It's a matter of taste. The result should be the same.
Potion Maker Extended and Potion Maker v4 have different implementations of features since Potion Maker Extended 1.3.0, the base of Potion Maker v4.

I'm sorry I haven't memorized all those icons, I don't make a zillion potions - I want it to say Health and Stamina not new icons to memorize.

That's the confusion - why fix what wasn't broken. Words I'm fine with -- leave them - make those ONLY ICONS an option not the default.

So for the v4.0, it's the same code at start, but with another interface with icons instead of texts (smaller ui so...). After, in function of tastes...

No, I have never ever had that issue.

But I'm assuming I'm the exception since this is my setup.

I do understand not everyone is running dual ASUS PA249's at 1920x1200 ... so I had not had location issues.

Words have culture variant length. You never know ether you waste space or even have enough.

Therefore you have tooltips and favorites. Move your mouse and you know in split a second.

Have you seen how huge the Potion Maker Exented UI is? You can not arrange it without covering something. For me, this was the reason to change/fix it.

It's because of updated LibMsgWin-1.0 r8 which is not campatible with older versions (it's never a good idea changing function names in library...).

Update LibMsgWin and change line 1655 in PotionMaker.lua from:
