Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.45
by: manavortex, AssemblerManiac
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex

I think we did not experience this as we had removed LibStub from the versions of IIfA, we are using locally, since months already
But you are right: there was a short time frame where the error happened.
Still the comments section shows that you guys need to calm down and just WAIT in the future...

Some lessons learned here, or "best practice" about addon error posting:
  1. Always stay friendly
  2. Check if dependencies need an update and update them WHILE YOU ARE LOGGED OUT of the game
  3. It's enough to post just ONCE the same problem!
Stop from adding comments like "I'm having the same issue" as it is not helping as long as you guys do not add additional info not provided in the other post. If the error message is the same, just WAIT.
This is no social media where you need/can to click on "I like"/"+1"...
  4. WAIT for someone to post a fix in the comments or the addon get's updated

Polluting the addon comments with the same error messages, same posts and other chat while the devs need INFO to fix something is a bad habbit you should refrain from using please.
Just post the error message, at best a LibDebugLogger file (link)+ date&time the error message happens and is visible in that file, and info how to reproduce the error (very important! Sentences like "getting this error" won't help a lot. Tell us WHEN you get this error, and what you did before getting it).

With that info provided you just need to lean back and wait for a fix or a message by the author who is asking for more details maybe. Or a community fix via the comments.
But please: Keep the comments clean so one can find the "really interesting error message and how to get to it" simply!
Thanks

This wasn't true for about 3 hours and 41 minutes. LibAsync removed supported for LibStub on July 31, 2020 @ 1948 UTC. Iventory insight updated on Aug 1, 2020 @ 1129 to remove the use of LibStub.

For that brief period, if you updated your LibAsync to 2.2.0 (as I did via Minion) Inventory Insight would not work without either rolling back LibAsync, modifying Inventory Insight's lua, or including a standalone copy of the other LibAsync in Inventory Insight's folder.

You probably didn't experience this because by the time you updated LibAsync, Inventory Insight had already updated and removed LibStub use and you updated them all at once and they just worked.

Thanks for the official update!

As a reminder to all who used my quickfix, it is probably best to manually delete the entire IIfA addon folder and re-install a fresh copy to ensure the quickfix got properly overwritten.

Fix works excellent.

Thank you very much.

Firstly I recovered my backup of Inventory insight > don't works. Then I looked for updated files in Minion > found LibAsync. Checked Inventory Insight > depends on it. Oha.
Restored LibAsync from Backup > works. But then I have to read that Votan's addons don't work with old LibAsync ... I hate such things. More than 1 hour spend for nothing.

But your workaround made my day. Thx a lot!

Thank you so much for the quick fix! Worked like a charm!

TagCdog, I like your workaround, since it allows Votan's Minimap etc. to work properly without resorted to more rollbacks.

Thanks.

Edit: This quickfix works and allows you to keep both LibAsync 2.2.0 (or whatever is most recent) and 2.1.0 (required to keep Inventory Insight 3.30 properly working).

1) Install the most recent version of LibAsync as you would normally.

2) Manually download the 2.1.0 version of LibAsync.

3) Extract the 2.1.0 LibAsync folder to Inventory Insight's libs subfolder (\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\IIfA\libs\LibAsync).

4 - option a) Then edit \Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\IIfA\IIfA.txt accordingly:

Add this line below line 13:
Code:
libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua
Remove LibAsync from the DependsOn section (on line 7).

***OR***

4 - option b) Open IIfA.txt and replace the contents with this (I did the edits mentioned above for you):
Code:
## Title: Inventory Insight
## Author: manavortex, AssemblerManiac
## Version: 3.30
## AddOnVersion: 30030
## APIVersion: 100029 100030
## SavedVariables: IIfA_Settings IIfA_Data
## DependsOn: LibStub LibCustomMenu LibAddonMenu-2.0
## OptionalDependsOn: libFilters pChat FCOItemSaver

; pChat is optional dependency because it should be loaded BEFORE any other addon so it provides
; load time debugging

libs/LibCustomTitles/LibCustomTitles.lua
libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua

IIfA.xml
Bindings.xml
CharCurrencyTooltip.lua
CharBagSpaceTooltip.lua
IIfA.lua
Bindings.lua
IIfASettingsAdapter.lua
IIfAEvents.lua
IIfATooltip.lua
IIfABackpack.lua
IIfASceneFuncs.lua
IIfAMenu.lua
IIfADataCollection.lua
IIfA_xml_adapter.lua
plugins/FCOIS/IIfA_FCOIS.lua

Unfortunately, if you rollback LibAsync to 2.1.0 it breaks Votan's other addons, including Votan's Minimap, which was also updated today. So you have to rollback all of Votan's addons with dependencies on LibAsync if you rollback the library to get Iventory Insight working again.

Inventory Insight uses LibAsync.
Same issue for me. I posted about this issue on Votan's LibAsync comments section a few minutes ago.
