Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)
  • Tracks information separately between NA and EU

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex
3.67

- Updated for U41

3.66

- Update to address resizeToFitDescendents warnings

3.65

- Update to address regression for subcategory dropdown
- Removed MRL support

Because of those that do not wish to help find the mod causing the conflict I removed the MRL support. I can't troubleshoot it because I'm not using the same mods as those with the issue. It would have been nice to know which mod was causing the issue. I especially can't without a LibDebugLogger file that was created while they had the issue.

The necrom update has some bugs in it anyway that will do things as simple as break resizing windows. The fixes for some of these issues won't be included until the next incremental or update 39. So removing the MRL code will be helpful so that after the release of Necrom when someone realizes something is broken I won't have to hear people complain about it when the user has the issue because of other mods causing the conflict.

3.64

- Fix for Search inventories from Chat
- Jewellery no longer shows up when filtering armor

3.63

- Added tooltip to Deconstruction assistants

3.62

- Fix for moc with Lazy Set Crafter

3.61

- Update to tooltip localization for weapons

3.56, 3.58, 3.59, 3.60

- Update to address possible mismatching of items from any list of items
- Added nil checks for AGS when data rows are temporarily empty or switching between a guild that has listed items for sale and one that doesn't

The tooltip should be correct now for outdated mouse over controls. Added controls include Furniture Catalogue and CraftStore.

3.55

- Update to address possible mismatching of items when you right click on the UI from other mods like Awesome Guild Store

3.54

- Fix for Honestaly's report that the search box no longer works

- Pre PTS version

3.52

- Fix for IIfA: Search inventories issue that Neverlands reported

3.51

- Update to make the Up and Down arrow buttons for the scroll bar work to scroll the list because previously that was not defined.
- Holding Shift while clicking the Up or Down arrows or while scrolling the mouse will move the list by an increment of 10. Basically a Page Up/Page Down.
- Inventory Insight will no longer display the count for the last item viewed in the main UI for items in the MM window. Meaning if you looked at Acai Berries and had 1000 of them in your craft bag, everything in the MM window had 1000 for the tooltip. This only applied to new views and lists that didn't previously exist.
- You can now right click items to link the MM price from the Inventory Insight window

3.50

- Reworked tooltip font routines for quickc's report
- Updated TLC in xml because of ZOS changes so currency and bag space popup isn't under the Inventory Insight window

Or when saving/deconstructing/vendoring gear, it'd be great to have a quick way to check if I have this gear piece already in the same or better trait, ideally via a keybind for efficiency or at least the right-click context menu. Or to further improve upon this, a second option to quickly filter for the set of the item.

Optimally this would also work on items linked in chat, so you could quickly check if you need the divine piece your teammate got.
Interesting concept. Are you talking about filtering for an item that's an exact match, matched by name, by trait, by level? All of these things matter since storage of the items is by item link, and fishing out all the pieces to do partial compares is messy, and not very speed friendly.
I'm thinking, you could just take the name of the item in question and prefill the filter field with the name, that way it'd show you all "Jack of the Two-Fanged Snake" pieces you have, in all traits. Then another option maybe, to filter for the set name "Twice-Fanged Serpent" in-case you have any unique pieces of the set that wouldn't show up by name, or you just want to see which all pieces of the set you have.

That'd do the trick, and I imagine not too difficult to implement in this fashion.

A lot of the time I find myself typing in names of items that I'm looking at in my inventory, wishing there was a faster way to check if I want to keep it or not, based on what I already have.

No problem, thanks for the feedback SilverWF.

Each "not needed" functionality was added upon request and because I like and use a lot of them
The lag is happening only once for me after a login, and as there are many other addons that work together with FCOIS (or simply scan the inventory even without FCOIS) it's probably like Manavortex said: Its a combination of several addons.
If I simply enabled FCOIS as a standalone I got a hardly noticeable lag upon opening my inventory.

Sadly, I dislike FCOIS - it's overweighted addon with ****ton of extremely hard and not really needed functions. I even have a lag in opening backpack with it. Basically - it's a huge overkill for me to use that addon.

Anyway, thx for answer!

It's FCOIS in combination with certain gear managers that is causing the lag. It's not the only culprit.
Also, overhaul is in progress. I wouldn't want to live without.

ItemSaver appears to use bag/slot to store an items "save" status. IIfA uses itemlinks to store it's item data, and an item might exist in more than one place, so there's no way that I can find to use ItemSavers markers.

I added this after the local variable declarations.

Effectively when you have the inventory window open with the Inventory Insight window side-by-side, you are then able to mouse-over the items in your inventory and it immediately triggers a search based on the item name.

I'm sure there's better ways of achieving this, but it really helps me locate all my items regardless of traits or styles without typing names.

Thanks again for this mod and I hope you aren't offended by my local mod method, however I thought it might be useful for others.

Interesting solution, doesn't bother me at all. Just don't forget to put it back in after you get an update, or you'll be wondering why it suddenly stopped working.

Say I get a potentially useful piece of gear like a Divines or Impen piece of a good set, and someone asks me for this item. I want to check if I already have it.

I would like to know if you would consider having an option to toggle ignore styles when showing the tooltip for how many items of the item and trait you have elsewhere. For example if I have 6 rings of willpower, it currently might not show this as they aren't all the same trait.

If you aren't really wanting to make this modification generally, would you mind offering a pointer where best to make this change locally.

Thanks for your efforts, it's a great mod to share with the community.

This isn't something I can see as a general option. The items in IIFA are tracked by their itemlink, which contains the style/trait info. What you're asking would require re-writing the item link for armor/weaps/jewelry and removing the style and/or trait info completely.

If you have this off, and later decide you do want to see the info, then every item would need to be re-indexed, requiring login to each character/guild banks to get the info again, and might also cause orphan items to get stuck in the list.

I can't offer any good suggestions on trying this at the moment. It would require changes in multiple places, and function(s) that don't yet exist.

No worries, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Now I understand that the itemlink contains style and trait, I can appreciate the scale of what i'm asking, I'll see if I can add a drop-down option for the item that populates the Inventory Insight item search to save typing each item for example.

Thanks for your help,

Kith

It wouldn't be that easy to do. The filters all work on actual item attributes. "Worn" isn't a status I can easily test for filtering.

There IS an indicator of items being worn, it's the * to the left of the item icon. If you choose All Characters, and Armor, you'll end up with a small enough list that you should be able to see what you're looking for.
Except my mules are carrying a lot of armor they aren't wearing, which is why an "equipped" filter would be nice. Same situation for weapons and jewelry.
