often just disappear right after casting since there is no change in the hp value then anymore, but for tanks it's crutial to know to not wast resources.
Thank you! Those are great suggestions, I'll see about them in the next release. Just to recap:
1. Add an option to switch target health position between top and bottom only during combat.
2. Make sure your health doesn't fade out until you're actually out of shield.
Ok, so item 1 I'm pretty sure I can deliver, now item 2 might be a problem, but I'll look into it.
Welcome Amariel! You haven't done anything wrong, it's just the option to display text on the attribute bars are now built-in the game. You can access them by visiting Settings > Interface, I think. Hope that helps!
thx it was very helpful^^
Two Overlapping Stamina bars when mounted
For some reason when mounted I have two overlapping stamina bars. I don't have another attribute bar addon. The double bars disappear when I unmount.
The top bar is slightly longer than the bottom bar if that batters.
