Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)
  • Tracks information separately between NA and EU

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex
3.67

- Updated for U41

3.66

- Update to address resizeToFitDescendents warnings

3.65

- Update to address regression for subcategory dropdown
- Removed MRL support

Because of those that do not wish to help find the mod causing the conflict I removed the MRL support. I can't troubleshoot it because I'm not using the same mods as those with the issue. It would have been nice to know which mod was causing the issue. I especially can't without a LibDebugLogger file that was created while they had the issue.

The necrom update has some bugs in it anyway that will do things as simple as break resizing windows. The fixes for some of these issues won't be included until the next incremental or update 39. So removing the MRL code will be helpful so that after the release of Necrom when someone realizes something is broken I won't have to hear people complain about it when the user has the issue because of other mods causing the conflict.

3.64

- Fix for Search inventories from Chat
- Jewellery no longer shows up when filtering armor

3.63

- Added tooltip to Deconstruction assistants

3.62

- Fix for moc with Lazy Set Crafter

3.61

- Update to tooltip localization for weapons

3.56, 3.58, 3.59, 3.60

- Update to address possible mismatching of items from any list of items
- Added nil checks for AGS when data rows are temporarily empty or switching between a guild that has listed items for sale and one that doesn't

The tooltip should be correct now for outdated mouse over controls. Added controls include Furniture Catalogue and CraftStore.

3.55

- Update to address possible mismatching of items when you right click on the UI from other mods like Awesome Guild Store

3.54

- Fix for Honestaly's report that the search box no longer works

3.53

- Pre PTS version

3.52

- Fix for IIfA: Search inventories issue that Neverlands reported

3.51

- Update to make the Up and Down arrow buttons for the scroll bar work to scroll the list because previously that was not defined.
- Holding Shift while clicking the Up or Down arrows or while scrolling the mouse will move the list by an increment of 10. Basically a Page Up/Page Down.
- Inventory Insight will no longer display the count for the last item viewed in the main UI for items in the MM window. Meaning if you looked at Acai Berries and had 1000 of them in your craft bag, everything in the MM window had 1000 for the tooltip. This only applied to new views and lists that didn't previously exist.
- You can now right click items to link the MM price from the Inventory Insight window

3.50

- Reworked tooltip font routines for quickc's report
- Updated TLC in xml because of ZOS changes so currency and bag space popup isn't under the Inventory Insight window

Since we aren't running into that particular error - could you copy the LibAsync folder from PotionMaker/libs into the other AddOns (or just replace the file) and see if it still happens?
Another option would be a) a clean reinstall, or b) a saved variable wipe.
Got it. I didn't know if that was even safe to do; if the library changed significantly between those versions, then it might break the legacy calls to it, or so I thought. I'll try it, with backups.

It might - I hadn't noticed votan had updated, since the library is only released on an in-Potion-Maker-base. If it doesn't, please let us know, so we can test further!
Wait, that am I supposed to do next?

Further survey of my installed and active mods shows that four make use of LibAsync: Inventory Insight, Potion Maker, and Furniture Catalogue; Votan's Minimap also uses it, but I merely have it installed and it is not enabled. So the three mods that I described earlier are the only ones that appear to be involved, assuming an issue with LibAsync is the proximal cause. There's a fifth mod that seems to reference and use LibAsync, if it exists independently, without embedding a copy: Harven's AS to LAM adapter. However, that mod like Votan's Minimap is merely installed and not enabled; I could never get it to work as intended to move Votan's mods' settings into Settings | Addons proper.

And my original suspicion about the cause still rings true: of those four mods that use LibAsync, there are three distinct versions being used. IIfA uses the oldest version, 1.4; Potion Maker uses the newest, 1.7; and both Furniture Catalogue and Votan's Minimap use version 1.6 (which is curious because it was hinted earlier that Votan was the author of LibAsync).

I've looked for LibAsync at ESOUI.com, and it doesn't appear to be listed as a distinct mod, so I don't have the option of trying to install an independent copy of the latest version to see what effect that has. That also denies me a logical place to extend this conversation.

Would "syncing" the version of LibAsync used by these mods correct the issue?

After leaving IIfA enabled but disabling PotionMaker, I still received an error when accessing a guild bank but the error has changed:

user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:35: user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfADataCollection.lua:109: table index is nil
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfADataCollection.lua:109: in function '(anonymous)'
(tail call): ?
[C]: in function 'pcall'
user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:21: in function 'DoCallback'
user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:49: in function 'DoJob'
user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:99: in function 'Scheduler'
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'error'
user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:35: in function 'DoCallback'
user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:49: in function 'DoJob'
user:/AddOns/FurnitureCatalogue/libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:99: in function 'Scheduler'
So now it appears to implicate Furniture Catalogue instead, but is that really the culprit? I doubt it! What next if I also disable Furniture Catalogue? How deep does this rabbit hole go, Alice?

