Simple Combat Alerts  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.0.5
by: Dio [More]
Simple Combat Alerts replaces the default Active Combat Tips with less cluttered and customizable tips.

Alerts are prioritized in the following order:

Block -> Off Balance (Shows after blocking or interrupting) -> Interrupt -> Dodge

Features

  • Customize the text, font, size, style, and color of each alert.
  • Unlock and position the alert anywhere on the screen.

Notes

  • You must enable Active Combat Tips under "Settings -> Interface" for SCA to work. Set Active Combat Tips to "Always Show" for optimal usage.

Possible upcoming features

  • Three new alerts: Low Enemy Health, Low Ally Health, and Low Player Health. (Status - Almost done)
  • Show alerts only if in combat, and/or if a unit is targeted. Sometimes Active Combat Tips show up even if not in combat or targeting a nearby enemy. This would solve that.
Version 1.0.5-Fix

- Reuploaded. OS X sort of messed up the folder structure of the archive.

Version 1.0.5

- New options: You can now unlock SCA and move it to your liking, and it will save its new position.
- Various code refactoring.

Version 1.0.4

- SCA now has configuration options under "Settings -> SCA". For each alert you may change font face, size, color, etc.

Version 1.0.3

- SCA now has a better fixed position, and will stay there even if the Custom Scale or screen resolution changes.

Version 1.0.2

- Renamed addon from "Simple Combat Tips" to "Simple Combat Alerts".
- Actively enforce the SCA TopLevelWindow to stay above all others.

Version 1.0.1

- Fixed text center anchoring problem. I only tested 1 resolution and didn't notice it!

When alert show on your screen (dodge, block or something else) and you teleport in that time (go to dungeon or somewhere else), that alert never disappear.

Fix

You should fix this if you can. When a mob is casting a spell, instead of it saying dodge, it should say interrupt. So you can stun the target. Please, an thank you.

Thank you.
Which ability is execute? I've only played sorcerer. If it's an ability only one class has I won't add it. If it's a weapon skill then I may add it.

Edit:

Is this what you're referring to?

http://esohead.com/skills/39957-executioner

Are there any other abilities like this that trigger on low %? Also ESOHEAD says it's 25% not 20%.
Hey I would love to see this as well. There are several skills that would use this and it would prove as a very nice option. Reverse Slash, Whirlwind, Assassin's Blade could all benefit from an Execute alert. Out of curiosity, would it be at all possible to add some sort of sound to go off when an alert goes off?

German Client

Sorry, my english is bad ... but i try ...

Every time i'm logging in I get "too many anchors processed" errors while using Addons "mhFramework" together with "SimpleCombatAlerts".

No "too many anchors processed" error while disabeling "SimpleCombatAlerts" addons, if I disable mhFramework and enable "SimpleCombatAlerts" there are running without "too many anchors processed" error too.

There are compatibility-Problems? Or "SimpleCombatAlerts" bugged?

I considered icons when creating the addon, as optional or additional to text. I will probably implement this in a near future version.

Does this also include the Synergy information when someone has used a synergy ability and you're prompted for it?

Thankjs for the great addon.
I want to do sound alerts, but the API has very limited sounds. You can't play custom sound files, and the sounds available are non-vocal in-game sound effects used by spell effects, etc. It would be confusing for alerts to use those sounds.

If any developers know if there are sounds beyond the _G["SOUNDS"] table, please let me know. I would love access to vocals particularly.

While this is possible, it requires a ton of complexity beyond what I want to do for a simple combat alerts mod. I'm keeping this mod strictly as a replacement for the Active Combat Tips, in addition to the enemy/player health alerts (that will be out in a day or two).
