Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)
  • Tracks information separately between NA and EU

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex
3.67

- Updated for U41

3.66

- Update to address resizeToFitDescendents warnings

3.65

- Update to address regression for subcategory dropdown
- Removed MRL support

Because of those that do not wish to help find the mod causing the conflict I removed the MRL support. I can't troubleshoot it because I'm not using the same mods as those with the issue. It would have been nice to know which mod was causing the issue. I especially can't without a LibDebugLogger file that was created while they had the issue.

The necrom update has some bugs in it anyway that will do things as simple as break resizing windows. The fixes for some of these issues won't be included until the next incremental or update 39. So removing the MRL code will be helpful so that after the release of Necrom when someone realizes something is broken I won't have to hear people complain about it when the user has the issue because of other mods causing the conflict.

3.64

- Fix for Search inventories from Chat
- Jewellery no longer shows up when filtering armor

3.63

- Added tooltip to Deconstruction assistants

3.62

- Fix for moc with Lazy Set Crafter

3.61

- Update to tooltip localization for weapons

3.56, 3.58, 3.59, 3.60

- Update to address possible mismatching of items from any list of items
- Added nil checks for AGS when data rows are temporarily empty or switching between a guild that has listed items for sale and one that doesn't

The tooltip should be correct now for outdated mouse over controls. Added controls include Furniture Catalogue and CraftStore.

3.55

- Update to address possible mismatching of items when you right click on the UI from other mods like Awesome Guild Store

3.54

- Fix for Honestaly's report that the search box no longer works

3.53

- Pre PTS version

3.52

- Fix for IIfA: Search inventories issue that Neverlands reported

3.51

- Update to make the Up and Down arrow buttons for the scroll bar work to scroll the list because previously that was not defined.
- Holding Shift while clicking the Up or Down arrows or while scrolling the mouse will move the list by an increment of 10. Basically a Page Up/Page Down.
- Inventory Insight will no longer display the count for the last item viewed in the main UI for items in the MM window. Meaning if you looked at Acai Berries and had 1000 of them in your craft bag, everything in the MM window had 1000 for the tooltip. This only applied to new views and lists that didn't previously exist.
- You can now right click items to link the MM price from the Inventory Insight window

3.50

- Reworked tooltip font routines for quickc's report
- Updated TLC in xml because of ZOS changes so currency and bag space popup isn't under the Inventory Insight window

As of yesterdays patch, II seems to be mostl working, except sometimes when searching for items it doesn't show results from all characters. I haven't been able to nail down anything more specific than this, sorry.

OK thanks for the heads up!

Lua Error

Hi,

Not sure if this is your addon, but I often get this LUA error (about 2-3 times a week) when I use the key 'E' to deposit items in my bank. The E key then becomes disabled until I relog but can still deposit by double clicking item.

EsoUI/Ingame/Inventory/InventorySlot.lua:728: Attempt to access a private function 'PickupInventoryItem' from insecure code. The callstack became untrusted 3 stack frame(s) from the top.
stack traceback:
EsoUI/Ingame/Inventory/InventorySlot.lua:728: in function 'TryBankItem'
EsoUI/Ingame/Inventory/InventorySlot.lua:1522: in function 'INDEX_ACTION_CALLBACK'
EsoUI/Ingame/Inventory/InventorySlotActions.lua:96: in function 'ZO_InventorySlotActionsoPrimaryAction'
EsoUI/Ingame/Inventory/ItemSlotActionController.lua:30: in function 'callback'
EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_KeybindStrip/ZO_KeybindStrip.lua:615: in function 'ZO_KeybindStrip:TryHandlingKeybindDown'
(tail call): ?
(tail call): ?

Apologies for troubling you if this isn't caused by your addon, but wasn't sure how to identify which addon was causing this error

Edit: Just to make clear, the E key still works fine for all functions except depositing items

One of the checks in the system is whether you have ESO+, so it knows to not gather/display data that doesn't exist.

You do raise a good point though, in that you can still have items in the craftbag, but not have the ability to put in more. We'll see about making it show what's in there again.

Otherwise, its a great addon!! I use it to check what i have on which of my chars and such...

Thank you for making it!

Tracking items in houses

I can see why someone would want this feature. TBH, I'd love to have it as well. However, since houses are by definition not a bag it would require some restructuring that isn't entirely trivial.

We're aware of the feature and haven't forgotten it!

I would love this feature as well! I logged into ESOUI to request this feature too

Hello there,
the AddOns who do it automatically leave it all under your control - you can define exactly what and what not should be handled Check out Dustman.
I will look into that when I find the time. Unfortunately, both AssemblerManiac and I are working full time - means, a lot less time for AddOn development. But InventoryInsight will see some attention before the PTS hits live!

I can see how that makes sense - I would have to check how complicated it is to hack that in. It's definitely a feature for the to-do list.

You and me both. Unfortunately, in the way the SavedVariables work, that's... more complicated than it sounds. I'll pester ZOS about that again, but for now this can't be implemented.

regards,

A couple of requests please.

1) I'd like to ignore/not track, by character, equipped weapons/gear. I have no interest in tracking or viewing my mule equipped armor and seeing it displayed in the IIfA window/tooltip.

2) I use this addon with 2 accounts on the same machine (not running at the same time). This means all the inventory data from both accounts is in SavedVariables, but the addon isn't multi-account aware. I'd like the ability to view/search inventory and see location tooltip info from my multiple accounts regardless of which account is logged in. Asset info such as bag space, gold, TV, etc. is optional.

Thanks for considering.

Miscellaneous, Trash Tab

Hi,

I just wondered if the "Miscellaneous, Trash Tab" equated to the "Junk Tab" in a chars bag.

If so I never seem to find anything there even though I know there are items in a characters bag marked as Junk and I had forgotten to delete.

I think being able to see which char stil has items to delete would be very useful.

Thanks

Edit: I know there are addons to auto filter and delete junk for you but I prefer the manual method then all is under my control

They will only be initialized inside a home. Other than that, they are more bag Ids to iterate over.

We are very firmly planning to put this in ourselves, since we want to use it ourselves. Don't worry.

Yes, it will. I'm just not sure in what manner it will be supported (I need to leave my machine running tonight to update PTS so I can see how it works).

I tried to find if any other addon did this but, I could not find one.

Thank you for all your work!
I just came here to request the same thing, after discovering--to my surprise--that there isn't already an add-on for tracking placed furnishings.
Hey there,
I totally get where you're coming from, and would love to implement that. However, due to how the AddOn is working now that's... difficult-ish.
If we're all lucky I'll find the time to hack it in between the years!