Curiously, it's only when IIfA is added to this LibAsync stack that things go awry: with both PotionMaker and Furniture Catalogue (and however many others using LibAsync) enabled everything is fine with no errors, but IIfA breaks the camel's back. Why?

I re-enabled IIfA out of curiosity and received this error when interacting with a guild bank of all places:

user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:35: user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfADataCollection.lua:109: table index is nil
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfADataCollection.lua:109: in function '(anonymous)'
(tail call): ?
[C]: in function 'pcall'
user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:21: in function 'DoCallback'
user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:49: in function 'DoJob'
user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:100: in function 'Scheduler'
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'error'
user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:35: in function 'DoCallback'
user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:49: in function 'DoJob'
user:/AddOns/PotionMaker/Libs/LibAsync/LibAsync.lua:100: in function 'Scheduler'
This is the error that I mentioned earlier that caused me to disable IIfA. It seems to revolve around LibAsync; if I recall from my brief examination at the time, there was a mismatch in the versions of it that IIfA and PotionMaker were using. I stopped receiving the error entirely after disabling IIfA. I did not try disabling PotionMaker at the time instead; I was rushed and made a value judgement that PotionMaker was more crucial to me. I will try that. Would installing LibAsync independently have some positive effect?

This seems like sarcasm, but I don't know what warranted it; I don't understand the mention of Votan, either.
No, by no means, it wasn't. The most common library error is caused by one of votan's little helpers, so people see "votan" in the stack trace and run straight to him. Sorry for not being clear enough.

I agree with your sentiment towards the AdvancedFilters. I've been meaning to hack into that at some point - it's fairly simple, actually, to create own filters, though. I hacked up a filter for trait researchables - I think I used unique/not unique as blueprint. It's just changing around of a few names and variables, and returning the right value from the function.

Kudos for correctly identifying a library error instead of bugging poor votan! The error should be gone by now, at least I haven't ran into IIfA-related errors in forever.
This seems like sarcasm, but I don't know what warranted it; I don't understand the mention of Votan, either. My comment was in response to Baertram's announcement that he had integrated FCOItemSaver with IIfA, and that made me recall my wish that AutoCategory rules had worked with it. While I also use FCOItemSaver, if I had to choose which should have representation in IIfA it would be AutoCategory.

I should have reported the errors at the time, but it was months ago, I was very new to the game and even newer to its mods, and I was still trying to figure out my workflow. All I knew was that the error seemed to point to a library version mismatch in IIfA and disabling IIfA - that acronym confuses me - caused the errors to stop.

I've briefly checked out autocat myself, but for me, the categorisation was far too aggressive. The code for IIfA is on github though, so if you want to hack it in, you're welcome to send us a pull request.
If by aggressive you mean computationally intensive, I agree, but the result is worth the wait for me. The alternative, Advanced Filters, is inflexible unless one knows how to write "plugins" for it, which I don't yet, and then there's the limited header space and the need for inscrutable icons whose purpose I can't always remember; the textual categories of AutoCategory aren't inscrutable. I do know how to alter the rules and rule precedence for AutoCategory, which lets me bend the result to my weird needs. I actually use both at different times, but I have no plugins for AF. Figuring out how to integrate one mod into another's code is also not something I can do yet, and even though I think I have a Github account, I don't even comprehend exactly what a "pull request" is. I have certainly never made one.

I suppose the underlying reason I wasn't compelled to report the error at the time and do what was necessary to make it work was that I'd realized it wasn't (yet) important to the way I was playing the game. I installed it because I anticipated the need, but I was perhaps premature. Eventually I know I will need it again. If it's not working for me then, I won't just silently disable it.

I stopped using Inventory Insight a while back because it was causing library-related errors for me and it lacked integration with AutoCategory. It was frustrating scrolling through such large lists of items without the expected organization of them, and the error was too much icing.

If anyone wants to test it IIfA + FCOItemSaver compatible versions

-Added marker icons context menu to IIfA rows
-Added marker icons shown within IIfA inventory frame
Updates within IIfA frame will update the inventory/character screen too if shown at the same time (scene)
but updates on the character/inventories done via FCOIS won't update automatically within IIfA frame! You need to scroll the mouse in the IIfA frame and it gets updated automatically then.
-Tooltips within IIfA frame are not shown yet
--> You need to enable the FCOIS integration within IIfA in the IIfA LAM settings (scroll to the bottom)
If you find any bugs please tell me :-)

Edit:
Updated the files and fixed:
-Worn armor parts get updated at the clicked part now and not ALL worn items show the marker icon afterwards
-Removed debug text messages
-Added tooltips

Known problems:
-If icons demark other icons automatically the automatically demarked icons are still shown until you scroll within IIfA list, and
tooltips do not update until scroll as well in that case
