Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)
  • Tracks information separately between NA and EU

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex
3.67

- Updated for U41

3.66

- Update to address resizeToFitDescendents warnings

3.65

- Update to address regression for subcategory dropdown
- Removed MRL support

Because of those that do not wish to help find the mod causing the conflict I removed the MRL support. I can't troubleshoot it because I'm not using the same mods as those with the issue. It would have been nice to know which mod was causing the issue. I especially can't without a LibDebugLogger file that was created while they had the issue.

The necrom update has some bugs in it anyway that will do things as simple as break resizing windows. The fixes for some of these issues won't be included until the next incremental or update 39. So removing the MRL code will be helpful so that after the release of Necrom when someone realizes something is broken I won't have to hear people complain about it when the user has the issue because of other mods causing the conflict.

3.64

- Fix for Search inventories from Chat
- Jewellery no longer shows up when filtering armor

3.63

- Added tooltip to Deconstruction assistants

3.62

- Fix for moc with Lazy Set Crafter

3.61

- Update to tooltip localization for weapons

3.56, 3.58, 3.59, 3.60

- Update to address possible mismatching of items from any list of items
- Added nil checks for AGS when data rows are temporarily empty or switching between a guild that has listed items for sale and one that doesn't

The tooltip should be correct now for outdated mouse over controls. Added controls include Furniture Catalogue and CraftStore.

3.55

- Update to address possible mismatching of items when you right click on the UI from other mods like Awesome Guild Store

3.54

- Fix for Honestaly's report that the search box no longer works

3.53

- Pre PTS version

3.52

- Fix for IIfA: Search inventories issue that Neverlands reported

3.51

- Update to make the Up and Down arrow buttons for the scroll bar work to scroll the list because previously that was not defined.
- Holding Shift while clicking the Up or Down arrows or while scrolling the mouse will move the list by an increment of 10. Basically a Page Up/Page Down.
- Inventory Insight will no longer display the count for the last item viewed in the main UI for items in the MM window. Meaning if you looked at Acai Berries and had 1000 of them in your craft bag, everything in the MM window had 1000 for the tooltip. This only applied to new views and lists that didn't previously exist.
- You can now right click items to link the MM price from the Inventory Insight window

3.50

- Reworked tooltip font routines for quickc's report
- Updated TLC in xml because of ZOS changes so currency and bag space popup isn't under the Inventory Insight window

This mod had never had Companion support. So you aren't doing anything wrong.

epends if you're also changing the quality dropdown "Worn" option to only filter for actual equipped items. If not, then it might be better to just remove that option in the dropdown since basic outfits are not technically "armour" as they offer no defensive stats and lack quality
As I mentioned it translates to every supported language including Chinese and any unofficial language that has been translated. It only creates confusion in English to you because you speak English.

In Spanish the verb for spend is gastar. So is the item Spent, or Desgastado? To say something is Spent is a term that can mean that the item is of no use anymore because it's worn out or used up.

I've run through my listed armour items and all those marked as "Worn" with a * icon appear to be correct on my account. So while I can confirm that this function works okay for me, perhaps you have seen something that suggests otherwise.

Also, I think changing the word "worn" to "equipped" makes more sense, although it depends if you're also changing the quality dropdown "Worn" option to only filter for actual equipped items. If not, then it might be better to just remove that option in the dropdown since basic outfits are not technically "armour" as they offer no defensive stats and lack quality, I think it just creates confusion. There is already a "Vanity" suboption to filter for when you select "Armor" which should be enough. I imagine not many players stock up on "vanity" items anyway, they waste space and are not as visually appealing as actual costumes/mofits/styles which do not consume inventory space.

You know what's even funnier I was checking some potential improvements, and I don't think the markers actually mark the items that you are wearing properly. So I'm looking into that. There is a unique ID for different items that makes it separate so that if you have three helmets you might have one that has divines on it say a Hat of Mother's sorrow and the other item is a hat of mother sorrow but it's got impen on it or maybe training and it's not the desirable trait.

Either way I think I'm going to change it to equipped. While I have very little knowledge of the code base because I'm not the original author, I am looking into some things.

There could be other reasons. ZOS often does not need to do things that users might feel is needed. So when there is a function provided to mod authors like these.

Code:
* GetItemLinkFunctionalQuality(*string* _itemLink_)
** _Returns:_ *[ItemQuality|#ItemQuality]* _functionalQuality_

* GetItemLinkDisplayQuality(*string* _itemLink_)
** _Returns:_ *[ItemDisplayQuality|#ItemDisplayQuality]* _displayQuality_
To a user it would make sense to return something other then 0 or nil for items.

Given that 0 may be something returned for no reason, or because it is not defined then it will be confusing when combined with SI_ITEMDISPLAYQUALITY .. 0 to make SI_ITEMDISPLAYQUALITY0, which is worn. When it's not Worn but ZOS didn't assign a quality. This is when authors have to make special conditions for things that don't make sense. Whith tens of thousands of items I don't want to do that.

You aren't asking for that but I'm just explaining that when things don't make sense it's because there are other filters from the default system that ZOS may use that does not carry over to the functions that they provide authors.

hmm odd, Google translates "Desgastado" to "Worn-out" which almost suggests "broken" armour, but from your 2nd image it looks like those are in-world outfits and disguises that you find in baskets for missions or sometimes get as rewards from writs but end up selling because they're a waste of inventory space. The word "Worn" is an odd choice by ZoS, not only because it has more than one meaning, but because it does not seem to apply to generic outfit items, like dresses and bandit disguises.

For Fun I loaded the game in Spanish.

I have items that have the quality level of 0, or Worn to show it is working as intended. As mentioned it has never been anything else because I'm not going to change that kind of functionality at this time. I'm planing on updating things because of the reports of delayed updating of inventory information but I have not done anything drastic as of yet.

Oh wait, that's funny. I am very sorry. I will not be changing that because it is an internal string that auto translates between all the languages. It just happens to be Worn in English.

I am making the mod able to be translated and for strings that are already part of the game I use those like GetString(SOME_ZOS_THING). I found where I added the translated string, it was Junk in the past.

The way to understand that is it is the "Quality" drop-down, not the whether or not my character has it equipped drop-down. It means "Worn" as in the Grey quality of Quality. The Junk category. It's not a mixed drop down for extra convenience that shows both what you or your other characters are "Wearing" or "Quality".

If you go to a crafting station or other place and there is a "Worn" category that mod provides that or it is part of ZOS and they may be using Worn to mean equipped. Mods can add anything to the UI if the author wants to and if it's available to the API.

I haven't changed anything in regards to that. I have been getting reports that certain items don't show up. When I go to test things I see the same overall affect the user is reporting. The only difference is that I see the proper totals eventually. Again I haven't done anything to that.

I have been noticing that zos is making information unavailable to users until you do something first. For example say an author wants to provide specific PVP information once somebody logs into the game. Because that's a burden on the server that information isn't available unless the person opens the user interface for PVP.

So while I understand your concern and you're just simply making comparisons between versuons I'm not changing any of what you are reporting.

As I mentioned to a user previously because I do believe there are changes being made even if they're very subtle or they affect things in such a way that it delays the total being updated, I'm going to look into it when I have time but unfortunately I can't tell you when that will be.
